“Such a good coffee shop. Seriously incredible tasting coffee and an interesting variety in their menu. Options on the menu are perfect as it isn’t too overwhelming to choose a drink (which is a pet peeve of mine). They also have gifts for purchase at the front including a curated package of everything to make their Hanoi Egg Coffee. I have it all at home and I am in love. If I could rate Saigon 6 stars I would.“

“This will be quicker than my usual review.
The atmosphere was welcoming, warm, and soft. This place is a smaller venue with a large amount of seating. The color tones are unique and draw the eyes from one accent to another. This is a beautiful place.
Service was nothing short of expected and even felt like it was over my usual expectations. The barista's did an amazing job service my latte in a timely manner. This place has a steady number of customers and would love to see thuer performance during peak hours.
Overall, I would definitely come here again. Without trying others in the area, this would be a frequent favorite.“

“I ordered the Oaxaca (washed) and Puebla roasts for espresso. Both are out of this world! Hands down some of the best coffee I’ve ever enjoyed. I can’t wait to order more! (Photo taken before opening the second bag)“

“I have been going to Kakawa Coffee almost daily for a couple of years. Best cup of coffee around and I love the "mom & pop" setting. I always try to do business with locals -- you can't go wrong trying Kakawa! (The Americano is my fav.)“

“Stumbled across this wonderful coffee shop while visiting old town San Diego. A gem of a place, wonderful service and the coffee was delicious, there were 6 people in my party and we all enjoyed our drinks. I highly recommended stopping by and having a delicious cup of coffee or espresso.“

“Beautiful ambience. I had a light roast pour over. It was yummy but too small to satisfy my coffee need for the morning so had to get another! They have incredible looking pastries - none of which I could eat bc none are gluten free. But look heavenly“

“**Reposting from Yelp**
Go for the coffee, not for the bagels.
The herbed cream cheese bagel was completely underwhelming and I would not order it again. The bagel did not taste fresh and there was only a small layer of cream cheese topped with everything bagel seasoning and scallions. Overall, it tasted like a plain bagel from the grocery store and something I could have easily put together myself - definitely not worth $6.
The saving grace of this order was the cinnamon swirl mocha - it was delicious! I'd definitely order this again!
I ordered from their website and chose curbside pickup. The ordering process was very simple. While it was difficult to find a spot close by to wait for my order to be brought out, it was better than trying to find parking.“

“Cute open space of a coffee shop. I honestly love their espresso. It's great as a simple latte. I was a little disappointed that I ordered a 16oz latte but didn't get the full amount, but it was a personal mug so they may have thought it was a larger cup than it actually is.
That being said.... It was still absolutely delicious and I still love this place.
Plenty of seating, parking not so much, or so it seems, but if you're in the area definitely check this place out.
Also, I previously purchased their decaf roast beans for an evening cup of coffee at home, and they're also really good. Definitely try their roasts!
Vegetarian options: They have plenty of vegetarian options, such as milk substitutions and meatless pastry.
Dietary restrictions: Customer service is helpful here, I'm sure if you mention what you need they'd be able to help find you something.“
“This was my first time to Dojo cafe!! I plan on making it my go to place for coffee. Love the outdoor sitting area. Also tried this amazing coffee that has good health benefits. Great ambience. Will recommend to friends and family.“

“We enjoyed a fantastic brunch at Madi and the experience was worth the Uber trip from our hotel in the Marina. The customer service exceeded our expectations and the menu items were unique and flavorful. We sat on the patio and the noise level was perfect for conversation. We look forward to a return visit on our next trip to San Diego.“

“Stopped here before hitting the road for a long drive to get my caffeine fix. Decided on a Peach Latte which the barista said they had not tried yet. I got this drink hot with whole milk so the foam was a little weird but it was still a great drink. I highly suggest getting this iced as it makes for a perfect summer or hot day drink. 5/5.“

