Animae
“Service was unusually distracted, with table clearing occurring prior to permission and large periods of time between service. Reaching across guests and late bottle of wine delivery caught my attention. Perhaps there was a shortage of staff last night? The kitchen did not disappoint which is always my experience at Animae. ❤️❤️”

Cesarina
“Cesarina is our favorite place for a special meal. The patio ambiance is so relaxed and comfortable. The service is impeccable without being stuffy and the food is just amazing. Don't miss the tiramisu. Thanks Daniele for a great evening”
“The management and employees treat you like family, the food is warm, delicious, and the portions are huge. I cannot say enough good things about this gem in Little Italy. My favorite spot.”

“****Get here very early, no reservations, and lines start 30-45 mins before the place opens*****We heard this place was on the Michelin guide and decided to give it a try. We came on a Monday morning 30 mins before they opened and were surprised to see a line already forming. We ended up waiting for a table, no longer than 20 mins, but it was definitely worth the wait!!We love the vibe of this place, very playful with the decorations, and the energetic and funny staff. The food was amazing, with a very unique breakfast menu we had a hard time choosing, but ended up getting the steak and eggs and the Khachapuri. Steak was cooked perfectly, and the Khachapuri was a unique twist on breakfast that i really enjoyed! The drinks were also top-notch. We got the carmel latte and a matcha latteThe place is relatively small, so if you do not want to wait for a table, you can opt for seats at the bar, which are just as good with some more decorations and view of little Italy. Would highly recommend and lookong forward to. Going back when we visit Cali.”
“Happy hour menu tonight and all was exceptional except the jamon croquettes. No flavor at all and they were out of caviar even though it was on the menu!!! Shame!!! However the service at the bar was exceptional! Friendly, professional and timely.”
“We absolutely loved our experience here and would come back in a heartbeat. The attention to detail, small group setting, high quality fish, and excellent service blew us away. Such interesting and creative flavor combinations without overshadowing the beauty of the fish itself. I’ve never had an omakase experience quite like this and would definitely recommend you splurge and try it yourself!”

“My boyfriend and I were so thrilled for our first experience in this beautiful restaurant and bar! The food was delicious and the back patio adorable. After dinner, we had a drink in the bar/speakeasy and LOVED that space.”
“Friendly, family oriented neighborhood Italian restaurant. Seating, ambiance, and wait staff were exceptional. The food was served hot and delicious. The relaxed atmosphere allowed us to enjoy our meal. We highly recommend the Villa Capri Ristorante.”

Young Blood
“The gentlemen were super nice and really attentive to my preferences. It blew my mind the way they combined ingredients to make the cocktails taste exactly how you wanted them to. I had a Tiramisu cocktail for dessert and it was phenomenal!”

“What a delight!!We had:Scallop CrudoSwordfishScallop RisottoHalibut + ChipsWe loved the Scallop Crudo as a starter to share. It was tangy and fragrant, a delight to the taste buds that prepared the palate for the next course. The swordfish was cooked to perfection, with a tasty blend of flavors. The Risotto was delicious. The atmosphere was lively, warm and friendly.Definitely a must if you are in the area!”
“My better half and I came here for a dinner date, and we had a very nice time. Oyster was fresh and large, and the yakitories were quite tasty, too. They had good selection of sakes of which we tried one and enjoyed. The only reason for the 4 stars was for a rather limited yakitory selections. I wish they had more seafood options such as shrimp or clams. Otherwise, my better half and I pigged out ($$$$, lol) and left satisfied. Reservation is pretty much required.”

“Jordan made our night! The service was impeccable and he was so kind, engaging, and made our experience very special. I'll definitely be back to see Jordan and try new plates!”
“It's always wonderful going to Frenandez Restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious (the best Birfia in town) and the service is like going to a relative's home.”
“The tacos here are awesome. Very unique flavor combinations. Some more traditional than others. The service is a little weird. You order at the bar. The bartender took one order, then stopped and made drinks, then another order and so on. They really need a dedicated person for orders. The food came out fast but then nobody ever came back to check on us. The lowest tip option that wasn't "custom" was 18%. That's a big tip for almost zero service. The drinks were just ok. Nothing special. Next time we're going to stick to the tacos.”
“Our favorite restaurant in San Diego right now. The staff and Chef never miss with a dish or service. Date night at the bar is amazing. Cocktails are great and the wine list is an excellent compliment to the menu.”

“We were looking for a local place, a hole-in-the-wall, to try some fresh and good tacos…and Oscar’s did not disappoint! It’s a small no-frills joint with flavorful tacos. We ordered the fish, shrimp, and smoked fish tacos. The smoked fish tacos is a MUST! The mixed ceviche was fresh and delicious. They offered a free sample of their fish soup when we were there - I would’ve ordered a bowl. It was so good! and oh so good ?”

“Food was delicious! I ordered the lemon pepper wings, bulgogi fries and kimchi fried rice. All ! Service was excellent. Alayna was our server and she was super friendly and helped us with the menu and recommendations since it was our first time there.”

“Great fresh seafood! We ordered the grilled octopus, the steamed clam + mussels, ceviche, and fish n’ chips.First everything you can tell is fresh- something I truly appreciated. The grilled octopus was perfectly cooked and comes with a delicious salad. One of the best octopus plates I’ve had. The steamed clam + mussels were also delicious- it actually reminded me of one of my favorite meals I had on a visit to Portugal. Fish n’chips were also very good.Ceviche was meh. I would recommend not getting this. If they could take it off their menu, even better because the other things they have are so great.”

Herb & Wood
“Very popular and well loved fine dining but casual Little Italy institution. Beautiful expansive horseshoe bar. Of the four of us, I was the only critic of the food. The ingredients are top-notch, but my salad was too acidic. My braised beef cheeks, a generous portion, were oddly crisped but tender on the inside. The broth was, surprise, acidic. Previously, I had the Branzino wrapped in spec (bacon), which was too salty in that it obliterated the taste of the branzino. Then again, everyone else enjoyed their meals.”
“Amazing place. Giovanni, the owner, is a precise, punctual and polite person; knows how to put you at ease. The pizza is good and so is the frying. The exceptional pistachio dessert. We'll be back.”

Il Posto
“Visited this spot first night in San Diego, my girlfriend and I were seated right away on a Monday night. The ambience gives a modern vibe with chill and slow r&b/classy music. Our server checked in with us multiple times while another server made sure our cups were never empty or close to empty. Customer service A+. When I read the other reviews I expected the food to live up to the hype of the reviews people left, and the food did not disappoint one bit. Authentic Italian food is the perfect way to describe the food. The diavola pizza was spicy, cheese and tomato sauce was cooked perfect, crust and border was light and crisp, salame was tasteful, 10/10. For the calamari and shrimp, they were fried lightly and rated fresh. I would say the marinara different from most places, I don't really know how to describe it but I would prefer other marinaras at other Italian restaurants. For the penne cremosa, I enjoyed the penne pasta itself as it was not too flimsy or soft, instead the penne noodles were a little more rough. The white cream sauce was not over cooked, not too creamy, just right. However, there is a lot of mushroom in the dish so if you are not big on mushroom it will be a bit overwhelming lol. Not pictured which my girlfriend ordered was the tagliatelle with arrabbiata sauce. I'm not a big red sauce guy, but tasting her pasta I would order that myself. It had a little kick of spice in it and the flavor and seasoning in the sauce was just so appetizing. I would 100% come back to this restaurant and I 100% recommend this restaurant to any new comers and visitors like myself. They definitely deserve 5 stars for not only their authentic food but exceptional customer service.”
Outdoor Dining
“The management and employees treat you like family, the food is warm, delicious, and the portions are huge. I cannot say enough good things about this gem in Little Italy. My favorite spot.”
“The cashier recommended the taco platter because i was so overwhelmed by the complete plant based ingredient menu, I didn't know where to start, do I really enjoyed the taco platter with tree variations of the taco ingredients ,all plant based that completely out did any conventional Mexican food i had ever had, and the energy i felt afterwards was great in comparison to wanting to pass out from food coma”
“Every single dish we ordered was absolutely amazing. We sat outside under a heater. Even though it was chilly, we were comfortable because they gave us blankets. The server was friendly and informative.”
“Third time eating at Tribute Pizza, and still did not disappoint! This time, we ordered the brussel sprouts and The Brooklyn's Best Pizza. Both were incredible. The waiter was right, that those caramelized onions on the pizza is the best in the region. Service was on point and atmosphere was very casual/cozy!”
“It was just a beautiful, tasty, artful experience. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, and feels straight out of Japan. The staff are attentive and kind. The reservation system is annoying, but once you get in it makes sense. They have a tiny seating capacity and I believe that's critical to the quality of their food. You have to get the full 2hr omakase. It's an incredible journey from start to finish. I've had sushi all over the world, this is some of the best I've ever tasted. If you sit at the bar (which you must try and do) you can watch their three sushi chefs prepare the fish right in front of you. If you're not used to Japanese flavors and textures, definitely come with an open mind! Most of the pieces they serve aren't the norm in American Japanese restaurants.I went for my birthday and the chef pulled a guitar out of nowhere and serenaded Happy Birthday with the staff. I've been twice and it's absolutely worth the price tag.”
“Ciccia Osteria is a gem of authentic Italian cuisine in the heart of Barrio Logan. The chefs, Mario and Francesca, use recipes from Northern Italy and pair them with exquisite wines. They even bake their own panettone, a traditional Christmas cake. The restaurant has a cozy and charming atmosphere, with food made with love. However, parking can be tricky, so I recommend taking an Uber. They accept walk-ins, but make sure to dress warmly in winter, as they only have patio dining. The menu has a variety of dishes to suit every taste, but my personal favorite is the mushroom flan. It is creamy, savory, and simply delicious. I also enjoyed the milanese veal, which was tender and crispy. The smoky old-fashioned cocktail and the roccotta olive oil spread for the fresh bread were also amazing. And of course, I could not resist their lasagne, which was rich and satisfying.Ciccia Osteria is my new go-to place for Italian food in San Diego. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their dishes. If you are looking for a genuine and delightful Italian experience, you should definitely check it out.Ciccia Osteria has earned a Bib Gourmand designation from the Michelin Guide. This means that it offers good quality and good value cooking, which is rare to find these days.Parking: Take an UberWheelchair accessibility: Ease first floor.”

