“Everyone that works at the Cafe is very nice, the breakfast and lunch is tasty and reasonably priced. I am always greeted when I arrived and made to feel appreciated when I order something from the menu. The burger meals are a great deal for lunch. “I'm a huge fan of this place. They are my go-to place for lunch or dinner at UCSD. Food is cheap and I am vegetarian so I don't have a huge palette anyway.All the staff there are fine. I've been there many many times, so I have met many of them. The cashier (at the time of writing) is particularly friendly and has some classy ways of saying "good day" to you (sorry, I don't remember the name).This Subway even has a discount if you get TWO of (almost) any footlong sub after 5pm on any day and all day on Sunday. You get the two for just $10. Even two of my favorite vegetarian subs cost ~$14 normally. Huge savings.If you go there as a vegetarian, you have to try out their veggie patty.“
“We were super duper impressed how Robert handled customers orders. It was a Sunday and the line was super long. I noticed Robert was the only one at the counter, taking orders, prepared sandwiches, also the cashier, with a perpetual smile. Robert was cool, calm, and collective. I do believe in energy of a food preparer transfering to eaters, and sure enough, I have eaten at Subways quite often, and the sandwiches never tasted that delicious as today. Thank you, Robert. “Right on the main strip in Pacific Beach, you've got quite a bit of choices to eat, but this is definitely the burger spot to choose. The price point is a little high, but the food is absolutely worth it. They greet you with a warm welcome, and it's a nice cozy little location, they also have a few seats on the patio out front. They have some massive burgers that hit the spot! My two personal favorites are the Billy Cheeseburger! It's a double smashburger. And if you're feeling like a big massive monster burger I highly recommend the Spurgeon Infit Burger... It has chicharron on it!! They also have incredible milkshakes. Highly recommend the mazepan milkshake! They also have some really tasty chicken tenders with some good dipping sauces. Parking is a little bit of a pain, and Pacific Beach recently added parking meters which makes it even more annoying.. but if you don't mind parking a few blocks away it's a nice short walk and it feels good before you go into grab a bite! Side note, they also have a restroom you can use if you ask for the code.“

The young lady who took my order was very nice and knew about the different items they had. Which nowadays is quite surprising.In any event I received 2 Large pieces of chicken, a leg and a thigh. NOT those wingsized pieces that they claim are Large at the more popular, well known, and Much MoreExpen$$$ivve fast food chicken joints.I also got a decent sized side of jambalaya, a piece of maple buttered toast, and a drinkIt Was Delicious! The chicken was lightly battered and fried perfectly. Not greasy at all. The jambalaya was spicy without being So spicy that it detracted from the flavor of your chicken, and the toast was really tasty.They also offer about 10 different dipping sauces.