“Traditional, fresh, and tasty cake & yeast-raised donuts in a cozy yet dated setting, not to be missed! Server ensures every customer feels welcomed and cared for. She may be quite chatty, eager to engage customers in conversation and share stories and opinions. Her presence adds a personal touch to the experience, making each visit memorable beyond just the delicious treats.“

“Delicious brewed tea. Their monthly frescas are great and the staff is good about letting you sample different teas before you order. I normally get jasmine or oolong milk tea full sugar with honey boba but their oolong guava was too good to pass up. I always stop by when I’m in the area.“

“Elvira is FANTASTIC. The food is amazing, the space is relaxing and beautiful and the service is wonderful. Each and every time I have gone, every person I've been with has raved about their meal. One of the great joys is bringing friends to Elvira for the first time and after the meal, they immediately make plans to return again. The only downside to Elvira is trying to decide if it's the best food in San Diego, or if Cesarina is. I love both of my daughters the same amount, and I love both of those restaurants the same. If you haven't been, you need to do yourself a favor and go.“

“The customer service is definitely the best at this place. Diana was so kind and helpful. She was definitely the best one. She wrote a note on my order since it was a surprise for my friend. I was so thankful for every detail, it is hard to find wonderful people like Diana offering great customer experience! I ordered açai bowls and they had gluten free option as well which is great. I would recommend this lovely place to anyone. Specially for its staff. Thank you so much Diana

“Super nice staff, bit of a longer wait but with this place being so busy for good reason, it’s worth it! The food was amazing, and the staff were super helpful with the menu. We got to chatting a bit about Japan with the staff, you can tell everything is super authentic and they really care about this place. 100% would recommend to anyone in the SoCal area!“

“great quality tea!
you can smell the sweet tea aroma the second you walk into the shop
this is a busy plaza and hard to get to from the san diego area because del mar isn’t really connected to the MTS system
for runners, i love to start out in la jolla, near UCSD campus, run along torrey pines trail all the way to the state beach (nice downhill), and then climb 700+ feet alongside the pacific coast highway and then turn up the extreme incline of del mar heights rd, then the omomo will taste phenomenal and you don’t have to worry about parking“

“I had an amazing time! EVA was incredible, friendly and despite the HOT blazing sun beaming on her and the team they were all in a good spirits. Thank you for kindness and speedy service. My drink the hibiscus was ready by the time I finished paying!
I had been before and I don’t remember them having food options. I was pleasantly surprised at the variety of options. I did the scrambled eggs with bacon and toast. It was the perfect breakfast since I wasn’t too hungry. I was curious about the biscuit with lemon curd. I am so glad I ordered it! It was delicious. My hibiscus drink was refreshing!
The line was long however it went by fast.
It’s worth the wait!
I look forward to returning! ?
Parking: It’s ok if you don’t park in the lot designated for them,
It’s a short walk and a beautiful view!“

“I've done both dine-in and take-out here, and it's always been good. The food is always tasty, but you go here for the desserts because they are top-tier. Desserts are always changing, and they sell out of the popular ones early, so you never know what you're going to end up with, but you know it's going to be good. I'm also a big fan of their teas - especially the Lover Girl tea.
This is a great place to hang out outside with friends while having good food.
Also makes a good date place!
Vegetarian options: There are some vegetarian and vegan desserts. Just check the labels for each item.
Dietary restrictions: A decent number of vegan dishes, so if you're vegan or dairy free just ask. Also decent number of gluten-free items.
Kid-friendliness: I wouldn't call this place particularly kid-friendly, but I have seen some children at this location.“

There is also a option to sit inside if you don't enjoy the main eating lobby. I hope that they finds a new home in the new Zion market as Zion is looking to move around May 2024 or so.I love the convenience of shopping at both places in one trip. We'll see I suppose. “This restaurant checked all the boxes for a noon time lunch. The location itself, we sat on the patio, was beautiful. The menu had everything we liked and it tasted even better. Very worldly and thoughtful to vegans and vegetarians as well. That is a must on menus today like it or not. Great place to take visiting guests too as they will be impressed with the whole experience since it sits inside such a beautiful park. Bravo!“