“Most delicious chicken quesadilla of my life! I grew up in Texas and travelled all over Mexico. Tender and ample chicken and perfectly prepared. Coming back soon!”
“The food at Nine-Ten is amazing. We had their sashimi to start and it was full of flavor and a lovely touch of acidity. We had the duck as an entree, which came with a pretty decent amount of meat, and asparagus and mushrooms on the side. I'm definitely not doing it justice in the description but it was delicious and filling. Not my favorite duck I've ever had but still tasted great. My favorite part was their half baked chocolate cake. It was the perfect cherry on top of a great meal.”
“Pricey. Exquisite atmosphere & delicious foods for dinner. Group of 13 of us booked the Captain’s Room which requires a $800 minimum. Popcorn was served while gathering our orders and it was a unique starter. 100% recommend the duck meatball ($19) and the Molten Chocolate Cake ($12)!”
“Where has this place been all my life??? It feels like a spa. All tucked away from the hustle bustle. Lots of green and chill vibes. The friuted sour is literally all I ever wanted in a beer. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. This place is the perfect location to start your night out, or come for a quick break from life. Def will be back ”
“Great atmosphere, food and drinks were delicious. We didn’t have much service aside from when food was ordered and brought back. No check ins. Liked the proximity to Little Italy. Oysters and Lobster Roll was great!”
“Okay what is there to not say about this location. You have a sweet tooth, you are on the right page. You are craving some Middle Eastern coffee or tea, you are locked in. Looking for a beautiful, calm and scenic atmosphere to enjoy with company, then Finjan is the place to be. Now redirect your Google Maps search to Finjan for an extraordinary experience not only for the quality of the desserts, drinks and atmosphere but for the incredibly friendly, funny and outgoing employees who make the experience worth going. Thinking you might feel a bit hungry, no need to stress because Tahini is right next door. I genuinely recommend this location as the overall experience continues to draw me back. Jazakallahkhair to Mahmoud, Osama and their incredible team for all you do.”

“The newly redeveloped Lexington market features a variety of vendors in a bright, airy, clean l, and safe indoor space. Most of the booths are food and there is a huge diversity in thier offerings. So far I have purchased food from the Korean restaurant, the potatoe resteraunt, and a coffee place. Everything has been perfectly made and the vendors are so friendly. I'll be back to shop at the butchers soon as well.”

Wormwood
“First visit to Wormwood and it was an excellent culinary experience. It was a bit loud in the dining room and it is not a cheap dinner date but the service was phenomenal and the food and drinks were, for the most part, delectable. Tonight we ordered a farmers loaf of bread to share which came out steaming hot and accompanied by a delicious butter. We also ordered the French Onion dish that made my eyes roll to the back of my head. Let’s suffice to say I could have just ordered a couple of those French Onion apps and been perfectly content without needing a main dish. Nonetheless, our party ordered the Sea Bass, Chicken and the mushroom pasta dishes as mains. Everyone was happy with their meal and the plating was beautiful as you can see in the pictures. Overall it was a great meal - maybe not a regular date night sort of place but worth it for an occasional splurge.”

“Really delicious and worth the (very short) wait. Honestly the best almond croissant I’ve ever had. Friendly staff and a great chill atmosphere. Wish I didn’t live so far away!”
“Super cool speakeasy. Small, intimate, and classy, with a VIP vibe. It’s hard not to feel special the first time you go, and are let in through the nondescript door in the back alley. Made for a fun night!”

“Was recommended by a friend and was served by John Nguyen, he gave me the recommendation to try the fries and chow mein and it was great! Great service would definitely come back again.”
“Best breakfast of 2024. The duck and truffle omelette is definitely catapulted my cholesterol levels to the moon but it was worth it. It was greasy due to the truffle oil and eggs but absolutely delicious. The restaurant has indoor/outdoor seating. Music was on point and staff was energetic. A great spot for Sunday brunch”
“The parking is little tricky and sometimes you need to park on the street. The sushi and presentation is authentic and very very fresh. The two chefs create very friendly environment. We love going there. The price of the food is very reasonable and well worth it.They change the menu every 3 months. We definitely will be back.”
“I cannot begin to say how amazing my experience was here. Biz, Emmy and the other person working (so sorry for spelling and names it was quite loud) on march 13th were absolutely amazing biz and his cocktail knowledge was impeccable. I came here solo with some anxiety and I was immediately felt at home. Later into the night they continued to provide amazing service and recommendations for other areas in San Diego. I'm visiting from Seattle and they definitely made my entire trip!”
“Went for lunch and got the omakase, it was incredible. Expensive, but the unbelievable food and unique experience justifies the price for a special occasion. Every bite of fish was unique, fresh, and tasty. Shrimp and scallop sashimi were out of this world, same goes for the marinated tuna. Even dessert was delicious. No wonder dinner reservations are so hard to get!”
“Rare Society is one of the best restaurants for our Christmas Eve dinner. The rib eye was so tender, even when asked for well done. Mine was a bit too charred on the outside, however. The rolls were delicious, hot, and melted in your mouth. The ceasar salad was the best I had with so much cheese! The service was wonderful and attentive. Worth a visit for that special occasion.”
“The food items were delicious, great selection of interesting dishes. The wine list was impressive (we’ve been to major wine areas all over the planet). However, what we were most impressed with was our server Olivia. She knew the menu items very well - could answer any and all questions that we had. She expressed herself very positively. Rather than ask “are you still working on that?”; she asked “are you still enjoying your meal?” Rather than reply to a thank you with “no problem” or “no worries”; Olivia replied with “my pleasure.” When we go back; we’ll make a point of asking for Olivia!!!”
“Stumbled across this gem. If you're in the San Diego area, I highly recommend. The food was great and so was the service. Ribs and pulled pork were my favorite. Sides were delicious too. Mac, baked beans, and slaw were all good. The corn bread is the best I've ever had. Spacious place to hang out with friends.”
“If you were to ask me yesterday where the best dumplings in San Diego were, I'd just say there are a couple of places that are okay, but no strong endorsements.Meet Dumpling has completely changed that for me; they are the real deal. This family is from Northeast China, and in China their area is famous for being 水饺 (boiled dumpling) masters.Everything we tried was "the best" (read, our favorite) version of that dish that we've had in San Diego, and any one of them would have been top tier even back in China. The flavors here are perfectly balanced, the ingredients are high quality and fresh, and you can tell the owners and staff put incredible care and a huge amount of work into this place.Their daughter is also super cute and sassy! I still haven't beaten her in Uno but I'll be trying again soon.”

“This was the best restaurant experience I have ever had. The waiters were very friendly and attentive. Our order arrived on time, and most importantly, the dishes were delicious. I visited the place with my wife, and she was very pleased. As they say, a happy wife equals a happy life.”
“Great atmosphere, food and drinks were delicious. We didn’t have much service aside from when food was ordered and brought back. No check ins. Liked the proximity to Little Italy. Oysters and Lobster Roll was great!”

