“Solid california burrito. Decent size, not huge but not tiny either. Great ingredient ratio but salsa was mid, not terrible but not amazing. Could do without the whole burrito tasting like raw onions but hoping that was maybe a one off of them just not cleaning the area where they diced onions earlier that day.

Id say its in the top 10 California's in San Diego, and top 3 in Point Loma. Not sure Id go again with them being so close to 2 other spots I prefer, but it was worth trying for sure.“

“Bale French Sandwich is a tiny shop tucked away in Mira Mesa Square serving quick Vietnamese dishes like banh mi, fried rice, egg rolls, and boba.

We enjoyed the charbroiled pork and lemongrass chicken banh mi - a great value at $6.25 each. The bread had a great crust: thin, very crisp, and flaky. The pickled carrot and daikon added nice texture and brightness, while the raw jalapeños brought the right amount of heat. The egg rolls were also a hit, with a peppery flavor and a crisp outer shell.

Note that this is a grab-and-go spot with a strictly business vibe. The service is efficient, so have your order ready. There is only one small table for snacking and two benches for waiting. They also offer extensive party tray options if you order in advance.

There is plenty of free parking, though the lot gets competitive on weekends due to the nearby Aldi and Lucky Seafood Market.“

“Doesn’t look like much walking past, but WOW this was amazing and fresh Mexican food- I had the TamaElote- a perfect tamale topped with generous deconstructed Elote topping- two of my favorite things all warm and happy for only $5, it fed me better than the much more expensive meals we’d spend for a similar meal at a fancy restaurant. Perfect for walking around old town, but worthy of a destination in itself!“

“I’ll start off my review with saying great customer service . It shows the owner has put in a lot much of his/her time to train their employees properly . Every time I walk in I am always greeted and never rushed when ordering . I personally love there fruit waters and making my own chip bowl. All prices are decent and affordable so they fit everyones budget . It can get busy from time to time but totally worth the wait . I definitely recommend visiting this location to grab something for your sweet tooth or salty craving:) . Most importantly this location is always clean and sanitized ! You will never see a mess.“

“We love El Sombrero! Everything is excellent! We live right next to a **berto’s but haven’t been there in years since we found this gem!

The beans are great! The rice is great! The chips are great! The chunky salsa is amazing! I know these are “sides” but it means a lot.

I’m a huge Chile verde fan and the burrito is fantastic! Add rice and cheese and it’s two meals.

My wife loves the relleno, taquitos, crunchy taco, Cali taco and, her new favorite, deluxe breakfast burrito.

“This place is great, I got the shrimp burrito. who knew tater tots and shrimp go well together! It adds a slight crispness to every bite. I couldn’t finish the burrito it was so big but I wanted to cuz it was delicious. My husband from PA got the Philly cheesesteak to try and he approved. He even liked the special sauce they used.“

“Chuck-fil-a is always a good choice when on a road trip! We stopped at this location to take a break, stretch and eat. I love the salads here…my husband and I ordered the Cobb salad with avocado dressing, the kids got the chicken sandwich and nuggets. I’ve never been to a chick-fil-a where customer service is bad and this wasn’t the case. Customer service was polite and very nice. It was very clean and they even had a play area for small kids. They have this sign of this person that has dined with them for so many days, thought that was pretty cool!“

“This place is located in the food court inside 99 Ranch in Balboa Ave. They have tables to sit in. I ordered the 3 piece chicken combo meal. Salt & pepper flavor. “Amazingly friendly staff. When you walk in, you immediately feel like family. There is so much variety. The #25 is amazing with it's fresh sliced avocado. The #45 is easily my favorite hot sandwich. There is always 2 new soups daily and all of them are absolutely delicious. Everything is fresh and fully customizable. The prices are easily justified when you consider just how big the portions are. The staff in general will always make you feel welcome. They are attentive to their customers and have a unique way of making a bad day a lot better. Highly recommend just for the atmosphere here.“
