Mnemonic Coffee Reviews
Maybe my favorite coffee shop in San Diego. If you’re a specialty coffee snob like me, Mnemonic should be at the top of your list!
Staff was amazing and so helpful!
I have been to this coffee shop many times and every single time is a hit. The people who run this place are so friendly, very helpful if you're curious, and do not rush you, rather help you make a decision in a few simple questions. I love that they use oat milk. I love the art on the walls (A LOT). Finally, the COFFEE!! YUM. I would never try half the things I've tried here but I genuinely like them all. The Chiarusco is my favorite to date.

Mnemonic Coffee offers a welcoming atmosphere with impeccable design details and friendly service. The cortado is praised as the best and most consistent in town, and the coffee is good. The spot is chill, making it perfect for a relaxing visit or a quick takeaway to enjoy in nearby Balboa Park. The menu features unique drinks like The Basic and The Giddyup, available for a slightly elevated price. The pour-over, particularly the Ethiopian beans, is incredible on its own and prepared with precision and care. The bar seating is comfortable, and the music is great, with a cozy and pretty space. This spot is a real gem. The vanilla latte is of the highest quality, with a strong vanilla and espresso flavor that isn't overpowering. The scary spice latte has incredible fall flavors. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about coffee, and the atmosphere is unique and beautiful. Mnemonic Coffee is a hidden gem, with a dog-friendly environment and cute merch, making it a new go-to coffee shop.
They stock coffees from several high-end roasters, and every drink tried has been exceptional, especially the pour over, espresso, or both. The space has immaculate vibes and lots of vibe. It is probably one of the most solid coffee spots in San Diego, with thoughtful and well-done flavored drinks. Customers often recommend checking them out and getting addicted.
This place is so good! Located nearby, it is highly recommended for anyone seeking great coffee. Whether it’s a vanilla latte or their chiaroscuro, you can’t go wrong. Seasonal drinks are especially recommended, as they are the best. In the mornings, pastries and burritos go fast, so it’s best to order early. The baristas are experienced, as seen in the beautiful latte art. The space is perfect for relaxing or grabbing a quick drink, with a cozy and inviting environment.