“I’m in love with the quality and information that this company is willing to share! I am a dog trainer in Canada and will be letting my students know about this amazing company! Jessica in customer service is absolutely amazing. I am just blown away with this company. Thank you for the amazing treats my pups loved them! I am looking forward to our next box! Please continue to have exceptional service, great quality and educating pet parents! Highly recommended trying their monthly boxes.”
“We stumbled upon this place by chance, but if we find ourselves in the area again, we'd gladly return.Rudford's exudes a charming local vibe, nestled in a historic part of the city with its retro diner aesthetic. The menu boasts a wide selection to cater to various tastes, and every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. Our family savored the bacon, avocado, and cheese omelette, a croissant sandwich, and a cinnamon roll. The service was attentive, and everyone we encountered was incredibly friendly, enhancing the overall atmosphere.”
“I came to this location very late and my server Ana was so nice , she did a great job !! Thank you Dennys Thanks Ana and all employees, still good in 2022 also good in 2024”
“I had no trust in Dennys service, but today Ali changed my mind. Wonderful experience to take my breakfast with her service! Thank you Dennys for having Ali attending us, but the most: thank you Ali!! u r the best!”
“Diana, our server, and Manager Richardo provided exceptional customer service! The bilingual staff made my family feel incredibly welcome. Not to mention, the food was outstanding.”
“Hands down the best service by Jessie and his team. We had a very large group meet here and throughout our experience his staff was attentive and truly took care of our needs. Despite the group size, our food all came out hot and fresh. A wonderful experience.”
“Hits the spot, especially late night Portions are large - these tacos def aren't your typical street taco size, the diameter of the tortillas had to be around 8 inches. I appreciate that they're open 24/7 and that they offer their full menu for the entirety of that time but beware: they do automatically charge a 20% service fee (not sure if it's just a late-night thing or if that's enforced all the time).”
“I tired the California burger ! It was so fresh and big ! I barely finished it but I made sure I finished it because it was delicious !! I can't wait to try their other burgers and food on the menu. Highly recommend it !!”
“If you are a fan of carnitas, you are in for a treat! I ordered Carnitas fries it is delicious! The meat is seasoned well, fries could be cooked a lil bit longer but its my preference. Got it with everything on it! Fully satisfied and will be ordering again.”
“I liked how the cashier treated me, days ago we bought the burritos, very bad, the cashier was very rude to me, she yelled at me and answered me very badly, I didn't like itI give it 100 stars ?✨?????✨?????✨?”
“Staff and service is always friendly and professional. Great food, classic Dennys style restaurant. The menu has a large selection of breakfast lunch and dinner items plus drinks (non alcohol) tea's, sodas, shakes, smoothies, (coffee ☕ of course). Mostly I appreciate the team there for their great service, cook's, waitress, management all make the food and dinning worth taking all your family and friends to enjoy.”
“Not at all people say the cheese is never melted but it is I go there almost everyday and they have the best food ever it’s so good and they have are so nice and healthy and drive thru so fast and kids working there with an adult ofc there always so nice and caring SO GOOD FOOD 10/10 RECAMANd and so cheap”
“Great service with a smile. The food was great, the coffee just the perfect mix and the croissant was extra flaky and buttery. The entire trip was a kick relaxation from running errands around town the whole day. I'll certainly be coming back around whenever I'm back in the area.”
“The service, food and atmosphere were top-notch. The server was on top of things and he deserved a 20 percent tip and he was on toes with everyone there. The restaurant was clean and fresh.”
“As i wandered the barren streets of san diego, the lifeless streets surprised me, a place that was depicted to all as lively and well, desolate of food. I and my friends trekked for miles, and finally saw a glowing aura around this tiny shop. In we went, and were encapsulated by its amazing prices in an inflated economy, and its versatile menu. We thought “its too good to be true, isnt it?”. We ordered, spending less than at any fast food restaurant, and got our food within 4 minutes. This place is so sick.”
“I had the best 2 meals of my trip at Thanh Tinh Chay! I got diagnosed with celiac disease 3 years ago and haven’t had great Vietnamese food since, but this place is incredible. Every single thing is vegan and gluten free, but you would never know because it is all so flavorful and delicious. As I was eating the Banh Mi sandwich I couldn’t believe the bread was gluten free, but our lovely server confirmed that it was a homemade recipe that took over 2 years to perfect. Many other items are made from scratch in house as well! The customer service is phenomenal as well, everyone is so kind and we were treated to complimentary desserts which were to die for! Especially the creme brûlée! I wish I lived in San Diego so I could eat here weekly, but I’ll be back every time I visit!”

“Absolutely delicious coffee and not overly sweet. So grateful that they had a vegan option for the classic Saigon Coffee as well. The line was long but the employees worked through it very quickly and were happy to answer any questions. Can't wait to come back!”
“Speakeasy is no longer for cocktails. Ice cream has come into the picture and I'm here for it. The flavors change monthly. The employees are so nice they allow you to sample each flavor. They have dairy free options. You can get it on a cone, cup, or even pints to go. I love coming to north park to eat and then stopping here for a lil dessert.”
“The first time here was a lunch suggested by a friend who picked the spot. I gad a pita sandwich and a soft drink, the cost was about 17 dollars. It was very good and filling. I will definitely be back.”
“This was the best restaurant experience I have ever had. The waiters were very friendly and attentive. Our order arrived on time, and most importantly, the dishes were delicious. I visited the place with my wife, and she was very pleased. As they say, a happy wife equals a happy life.”
“I love Poma's!! Always fresh and flavorful, the Roast Beef Grinder with Au jus on the side is fantastic!! Eggplant Parm Grinder as well as the Italian.. can't go wrong. Their full dinners and garlic bread are perfect to share. Great prices for quality food.”
“This place is awesome! The whole menu is great! I had the Japanese curry, fried chicken and rice bowl. It was amazing! The kind of food that makes you want to rush home and eat!You can order online before you arrive, or order at the place…if you have any questions about the menu, they willing to explain anything and even make suggestions. If you ever visit the Pacific Beach area, definitely stop here for food!Vegetarian options: My wife is a vegan….and she found a bowl that she absolutely loves!”
“Bun Cha Ha Noi was solid, Cha Ca La Vong was good, Com Chay Thit Bo was excellent, Goi Xoai Tom was ok (the dressing was a bit too sweet). Service was decent and friendly.”
“Wow - I've never had a dining experience quite like this!! Went out to celebrate me and my siblings birthdays.First off, this was the best service I've ever experienced in a restaurant, thanks to all the staff there but particularly our server, Megan. She was utterly delightful! She answered all our questions about dishes and was spot on with her descriptions. The carrot cake she recommended was truly delicious!! She was attentive and detail-oriented in the best way. They brought us hand-written birthday cards and a three very large and yummy macarons with candles on the house! The food was absolutely fantastic. Especially the hash browns, mac n cheese, and the lamb. The espresso martini is the best I've ever had, it didn't taste like alcohol which was perfect :PThe design inside and on the rooftop is immaculate, really a beautifully designed space. We were there for three hours, didn't feel rushed, and truly got to soak in the evening European-style with multiple courses and a beautiful sunset. Will definitely be back for a special occasion :)”
“This place is sooo good! They have great ice cream flavors and topping to go inside of your fish shaped waffle cone!! So delicious!! My go to is Cookies and Cream soft serve with Oreo dust!Very Instagramable!Kid-friendliness: Kids will love it here! They will love the taste and look!Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp available!”
“Arrived at 12:45 on Sunday, 4/14. Waited 30 minutes to order, then waited another 30 minutes for the food. So if you're in a time crunch, consider this before going. That said, the staff was working hard and was friendly. And the smoked fish tacos were delicious. I look forward to eating here again.Parking: Parking near the shop is difficult as the restaurant is near the beach and alongside several other shops. You may have to park a few blocks away.”

