“I'm reading a ton of these reviews and honestly I feel like people are at their worst when they're hungry. I'm visiting CA so I was surprised that this place was open so late. I came in like 5 minutes before closing too, but the woman helping me was nothing but polite. Good attitude makes for a great meal. Would ABSOLUTELY recommend this location. Chopped salad was divine. I had no idea they even made salads ?‍♂️“

“The service was friendly and efficient.The restaurant was clean although there was some water spilled on the floor in the dining area. It was blocked off with caution signs and the sandwich artist immediately corrected it as soon as he completed all of our orders.I requested that my sandwich be toasted. Unfortunately this made the bread really dried out and hard. That made the sandwich difficult to eat and I actually ended up wasting part of it because the edges of the bread were literally rock hard and impossible to chew.The parts that were not dried out were actually good, although the toppings were a bit skimpy.Also the restaurant was out of chocolate chip cookies which was disappointing because I had been going to order one.“

“With the Vietnamese sandwich shop now under new management, we decided to take advantage of their grand opening special, which included a free drink and bánh mì que for posting on social media. ??

Upon entering, we were warmly welcomed by the staff. ? Several customers were already inside, enjoying their regular bánh mì.

The shop features 3-4 small tables with stools, creating a cozy seating area. The space was clean and the menus were straightforward, making it easy to place our order. ✨

The service was incredibly friendly. Although the lady suggested her favorite, the fresh fruit tea, it was unfortunately sold out. ?? We chose the Thai tea and milk tea with boba instead. She generously added free fried shrimp to our order! ?❤️

The Thai tea was good, but the highlight was the milk tea. Unlike the typical black tea base, this one had a fragrant jasmine flavor that was absolutely delightful! ?

The bánh mì que is a new variation of the sandwich, being shorter and slimmer. It was packed with a delicious amount of char siu meat and fresh veggies. ???

Given the quality of these items, I’d definitely return to try their regular bánh mì when I’m in the area and craving a delicious Vietnamese sandwich. ?“

“Its a real hole in the wall spot. Been coming here since I was a little kid. Sad to see inflation hit this gem but I still occasionally buy a couple. I used to buy 12/24 at a time special #1 for the family.

As authentic as it gets, if i ever hit the lotto or make it big id invest in remodeling this place for the owner or get him in a new location. I hope he teaches someone how to make it as he does. My lao side and Filipino side has always made this spot a staple.“

“I occasionally crave a grilled cheese. Today, I tried the chicken pesto grilled cheese. I had to give my compliments to the chef! It was a nice, light option. Crisp bread, juicy chicken, fresh greens, and cheesy cheese... ?

Gave the atmosphere a 4 cuz the guy before me pissed sed all over the toilet and floor, then left a mess at his table when he left. People suck. When I let the cashier know, he took care of it right away.

“We were craving a delicious deli sandwich and this really hit a home run. First of all the service was fast and super friendly! We let them know it was our first time there and they explained it all. The restaurant has a cool laid back vibe. You can dine in and they have a nice bar seating area or sit out on the patio. It was such a beautiful warm day that we sat outside and enjoyed the beach tunes playing. The food was fresh and delicious I recommend this place to anyone looking for a cool deli place. At the end of our meal we were greeted by the manager Bailey, she wanted to make sure we had a nice time there and yes we sure did! We'll be back sometime soon!

Great subs, the Turkey Avacado Swiss is my go-to because it has good toppings, the vinegar they use just balances the whole Sandwich and gives it a delicious "zing", and the slightly toasted bread brings it home. All the sandwiches I've tried here are great, especially their Philly steak.It's definitely a treat every time I come here.“

“Great place to get "antojitos" (fruit salads and snacks). They have a bunch of different fruit options for smoothies and energy drinks. If your feeling hungry you can get sandwiches or tortas which I recommend you try once.

Parking: There is about 5-8 parking spots that is shared with the liquor store next door.“

“Amazingly friendly staff. When you walk in, you immediately feel like family. There is so much variety. The #25 is amazing with it's fresh sliced avocado. The #45 is easily my favorite hot sandwich. There is always 2 new soups daily and all of them are absolutely delicious. Everything is fresh and fully customizable. The prices are easily justified when you consider just how big the portions are. The staff in general will always make you feel welcome. “This was the first time I tried Jersey Mike's tuna, and it was very good. Maybe a little heavier on the mayo than I would like, but still quite tasty. It's good to know that they make fresh batches every day as needed, and what is left over at the end of the day is thrown out.I had the mini, Mike's way on wheat with extra pickles with Sun Chips and an unsweetened iced tea. The wheat bread was good, and so was everything inside the sandwich. With exception to the tuna, they do pile on the rest of the ingredients nicely. Parking: Located in a small corner plaza sharing a parking lot with the surrounding businesses.

Kid-friendliness: Has a small but decent kids menu or maybe I should say has a few good kids choices. As far as seating, standard wood/metal chairs/tables, no fluff. No play area, no booths or soft seats.

Wheelchair accessibility: Has ramp on outdoor sidewalk from parking lot that goes up to Jersey Mike's entrance.“

“I lived in Mission Beach yrs ago & in Old Mission was a Jersery Sub Shop & I have looked & looked all over S.D. for one that would be as good & I finally found Jersery Mikes. The first one I went to was in Merritta the other side of Temecula then when I came back to El Cajon I found the one on Broadway. haven't tried the one in Rancho S.D. yet ,I'm sure going to next time I'm over that way. So far they have been the closest to the one in Mission Beach. OK!“

“This place is fresh, clean and has great quality ingredients. Been here over 10 times and it’s always the same great experience.

Bread and wraps are so fresh! Onion roll, spinach wrap and sourdough breads are my go to. They use boar’s head meat and sauces, and i think they cut them in shop. Lettuce is shredded, tomatoes are firm and the avocado is perfect. I’m not sure how they always have perfect avocados, but they do.

Small selection of kettle chips, bottled soda and frozen treats rounds out the deli experience.

Staff is always smiling! The owner is in there every time, always has a great attitude that makes you smile. You can tell she wants her sandwich shop to be a great experience. Place is clean and can tell it’s well taken care of.
