Soups are home made 10. Serving Thrifty ice cream! The best place in La Jolla“
“I got the Terrell Davis: turkey, bacon, and provolone. Unique Dutch bread has a pretty good flavor, the texture was a little rough on the roof of my mouth, but not enough to make me stop eating it. We saw there is a Vegas location, so we’re planning on checking out that one too. Bonus, free suckers!“
“I'm a huge fan of this place. They are my go-to place for lunch or dinner at UCSD. Food is cheap and I am vegetarian so I don't have a huge palette anyway. All the staff there are fine. I've been there many many times, so I have met many of them. The cashier (at the time of writing) is particularly friendly and has some classy ways of saying "good day" to you (sorry, I don't remember the name). This Subway even has a discount if you get TWO of (almost) any footlong sub after 5pm on any day and all day on Sunday. You get the two for just $10. Even two of my favorite vegetarian subs cost ~$14 normally. Huge savings. If you go there as a vegetarian, you have to try out their veggie patty.“
“We were super duper impressed how Robert handled customers orders. It was a Sunday and the line was super long. I noticed Robert was the only one at the counter, taking orders, prepared sandwiches, also the cashier, with a perpetual smile. Robert was cool, calm, and collective. I do believe in energy of a food preparer transfering to eaters, and sure enough, I have eaten at Subways quite often, and the sandwiches never tasted that delicious as today. Thank you, Robert. Keep up smiley face. Hohoho Merry Merry Christmas.“
“Food was nothing short of incredible. Tried the Super Beef and a Buffalo Tender Sub. The beef was super tender, sliced very thin, and piled high. The sauce was reminiscent of a bbq sauce but much lighter with a thinner consistency. Sauce was tangy and slightly sweet and works perfect with the flavor of the beef. The tenders were perfect and stayed crispy even when tossed in buffalo. Portions of both were large and absolutely worth the price. Try the tortellini salad! Customer service was great as well!“
“Large portions. Friendly staff. Food is pretty dang good. Prices APPEAR to be a bit high due to the neighborhood, but portion easily gave me 2 meals. Well worth it. Huge portions!I came there with 2 hungry coworkers. We all left with extra in boxes for later. I happily recommend this place, straight up.Owner was part of the staff during our lunch. Great guy, very much "on it".Complaints: parking is a hot commodity in this neighborhood. Not their fault! Lol!! (Or is it? Hard to deny how many people like this place!)In short? This place has become a "go to" for many in a very short time. This "up and comer" is getting VERY popular for good reason!Dietary restrictions: Keto friendly in a heartbeat. Diabetic friendly same. I had multiple options, and I'm surprised at the options available.“
“Was craving a true deli sandwich and this didn't disappoint. Went for The Gaslamp (minus tomato) and it's massive, delicious and hit the spot. Slightly drippy/messy so grab extra napkins. I think I accidentally got extra meat as the ~$13 sandwich ended up being ~$15.50 after taxes and a 'surcharge' which I guess was for using a credit card? Not very busy on a Thursday before noon, one woman making the sandwiches. She was helpful, pleasant and put a smile on my face. The market sells some groceries, snacks, alcohol...“
“This place was very unassuming but the sandwiches were great! Literally a hole in the wall with great food which are our favorite places to stop for lunch. As I was standing there I noticed the smell of freshly cooked bacon which made me more hungry. They had creative choices and a lot of them. The deli meats and toppings tasted fresh and the sandwiches were nicely crafted. All our sandwiches were spot on. To top it all off the service was very friendly. If you are looking for a quick lunch for the family check this place out!“
“This place is a GEM! Fantastic selection of domestic and imported cheeses, drinks, snacks. They have a lot of locally made gourmet foods available. Great craft beer and wine (local and imported) selection. It's located close to Pure Project and I recommend getting food here first. They have a fantastic and reasonably price deli inside with tons of food options all prepared fresh. You can tell this place is a neighborhood staple.“
“Can’t believe it took me this long to find this restaurant. The portions were massive af and the sandwiches are really tasty. Big amounts of every topping and meat, can’t go wrong with anything you order. I ordered the Dapper Dipper (roast beef, swiss, tempura onion, horseradish, au jus) and he got the Rich Boy (chipotle chicken, avocado, monterey jack, lettuce, tomato, onion, garlic mayo). Both were really good but I think I liked the Dapper Dipper better. Would recommend everyone to check this place out.“