“Omg finally hereNow come to the United States to eat Haidilao for the first time in your lifeUse two of the poor people's four squares to join the water method to reduce costsI ordered mutton, beef, fish, fried dough sticks, bell rolls, chrysanthemum, lotus root and shrimp paste. But I was so excited that I ordered the sesame soup base.No one touched the spicy soup base until the end of the meal. It was all in the tomato soup base. And it's strange. There seems to be a gap in the middle of the four-compartment soup pot, and the soup will leak to the clear soup.Same Haidilao, same people serving at the tableBut missing some manicures, massage chairs and other unexpected servicesIf you could see a face-changing show in Haidilao in the United States, I believe Americans’ jaws would drop ”
“They have very unique and delicious ice cream flavors. Tried a few and liked all of them. Ended up buying a split scoop with sticky mango rice and brown butter pecan. The sticky mango rice ice cream was even better than sticky mango rice.”
“While doing laundry at one of the laundromats in PB the night before last, I happened upon this darling little restaurant/bar. My intention was to use the restroom, but to also get a drink so I didn't look like some vagrant. But, boy--am I glad I did!My delightful server, Caitlyn, turned me on to a cocktail called Fall Right on Thyme after I had explained I just had a vodka mule and didn't want to mix alcohol too early. The drink was great! So great that I had two. I also ordered a charceuterie (sp?) board that was absolutely phenomenal. The vibe and ambience in the restaurant was low-key, but warm. On the Wednesday night that I went--it was terrific because there weren't a bunch of rowdy twenty-somethings harshing my mellow. I will definitely go back here!”
“I went here cause of the large number of 5-star reviews on google maps this place has. I wasn’t disappointed. Very efficient service. Loved the ambience of the place. The breakfast croissant sandwich is a unique offering in the area and honestly it was so good.”
“The menu isnt extensive but has classic pasta and starter dishes. We started with the classica bruscetta and buschetta prosciutto & fichi, and the classica bruschetta was my favorite. The freshness of the tomatoes and flavor of the pesto was impeccable. We tried the cheese wheel pasta that comes with special pasta of the day (gnocchi with mushrooms and truffle) tossed in a cheese wheel and served in a pan. It was on the heavier, creamier and cheesier side and i would recommend it for those who are looking for a ooey gooey dish of pasta. Our server recommended the stuffed lobster and shrimp tortelli pasta. The sauce is creamy (but not as creamy as the cheese wheel pasta) and is made with tomatoes. The dish is topped with a big ball of burrata. We tried the espresso martini and cosmopolitan. The espresso martini had more of a strong coffee than bold liquor flavor, but the cosmopolitan was a little sweet and boozy. Overall, it was a solid meal and be prepared for a food coma afterwards. The interior is beautiful with wine bottles, paintings and pictures hanging on the wall. Street parking is the way to go. Our server was friendly, and the portions are generous for its price point.”
Drive-Thru Restaurants
“Love the atmosphere. Old school burger joint feeling.Prices are great for California.Burger, fries and shake for about half the price of typical restaurants I went to on this trip.”
“Such a relaxed and comfortable environment to dine on propper thai dishes. Green Curry was excellent as was the thai iced tea! Definitely wish this place was in my neighborhood.”
“I've been here about a dozen times and it's always been a great experience. I'm not even vegan. I come here because the food is always fresh and stable, no surprises. Their have cane sugar sodas which I really value. So far I've tried one of everything and while I'm not a fan of imitation meat, I really can't tell the difference here. A chicken sandwich tastes like a chicken sandwich. Fast friendly service, no mistakes or issues. Honestly that's the thing that sets them apart from everyone else.”
“DELICIOUS!! If you want Authentic and amazing food in a relaxing setting ( we sat outdoors with our dog ) this is the place.Service was impeccable and the bathrooms were super clean!”
“We threw a surpise birthday party for my husband here at Thorn Brewing. Morgan at Thorn helped me reserve half the venue for the party, we were able to bring in our own food/cake and with about 15 adults we hit the minimum for a beer tab during the 4 hrs we were there. I would recommend this place for a small party/get together. Good beer and great service!”
“A really great little coffee stand! The weekday mornings may have a little wait, but they really know what they're doing and will churn through the line in short order. Lots of wonderful menu options and a regularly changing seasonal options.”
“They went and above when it came to making sure my meal was perfect. I have a 13 year old that has always wanted to try in and out and she will be able to due to their customer service they made sure to prepare it for a flight to Virginia where it was staffed and proved to being amazing”
“ Strawberry matcha (seasonal) 5/5 (top 2 I've had in SD) Lavender London fog (hot) 4.5/5 Ursula's Revenge lemonade 4/5 - at first tasted a little weak but magically had a lot of flavor later Mermaid toast 3/5 - pretty but was more or less cream cheese on sourdough with sprinkles. My daughter loved it, though? Fruit cup 2/5 - about half banana with strawberries and blueberries. Meh, will skip next time.I couldn't really taste the matcha or early grey in the drinks so it was kind of like really good strawberry milk and lavender milk. I had no problem with this and will happily come back and get them both again but others may not.”
“Very ample and comfortable seating, ambulances nice especially early in the morning. Service is phenomenal, attention to detail with out having to ask is always a nice touch. Best cheese danish it hit the spot and the coffee is extremely good . This is definitely a place for dog enthusiast the fact that it's backed up against the dog park and you can get your cup of coffee as your dog is running around is always a nice thing .”
“We’ve been looking for street tacos near our neighborhood…and we are glad to have stumbled upon this gem! We ordered al pastor and carne asada tacos..the tacos are larger than street tacos with all of the toppings you need (see attached picture)…PLUS AMAZING PRICING. I also noticed that their menu has a wide spectrum and we are definitely going to make this our usual spot now. We also really appreciated the quality of the food AND service.”
“When I go to the USA I can't pass up the opportunity to go there and eat those delicious burgers, the delicious potatoes, and my favorite drink, lemonade, can't be missed. ????????”
“Amazing service me and my boyfriend wanted to grab a quick bite and we tried pollo loco for the first time and the service was great we got our food in less than 2 minutes the customer service was great the one that helped us out her name was Ericka and she was very friendly and very fast”
“It was good. I've had much better korean fried chicken, but the selection of drinks and the options at Cross Street are definitely great. It seems like a dope spot to go to and hang with friends while eating and ”
“Very fast service. Food to the table within 10 minutes. Staff was friendly and very accomidating. The food was delicious, and portion to price ratio was awesome. Dessert was included with our meal priceYum! ??”
“Was craving some seafood while in San Diego so we did the Google thing and ended up at King Crab. Everything in our order was fresh and delicious down to the last bite¡¡¡ The sauce used here is on another level, it really did compliment the seafood boil¡¡¡¡ Even the breaded Lemon pepper chicken wings were nothing shot of phenomenal....??????”

Fine Dining
“I spent my 21st birthday here and I couldn't be happier with my experience! The amount of care and time it took the chefs to prepare our food in front of us was a work of art. My boyfriend and I love Azuki and it's our favorite sushi place in San Diego, so he was so sweet to book a reservation here to surprise me on my birthday. If you didn't know, Kinme is an extension of Azuki and it specializes in Omakase. If you're a fan of Azuki, or if you just love sushi in general, you need to try this place!! We had so much fun and experienced new fish that we have never tried and we were so so full afterwards. My favorites were the wagyu tartar puff pastry and the braised wagyu. The scallop with uni on top also blew me away. The nigiri was outstanding. Every bite had me closing my eyes and I really just didn't want the sushi to stop coming. The service was amazing and everyone was so attentive. I ordered a hot tea and immediately after I finished my pot I was asked if I wanted more hot water. The chefs were very friendly and asked us repeatedly if we enjoyed the previous dish (which we always nodded excitedly). Right when you come in the ambiance is very relaxing and there's more than enough space between you and the people next to you. At the end, they gave us a physical menu of all the dishes they served us, which I thought was a very thoughtful touch and a cute souvenir to remember my 21st birthday dinner. (pictures and menu was from 2/28, which is a towards the end of their winter menu. Their spring menu might be a little different!)”
“I've been meaning to write this review but I keep forgetting. This was my first 3 star Michelin dining experience and I just want to say the service was absolutely impeccable. I was impressed from start to finish with the service. The restaurant can be quite drafty so I recommend dressing warm, but I think the server could tell I was a little cold so he brought heated pillows for me and switched it out throughout the entire dinner. It's the little extra touches that really elevates the dining experience for me. Onto the food though, we enjoyed majority of the dishes, there were a few misses but I thoroughly enjoyed mostly everything. Is it worth the price tag? I definitely think so. I can also see why it was awarded 3 stars. The wagyu dish was my favorite extra dish, I was not a fan of the extra truffle dish and that was probably my least favorite of the evening. Also just to note if you're dining at the late dinner service the street is quite dark and parking can be a tad confusing. When we walked up to the restaurant we weren't quite sure if we were at the right spot. But once you enter and see the hostess they'll guide you to the bar.”
“This place is one of my favorites for Birthday lunch or dinners. I also like it for an intimate and classy Thanksgiving meal. Service is pleasant and they do a good job for the most part. The views can't be beat. Love coming here!”
“I have purchased cakes at this fabulous bakery several times. Most recently, I purchased a half sheet cake for a good friend’s 70th birthday party. The caramel macadamia nut cake is unusual and fabulous. The whipped cream frosting is amazing. The cakes are simply beautiful. The cake I purchased was covered in orchids. It was a huge hit at the birthday party, including with the birthday girl. The service here is terrific and Janice will help you with any special requests. This is my go-to cake place.”
“This place is amazing! I got the scallops and they were some of the best I’ve ever had. The live band was also surprisingly great. They rewrote a Tom Perry song and made the lyrics about San Diego. Make this your perfect date night spot.”
“Amazing experience at Ken's, everything was delicious, and the service and company were unmatched. Thank you!Edit: And the dessert was equally wonderful!- from a friend of Samuel”
“The host ran half a block to give us our forgotten leftovers! Awesome birthday experience. The steak included mashed potatoes and green beans which most places do not include.”
“Beautiful restaurant. Interior booths need an update due to becoming discolored. The tables by the window give a great ambiance. The crab cakes were delicious and seasoned well. The Augratin potatoes were amazing. First time ever eating Brussel sprouts, and they changed my life. I actually want to eat them now. lol ? Overall great experience. The service is great, from the greeter to the waiter to the kitchen. Would return.”
“I had to arrange a dinner for a large group, which went flawlessly with the excellent service from Christy (assisted with arranging a menu) and Enrico our server. They went above and beyond and made sure that everything went smoothly. The food was outstanding and the views simply gorgeous. The portions of food were also very large! What a wonderful restaurant with employees that are highly competent, courteous, and customer focused. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough!”
“Everyone was so courteous and helpful. It was my Mom's 86th birthday and everyone treated her royally. I've always loved this restaurant. The food is excellent and the surroundings just perfect!”
“A delicious omakase in San Diego! Shoutout to our cousin for taking us here!We had a reservation at 7:30PM for a Saturday evening meal. I believe we were sat on time and we got right into drinks and the course. Staff was friendly checking in on us and Chef TJ was fun, positive, and created a great omakase environment!I won't go into too much detail of each fish (as the menu can change with each service), but for the value, I thought it was an amazing meal!Parking is relatively easy to find in the plaza.I'm headed back to San Diego next week...so I'm going to have Matoi again :D twice in 2-3 weeks is my kind of vibe!”
“Just finished having a wonderful lunch with our group and Mari + the staff went above and beyond to make our experience at JRDN one for the books! Loved that our table was indoor/outdoor. What a beautiful day! She offered to take a picture of our group and always made sure we had everything we needed. Super grateful she was our server. Food was phenomenal as usual. I had the Cali Roll and Calamari *chef's kiss* We will be back soon!”
“Amazing venue! Really enjoyed it!! I was these over the weekend and Paul and Terry had amazing bar tricks. I am still thinking about their tricks. Bartender Randy made amazing drinks too!! Fun ”
“Walking in, was greeted pleasantly with the most amazing decor, perfect for a fancy steakhouse. The bar was glistening with gold flakes and looked like it was 100 ft long! Drinks were original and delicious but it wasn’t until I had the steak… never had a steak melt in my mouth as I ate it. The owner was walking around, greeting all the guests. In all, 5 stars all around! Thank you guys for the experience!”
“I love dining at STK especially during happy hour! Nick is one of the most phenomenal bartenders ever, entertaining and a total superstar, always makes everything a great time. Then there is Scott, GM who is attentive, welcoming and makes sure you have the best experience. I love this place! Gives off sexy vibes, great for intimate dining, big parties or celebrations.”

“Went here with coworkers to celebrate by birthday and it was DELISH! SO much to choose from- not just broths, but veggies, noodles, meats. We were so stuffed by the end we didn't even have room for the show bar! Will def be coming back next opportunity we get. Yum!”

Cheap Eats
“I had the rice beans and tamale for breakfast and it was delicious!!!!! Some really tasty down home cooked Mexican food…… I highly recommend it when you are in the Logan area”
“Food was nothing short of incredible. Tried the Super Beef and a Buffalo Tender Sub. The beef was super tender, sliced very thin, and piled high. The sauce was reminiscent of a bbq sauce but much lighter with a thinner consistency. Sauce was tangy and slightly sweet and works perfect with the flavor of the beef. The tenders were perfect and stayed crispy even when tossed in buffalo. Portions of both were large and absolutely worth the price. Try the tortellini salad! Customer service was great as well!”
“Really nice little shop in historic Old Town. I loved the Cubanito and the Americano. It has a light, relaxed atmosphere and the staff is very efficient and friendly.”
“I've been going to Mariscos MI Gusto Es for over 10 years! Everything on their menu is Delicious. My personal favorites are the tacos de Gobenandor, Marlin Tacos and their Cockteles de Campechana..It's family owned and operated❤️Arturo and his wife are super friendly and always greet you with a smile?”
“It's like having breakfast at your grandpa's house. Lucky interacts with you as if you were family, and he takes and cooks the order for you. The food tastes great and the prices are low, so make sure you tip him well!”
“La Central Birria has excellent service, food and reasonable prices. The birria tacos and consome were very tasty. The quesadilla was served on a house made tortilla. Miguel was so friendly and made it a great first-timer experience. I will definitely be back.”
“Excellent Carne Asada Burrito. Meat flavored just right and the add cheese was just perfect. Now and I can see why they have won all those awards on their burrito! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!”
“Still dreaming of that vegan Churro Ice Cream cone… Wonderful and large selection of ice creams, many dairy-free choices, plus super kind staff (though they were working solo- so things were moving slow). The patio made for a nice sunny rest spot to enjoy our treats. Great kid-friendly spot.”
“We had a craving for REAL street tacos, specifically quesabirria and we were not disappointed! We ordered: chicarron, shrimp and asada Street tacos (all very delicious) and a couple quesabirriaThe place was super clean, and the patio area outside was super cute. Staff was very friendlyWe will definitely be back when we are in town! A short bike ride from the beach. We are so happy we found authentic tacos!!”
“FAV BREAKFAST in san diego this far!!! I got an Aperol spritz & my boyfriend got a mango mimosa. I love the grilled cheese and the breakfast burrito was amazing it comes with salsa too.”
“Great service. Addicting bowls. They’re always plated beautifully and the employees are patient and friendly. Love this place!Vegetarian options: Lots of choicesParking: Huge lot”
“Coffeesnob here checking in! Divo Diva is 5/5 across the board. Steps above the rest. Whether you bring a date or treat yo’ self, this is a great space. Also… FOAM ART!!!!”
“The Lavasanipour’s weren’t looking for a new favorite pizza place but….. If you happen to be, know that Mike’s will definitely impress. As soon as you walk in, welcomed with a warm greeting as if you were family arriving. Can’t say enough good things about this place! Big, HUGE shoutout to Massachusetts Mike’s team. What a fantastic touch to San Diego’s cuisine.”
“We visited False Idol for the first time on a Thursday at 10pm. We ran behind that evening and had to cancel our 9:15pm reservation with short notice. Despite this, we were greeted very warmly by the hosts and offered standing room. The ambiance inside is so fun. We were only standing for a minute or two before Elle(so?) made us feel at home, recommending delicious cocktails to try and took our order. The drinks came quickly. The Mac But Chi Chi was the hands down best drink ever. Period. I was so happy for that suggestion! The other drinks were delicious too and we were even escorted to a table that had opened up. It was the best way to end our evening and I can't wait to visit again! Thank you, False Idol, for such a lovely night!”
“Our party of 4 went on a Thursday night and we were seated right away. There were seats at the bar and 2-4 person high and low tables. Because it’s in Hillcrest, we had a rough time looking for street parking- ended up finding a spot a couple blocks down.We ordered from the Specialty Tacos list: Steak and Bones, Bad to the Bone, and El Presidente. The tacos were surprisingly large!*Steak and Bones: full sized grilled rib eye tender steak slabbed on a corn tortilla— definitely can’t eat it like a normal taco*Bad to the Bone: fall-off-the-bone beef rib on a corn tortilla*El Presidente: 3 large pieces of garlic shrimp on a corn tortilla— so good!We also ordered the *Steak and Bone Fries and the *Steak and Bone Nachos. These 2 were just okay for us. The nachos were crunchy but these were smaller portions served on big plates which made it look underwhelming. Our server was attentive and service was pretty quick, considering how large the meats were.I’d come back for their Specialty tacos!Parking: Paid street parking only (free after a certain time). Difficult to find a spot especially during night time.”

“Glad I stopped by I had the best brunch I've ever had. Chef here put together an exceptional menu. Everyone came out perfect and tasty. Big shoutout to Sergio our waiter see you again soon!”
“One of my favorite restaurants in SD. Not only are they fair with their wine pricing, but they also have amazing wines! The food is always fresh with great ingredient quality. The staff is extremely professional and the ambiance is always perfect whether you want to sit inside or out. The squash blossoms are one of my favorite dishes and we try to return to the restaurant on a semi regular basis. It is a San Diego staple that I highly recommend.”

“Honest question. Has the baklavas changed? I remember it different when it was cut into 1/3s compared to the 2 pieces per serving. It was more chewy. I could be wrong. But have you changed anything?”
“AMAZING! One of the most enjoyable and fun dining experiences I've had in a while. The food is superb and staff is top notch - so friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had a great time!”
“The food is delicious. The service is very good. The only thing I found they can improve on is the seating. The chairs are hard and uncomfortable. But the food and and service more than make up for the seating.”
“Excellent hot pot, with great selection with the AYCE option. The staff are wonderful as usual, always friendly and helpful! I would recommend the new Sichuan soup base if you like spicy and the red peppercorns (Ma La)! Thank you for telling me about it, and then swapping out my soup so we could try it! ❤️100/10 ??”
“The food at here was exceptional! The service was top-notch, attentive without being intrusive. The cozy atmosphere made for a memorable dining experience. Can't wait to go back! Ask for Phil”

MOTHERSHIP
“atmosphere needs a 10 star option because this is truly one of the best spots in SD for a great theme.the drinks are a bit pricey $15-19 but worth the ambiance of the bar. The food is also high quality. mostly appetizers and finger food but presented and taste amazing. Great date night spot.”
“Best whiskey sour I have ever had, hands down, even better than these specialty cocktail bars. And I didnt even get to the food yet. The crispy duck thighs were out of this world with a delicious, but not overpowering, mustard sauce. And the chocolate cake?! Omg....still thinking about that. Service was excellent, and the interior is just delightful. It is almost like you are in France in someone's home. Fantastic restaurant.”
“George (the owner) and his staff were incredibly hospitable and source food consciously. The baba ghanoush and falafel were INCREDIBLE, even by comparison to dishes I've had while travelling in the middle east. Highly recommend to anyone visiting San Diego! Well worth the drive from down town (better quality, better price). Bonus for LOTS of vegetarian and vegan options.”
“Tavola Nostra Pizzeria e Cucina is a wonderful Italian restaurant with a focus on wood fired pizza. The menu features two different pizza styles with a combination of classic and modern toppings. You can even sit at the bar and watch the chefs bake each pizza in their wood fire oven.Aside from pizza you’ll find authentic pasta dishes, meatballs, fresh large-portioned salads, and some of the best calamari around (non-greasy nor over fried). And the wine selection includes wines from both Italy and California.”

Sushi Ota
“You might miss this gem of a sushi spot hidden in the corner of this shopping venue. Parking is limited in the lot. Great sushi!!!Parking: Limited parking in the lot, may need to park offsite.”
“We just stopped by for a beer and Hailey was super helpful with the selection they had! Gave us a round and made us feel like it was our own neighborhood bar. Hard to find these days. Definitely coming back for the service and the slow braised brisket chili!”
“Went on a Saturday without a reservation was able to get seating pretty quick. The restaurant is in a peaceful location and the atmosphere is lively. They have a really vast menu so we took our server's recommendations, they were on point. Everything dish came together in adequate time and was hot. Everything tasted really good, the flavor was subtle and there wasn't any feeling of greasiness overpowering. I would recommended the neapolitan style pizzas.”
“This place is amazing! I got the scallops and they were some of the best I’ve ever had. The live band was also surprisingly great. They rewrote a Tom Perry song and made the lyrics about San Diego. Make this your perfect date night spot.”

Bun & Patti
“A great happy hour spot!! The deals, the service, the food and drinks all were 10/10. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a happy hour in the area thats perfect for a couple or a close friend or two.”

Rare Society
“Rare Society is one of the best restaurants for our Christmas Eve dinner. The rib eye was so tender, even when asked for well done. Mine was a bit too charred on the outside, however. The rolls were delicious, hot, and melted in your mouth. The ceasar salad was the best I had with so much cheese! The service was wonderful and attentive. Worth a visit for that special occasion.”
“Had an amazing time at Harmony. We sat at the bar and had the omakaze menu. The quality of the fish was incredible and the staff was so friendly and helpful. Chef Mickey does a wonderful job pairing flavors that have you happy to the last bite. Highly recommend; this place is a gem!”

The food is top-notch, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the service is friendly. I can't wait to go back and try more of their delicious offerings.”
“Just got off a long day of work and wanted a relaxing salad and a beer. I went to The Shop Pizza and got there Chopped salad (chopped chopped baby gems, roasted chicken, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, bacon, candied pecans, goat cheese, house-made ranch.) with a beer. Even though I had this one once before (early summer when they first opened), I had to try it for the second time. This time it was even better!! They have it completely dailed in. Chef Jason working his magic behind the counter made this huge salad that can probably be easily split with a friend. I wanted to take half of it home but I ended up eating it all. Everything is hand made right in front of your eyes. So super fresh an delicious!!Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“I am Lebanese-American and have dined at dozens of middle eastern & Lebanese restaurants locally. Without question, I would say this is the best on all metrics. If your reading this, you must not question, and go taste, see and experience for yourself.”
“Fantastic experience at this hot pot restaurant! Warm atmosphere, friendly staff, and the hot pot was just amazing - rich, flavorful broth with a great selection of fresh ingredients. Highly recommend for an authentic and satisfying meal. Can't wait to return!”
“Probably my new fave Cafe in DT SD. The staff are so kind and personable. The Pastries are out of this world delicious. We tried their tiramisu, rose and prep macaron, and lemon cake?I forgot what they're called, but it was soooo good.I also really love their signature orange latte!!!The space itself from the outside looks small but it is bigger inside, the decor gives off very monochromatic, calming vibe I will def be coming back!!!Edit: I went back the 2nd time to try the basque cheesecake and omg it was so decadent, light and fluffy. I couldn't stop eating it. All of the desserts I've tried so far has HIT. And yes, I got the orange blossom latte again, decaf with oatmilk - it was 7pm when I went”

“I love trying out new brunch places and this one did not disappoint! Located in North Park— street parking only so just account time for that. Our party of 5 didn’t have a reservation and we expected to wait a bit. Luckily though we only waited about 10-15 minutes at 11am on a Saturday! The place itself is very cute, decorated with bright wood panelling and a large purple art piece by the check in booth. There was a decent amount of 2-4 person tables inside and on the patio. It looked like tables can be pushed together for parties of 6, maybe 8.Our server was attentive, helpful, and very friendly! It took us a bit to decide what to order since all of them sounded appetizing. Food came out fairly quickly despite the busy Saturday rush.Food:-Ube Cold Foam Matcha ($7.50): aesthetically pleasing and tasted so good! It wasn’t too sweet either and that’s without making any modifications to it.-The GOAT Sandwich ($16.50): I subbed with turkey instead of ham and it was delicious! Served with large pieces of potatoes-Waffle Churro Sticks ($16): shared with the table. Four “strips” of waffles served with a small bowl of fruit, jalapeño-blackberry sauce, and maple cream cheese for toppings. Go get this! The rest of our party ordered the Madi Wrap ($17), Oklahoma Onion Smash Burger ($18), and Chilaquiles Verdes ($17). They also ordered the Banana Bread Latte ($6.50) and Brown Butter Latte ($6.50) Everyone was satisfied and enjoyed their food.I’d love to come back and try out other food and the Tiramisu Espresso Martini!”
“I’ve frequented plenty of breweries on the west coast, and I have a handful of favorites but East Village is another level. I literally have not have a bad beer from them, and that’s especially impressive since they typically drop a new beer a week. The owners are great, always happy to geek out with you. The staff is friendly and attentive, makes it feel like your hanging at a friends house. I just cannot speak highly enough of this place. An absolute gem among the already incredible SD brewing scene.”

“This was super yummy. I've never had the skillets here, but the flower paper dishes are delicious. Having them in little Saigon in Orange County, this is the best spot that is close to that caliber here in San Diego. I definitely recommend.”
“Carne asada taco, sope, and shrimp roll taco plus a modelo michelada. Yes please! The flavors of meat and sauces plus the corn was so tasty. Local SD review…Flor’s is an old town Mexican favorite now. A lot of restaurants are here in Old Town just because town needs Mexican food for tourists, but this is honestly top tacos in San Diego. My daughter even commented “these tacos taste like the ones in Mexico!”The atmosphere and seating were comfortable and family friendly. Beer cups available with homemade chamoy and tajin. Recommend it!”
“Very nice restaurant with a great view of La Jolla sunset! Open air with inside and outside dining. Large drink menu, Coastal Italian cuisine. Bartenders are the best. Servers are very friendly and attentive, Casual dress, I will be back!”
“Blue Water Seafood Market & Grill truly stands out as a must-visit destination for seafood lovers. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the poke. Not only was the poke itself exceptionally flavorful and fresh, but the accompanying coconut rice was a revelation. This combination elevated the dish from merely great to extraordinary, showcasing a masterful balance of textures and flavors that left a lasting impression.Equally impressive were the fish tacos. Each bite was a delightful mix of perfectly cooked fish, fresh toppings, and sauces that complemented without overwhelming the natural flavors of the seafood. It's clear that Blue Water Seafood Market & Grill takes pride in their ingredients and preparation, delivering dishes that resonate with authenticity and culinary craftsmanship.”

Baja Betty's
“Baja Bettys had some great options for their happy hour. I ordered 2 sets of tacos one being fish the other chicken. The food came out super fast and was a great value. The fish tacos were very fresh and tasty!”
“Arriving late at night, I only had the opportunity for desert and drinks here. BUT, both of which were excellent! Great service as well, everyone was cheery and attentive, I will definitely c9me back for dinner.”
“Great little tucked away place with good food for the price. Service from Alejandro was great. Took the time to chat and fill our drinks.Brisket was good and all the sides were good. Try the mashed potatoes. The Turkey was good and had a smokey taste. Will come again.”
“This is probably my favorite restaurant in San Diego. I love Thai food and have never had any this good! Definitely worth the price. My favorites are the Hat Yai Fried Chicken and the Grilled Angus New York Steak (over beef tallow fried rice). The ambiance is great, though it gets busy on weekends (so you probably want a reservation).”
“The food and atmosphere were great. I went there for a business meeting, and everyone came away happy with their food. we shared the jalapeño and cilantro hummus and the tzatziki sauce with pita bread as an appetizer. I had lamb Shawarma and really enjoyed it.I would definitely go back in the future to take my wife for dinner.”
“I recommend the katsu curry over the katsu-don, which is mainly just a rice dish with dashi and katsu loin. The katsu curry is a little salty in my opinion even when I eat it with rice. I also recommend eating the food as soon as it comes out because it doesn’t taste that delicious when it gets cold. I think this is why the first time I got the katsu curry it tasted better than the second time.”

Operacaffe
“Excellent food, service, atmosphere and wine. The Compton family Pinot Noir is very good. Their gluten free pasta was perfect and can be substituted with most pastas. But what impressed me the most was if it felt like I was being served by family. Like people who made the food and really cared about it. It was a great vibe, definitely will be back.”
“We stopped here for some after dinner drinks. What a great decision! We really enjoyed the ciders and the seltzers. Excited to try some of the best next time we come. There was trivia the night we were there and there are patio heaters to keep you warm in the evening. Would recommend for tourists and locals!”
“Great service and amazing beer! We got a chance to taste their traditional beers as well as some of their experimental beers. The staff gave us an in depth description of the ideas behind their experimental beers and made for a great night out! Will come again and I highly recommend this spot. An up and coming gem in SD.”
“Fantastic BBQ. The best I've had outside of Texas. There's a line and they sell out so get there early. On a Saturday, we showed up at about 540 and by the time we got to order they had run out of the pork spare ribs.We did get just about everything else and it was fantastic. The sauces were great too. Also don't forget the sides! We got the potato salad and had to go back and get more because it was so good. We will definitely be going back again!”
“Scallop Plate delicious and lemonade. Refreshing . Enjoyed tasty scallop plate. Juicy light batter. Bland coleslaw which does not over power the succulent scallops. Good amount of fries. Atmosphere seems like popular local spot. Good wait time, clean and organized. I would recommend and return.”
“For those who enjoy cooking at home, Assenti's delivers high quality pasta. So far, I've tried the black squid linguini and spaghetti. The pasta is fresh and soft with a delicious flavor. From their freezer, I've eaten their eggplant parmesan. I just purchased their frozen lobster ravioli and am looking forward to trying it. I know I won't be disappointed. Service was always quick and friendly on two separate visits. The store isn't large, but it's spacious, clean, bright and well organized.”
“Loved this place! Cozy vibe inside. Super good food, amazing drinks that are well presented and delicious. Will definitely be coming back I absolutely loved it!”
“The host ran half a block to give us our forgotten leftovers! Awesome birthday experience. The steak included mashed potatoes and green beans which most places do not include.”
“Must try spot before you die. Kidding but seriously, the ravioli any type is my fav however genuinely never had anything but delicious meal wise here. Superb staff and always homey vibes. Wine selection is exquisite as well. Tiramisu is must too.Parking: It's Hillcrest plan on going at odd times on weekend for parking or circling a bit. I just Uber overall. Parking has been cut down in neighborhood significantly.”
“Good service is hard to find and excellent service is impossible, however the staff at Tabu Shabu delivered excellent service this evening. We were a group of 3. It was 20 min to closing and they welcomed us with a smile. The food was excellent. The flavors were on point. This was a 10 star out of 5. Great service is a lost art. This place is a gem. The staff understands the importance of creating a memorable dining experience.”

Seasons 52
“Seasons 52 always goes above and beyond! We have never had a bad meal here! Our waitress was super helpful and knowledgeable about the menu! We loved the wine that she recommended so much that we ended up buying a bottle to take home with us! The lamb was incredible as well as the Filet & Lobster!”

Piacere Mio
“Took my husband here for his bday. There was a total of 4 people in my party & everyone loved their food. I deducted a star for atmosphere because we happened to get a table right by the bar entrance & people were whizzing behind us with plates & it seemed like at any moment someone was gonna get smacked in the back of the head with a plate. But other than that it was a great night.”
“Very small place to get there early if you have a small group of 6 or more. Beer is ok from a ale drinkers perspective. We had the collaboration IPA they made with Burgeon brewery and that was by far the best they had on tap. Food was good but the pickled jalapeno poppers were a let down. To be fair it's hard to find fresh jalapeno poppers in this area. Most everyone uses frozen, pickled and breaded jalapeno poppers. Sad. Vib hear is quaint and mellow with an industrial look.”

“I walked in around 12:30pm on Sunday. I was seated in about 5 minutes. There's a bell that you can ring to get the server's attention. They responded very quickly. I ordered gukbap and it was very flavorful and rich. Surprisingly, banchan was also very good. Often times Korean restaurants make their banchan too sweet or too bland. But here all the food was very satisfying. I am very picky about Korean food, but I highly recommend this place. Staff were nice and food came out relatively fast.”
“I had a croissant, some French Toast, and a latte here. I really liked the French Toast! It was covered with pine nuts, and was drenched in syrup (which I was kinda surprised by, since I thought the pine not coating was going to prevent the today from soaking up the syrup). The nuts added some nice texture, and the syrup was a good amount of sweet. It was kinda hard to cut into, so I just kind of had to bite into the toast slices (maybe that's intended, though). The croissant and the latte were decent; nothing too eye opening for them but they I liked them a decent amount (I think the croissant is maybe good, with something else that is more savory than what I got). Overall, I liked what I got, and am happy to go again!”
“10/10. Forgot it was fire roasted chicken so I almost burned my tongue ? it was so worth going here for dinner. ? spent just under $25. Plenty of leftovers for breakfast if you save your leftovers like I do. ? does not disappoint. The wait is not a problem but I can see why some with no time may not like that but this is not fast food. So be prepared to also sit tight (about average - 10min or so while I found street parking and walked back). I promise you it’s worth it. :) This was so worth the quality of the food it just melts in your mouth. I could not finish all of it. Had to take it home. ? ? the atmosphere is so beautiful… plenty of outdoor seating. Indoor is for order placing and order pickup as well as their fire roasted oven and kitchen. It’s so good. ?Parking: Parking ?️ on the street. Plan to walk.”
“The food was excellent. The service stood out as amazing. Six out of five stars. I asked for a sample of the Molé Poblano to taste, and they brought me all four. This is above and beyond and much appreciated. All four moles, by the way, were amazing. I had the Chile Relleno , and it did not disappoint. The margaritas were really good as well. The decor and ambience was cool. All of the walls are clear shelves with tequila bottles all over the place. Very cool.”
“Friendly service. They were quite busy and mistakenly poured the wrong beer. Suffice to say they did not charge and were extremely serviceable about it. Come drink here.”
“Found this gem from instagram & decided to visit after a cold day at the beach. We tried the kitakata ramen & tan tan ramen - they both have a unique broth. I usually prefer creamy ones like the tan tan, but the broth for kitakata was also good. Got seated right away even though it was during dinner and food was served right away. Will definitely come back & try their karaage.”

“Not our first time to RO52R, but every time we visit this place, it’s an experience! We were taken cared of by their Lead Bartender “Brian”, and boy does he know his craft! We’ve followed Brian over the years at his many stops throughout his career tending bar, and he’s definitely one of the best! Thankfully, we came at a time when before the crowd filled the speakeasy. We tried five drinks, several of their signature creations, and several off-menu creations made on the fly. Sampled two appetizers to help offset the alcohol, and both were outstanding. RO52R’s ambiance is one of the coolest speakeasies in town. For first timers, it’ll blow you away. We absolutely love, love, love coming here! For those who are avid speakeasy enthusiasts, so you’ve tried the rest, if you want the BEST, this is THE spot! Food, drinks, service, atmosphere, music, and overall experience… It’s hard to beat!Parking: Located in one of those strip malls where there’s more popular business with available parking to match the need for patrons of each business. During peak times, you’ll definitely need some luck on your side to find an available spot. It’s the ONLY negative about this place…”
“Wish sign was Liuyishou Hotpot vs Liuyishou San Diego, would have tried sooner haha. Have a decent baseline for hot pot and this place surprised me. Ayce can be rightfully expensive, but $35+$3 aycDrink was very reasonable for everything offered. Place has a lax, non-pretentious feel. Several solid soup bases to choose from (Mala/Mushroom for us), meat/seafood options were great along with dozens of other staples. Food service was fast and staff were all very friendly/helpful, no sign of "being annoyed" at your requests that I feel a lot of places don't manage or temper enough. Oh and they even cover dessert. Shoutout to the $3 drink add-on with fresh watermelon juice, herbal tea and passionfruit options. Definitely making it back here. Note: We went Monday early dinner service 5pm, so unsure how it is when really busy.”
“TL;DR amazing rustic decor with equally amazing new American-style food to match I came here on a weekday to hang out with some friends and was recommended by the attendant in their adjoining coworking space that the chicken sandwiches were the choice to make and it definitely didn't disappoint. Keeping it short and simple, I rarely ever crave new American cuisine since it's a hit or miss and some are good but most are mediocre with a price tag that isn't palatable, however, Bivouac was a clear exception The chicken sandwich was great, it was juicy and tender on the inside with a nice crispy exterior. The bun was lightly toasted inside and the cheese paired with the arugula and pickled onions were a blissful pair. The pickled onions cut through the fattiness and the arugula added a nice slightly bitter flavor contrast that I enjoyed Food aside, the decor was also well aligned with there themed location next door, the seating we had was a swing in a c-shape and moved all the c-shaped bench together which added a bit of thrill. It felt similar to a childhood experience and felt like one of those swings you'd have in your grandparent's yard or something similar Overall the setting and food were something I would come back to, if the interior was the only hallmark of this place I would likely not come back but the food from everyone I was with seemed to suit their taste buds well and equally fill everyone up”
“This is a nice spot to hang out with friends. Beer is pretty good. I like Mexican flavor they use for their drink mixes. They have some tasty michelada mixes and some cocktails as well. There's also a taco stand that's pretty good too. It is pretty strange that the lounge area is separated from the bar though. Your going to have to take a nice walk every time you want more drinks.”
“Got the spicy tonkotsu ramen and it didn't disappoint. Everything from a rich and flavorful broth to the perfect char and sear on the pork. Def gotta come back again and try more.”

“Classic San Diego indoor-outdoor set up where you can't tell if your table is in the dining room or the patio. They kept the feel of the old dealership which was neat! Vegetable dishes were so fun and satisfying, especially when you wipe the plate with the sourdough. Roasted carrots were an explosion of flavors, as was the caulilini. Oreo beignets were a little on the undercooked side but a fun option. Mezcal drinks were also great!”

“been staying in San Diego for work and this place has been my favorite place to eat since I got here, I usually get a spinach and feta calzone or any of the specialty pastas and the meal is always on point. I'm always leaving the place happy and ”
“Very nice place, and the food is really good. The staff are very nice. Prices are not exorbitant. Both the Point Loma location as well as downtown on Harbor Drive are good. Not touristy per se. Just a great Mexican place with good people and food.”
“I had a very pleasant experience at Rosina's last night! We had a group of 6 for my nephews birthday. Our waiter, Colin, was sweet and attentive. Parking is street and they do have a side lot. It was busy even on a Wednesday so we walked a little but not far at all. The bread is delicious with the dipping sauce. We started with the arancini which I recommend! They are slightly smaller than I'm used to, so get 2 orders if you have a bigger party. I had the fusilli aka vodka with chicken and gluten free pasta. The G Free pasta is better than what I usually make at home, which was a major plus! I really couldn't tell the difference. Everyone enjoyed their meals! A great experience! Oh, and Wednesday is half priced bottles of wine!”
“The perfect place to grab your morning bite and a little jumpstart for the day. The all new menu including smoothies and shakes was the best idea ever to already accompany the wonderful options for coffee and tea. Staff is super friendly, very attentive and they make the best chai tea latte I’ve had in a long time. If you need a run down of the menu, they can assist you in making the right choice, which probably isn’t easy because they have so many delicious items to choose from! I will be back to try one of the incredible looking breakfast burritos they have to offer. Thank you again Sea Ridge Coffee!!”
“THIS IS A GREAT PLACE! Without exaggeration, I've probably visited this place over 20 times. This is the BEST Indian food I've found in San Diego, yet it seems like I'm eating at a fancy restaurant because it's so reasonably priced. It's pretty amazing how pleasant, kind, and attentive the service is, and how nicely decorated and presented the plates and dishes are. I suggest all chicken dishes, but especially Chicken 65 and " Chicken dum Biryani." Any finicky eater, like me, will appreciate the meals here. I say this from experience.”
“Was recommended by a friend and was served by John Nguyen, he gave me the recommendation to try the fries and chow mein and it was great! Great service would definitely come back again.”
“Absolutely the most of the most! The veggies are abundant fresh and crispy. the pork is tender and flavorful and the tiny rice noodles are hot and well cooked. they serve it with large lettuce leaves that you wrap all the goodies up as a Vietnamese burrito. and dip it into a flavorful sauce called fish sauce but it is not fishy and does not taste like fish. Tops! Every dish is tops. and the soups are also fun to try. A fun meal pretty much describes the Saigon Restaurant. Thank you, Victor. He's the top cheese there. I'm so happy this restaurant survived the pandemic.”
“OMG! Had the tamales for the 1st time. We each had 2 but will have 1 next time so good, so filling, so delicious. My mouth waters as I write this review. I'll drive the distance to get more.”
“I am from Phoenix and come to OB about 4 times a year. This was my first time at We Be OB. We were on the way back from the dog park and decided we were hungry, but we had no wallet, only phones. We decided to stop and see if they had Apple Pay and they did. They are the home of the panini dog but since it was 9:30 am we thought the breakfast special was in order. Half sausage and egg panini and coffee for $7. We also got the 1/2 Linguica sausage and egg panini and in all honestly was the best breakfast sammy I have ever had. The sausage is a Portuguese smoked pork seasoned with garlic and paprika. YOU HAVE GOT TO HAVE ONE! The half was a perfect size. You will not be disappointed.”
“Very nice place to have a beer! Lots of good beers in all styles. They serve half doses, which is great for trying several. They usually have a food vendor in front. The little shop is full of cool things.”

“Took me back to my childhood. Haven't seen or been to one in a long time. A bit expensive for me, but the food was great. Love the atmosphere and all the staff was friendly and welcoming.I really appreciate the dress code that they have. Didn't cause a problem with my limited wardrobe I had on a short trip. I wish more places has certain moral standards for their locations.”
“Omg sooooooooo yummy!! As I was walking up I saw a worker walking out with food from there so I knew it was gonna be good! Service was excellent, atmosphere was pleasant. Great little gem of a place!”
“Always a good time at Puesto. Food is overpriced but it’s creative. Like their tamarind shrimp tacos- and soo good. The drinks here are genuinely soo good. Our server was so friendly and food came out in a timely manner despite the fact they were very busy. I come here mainly when I want a really good drink. The coconut margarita is my favorite. It’s inside the shopping center where Trader Joe’s is at and I never have trouble finding parking.”
“Visiting San Diego for a conference and had a wonderful dinner at Coasterra! Margaritas are amazing and the scallops were delicious. Do not usually do dessert but had the butter cake and it did not disappoint! Our waiter was Kyle and probably none of the best waiters we have ever had. He should give lessons on how to be a badass waiter and how to give real service!”
“We had no problem getting a table just service. Miguel's restaurant was not so busy and it didn't seem that they were short staffed cause I think there were more employees standing conversing with each other than customers seated. I worked in customer service business for 38 years and as a local person I sure would want the tourists that ate at my restaurant to go back home with a memory of the food and great customer service they had.in San Diego.Parking: There's a lot of renovations happening down at the harbor so you can find yourself driving around looking for a metered parking spot and disabled parking are limited.Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of room for a wheelchair. I had no problem using my walker.”
“On a busy Monday night, my wife and I walked up to the hostess and requested a table for us + our infant in a stroller. Minutes later, we took the elevator to the roof where we were greeted and the table had a chair removed for the stroller. A server came and gave us water and told us that our waiter would be over shortly. The restaurant was super busy and the hostess noticed that our waiter hadn't yet stopped by and asked if we wanted to put in anything while we were waiting. The wait wasn't very long at this point but we loved the attention being paid to us. We ordered a Suntory highball that was refreshing, edamame, the Lumi roll, the signature "pizza," and a ceviche. The food was delicious and we were quite full from this. Throughout the night, the DJ was fantastic! We probably would have stayed all night to enjoy his mixes that had us singing to 90s, 2000s, and some current hits. Added bonus was a rocket that flew over us. The trail from the rocket paired nicely with the restaurant lighting for a cool image.”
“I attended a wonderful birthday dinner at the Parado. The outside patio was the perfect setting for our group of four. Our waiter Beto gave us excellent service. He was very knowledgeable about the menu items and gave us specific details about the ingredients. The beet salad on a bed of arugula was fresh and well presented. My sea bass was cooked to perfection, moist with a nice sear on top.The German chocolate cake and coffee topped off an enjoyable meal. The excellent service and courtesy from the Parado emplyees really set the bar high.”
“Our waitress Isabelle, (who was a delight) informed us they launched a new menu, and let me tell you everything we had was off the charts delicious! We enjoyed the loaded tostones to start. For entrees, we devoured the skirt steak and short rib penne pasta. The steak included two sides, we chose the charred broccolini and lemon with candy pistachios, also Mac and cheese. Great dining experience!”
“We had our wedding brunch here on April 13th and we cannot thank the entire staff enough-- Andrea, Monica, Jessie, and Mariana were all wonderful and made our day so easy. I realize some of our guests arrived a little early but I appreciate the staff still allowing people to sit and chat a bit before our actual brunch started.Mariana was so sweet and easy to talk to, and incredibly helpful. She made sure everything was set up the way we wanted it to be. She also allowed us to enjoy a meal before our actual event which was so nice! We also appreciate the IT staff helping us play our own music! All of the wait staff made sure everyone was taken care of, with drinks and food and desserts, and even helped us take some photos. They were all completely on top of it and we appreciate it immensely. The gauchos that helped out were also incredible. We know how much work it is to serve in a setting like this with a bunch of people and they killed it. Especially with little kids. The food was so good, and everything was nice and fresh when it came to delivering to our little private dining area. The honeyed cheese was one of my favorites. Plus the drinks were also great. Thank you so much to everyone at Fogo for making our wedding day so enjoyable and easy!”
“What an AMAZING View of San Diego downtown at sunset and nightfall. My catch of the day dinner, a whole Red Snapper, was AWESOME; I ate the whole damn thing mixed with the beans, except for the head! It was grilled to perfection and beautifully displayed.According to my wife, this was the BEST meal we had [I shared some] for our 5-day stay in San Diego. She had the other dish in the photos along with oysters. I, on the other hand, had no interest in not being able to chew my food.”
New Restaurants
“This is my second time coming in with my family. Again, we loved how clean and spaced out the place was. The food was delicious as last time! This time the crab fried rice was not so salty. I appreciate how there is actual crab in the food and makes the flavors more vibrant. We ordered drunken noodles, chicken pad Thai, crab wonton, yellow curry. I tried some new things such as the crab wonton and it's about 5 pieces. In terms of service, I noticed that our server did so much for the restaurant. She took phone call orders, managed take out service, and served tables all at the same time. She mentioned that her restaurant is still new but she did so well multitasking. She was very humble. She did her best to take care of us and was so sweet about not wanting to accept my tip even though she basically managed the place entirely. She mentioned how her staff deserved all the money and I was insistent that she take it too! She may not have been able to take care of us the whole time, but she was always generous about giving us utensils and even listened and conversed with us when she had a million things to do. I hope this business stays for a long time (forever hopefully) knowing that there are good people like her managing this place. Just a suggestion to Palm Thai Cafe: maybe have utensils and napkins out so customers can grab as much as they need! Might help take a load off your busy plate. Thanks again! See you all soon.”
“Went for a birthday dinner and everything was delicious! We shared the artichokes, arrabbiata pizza, rigatoni alla norcina and bucatini pastas. Also had some really good montepulciano wine. They brought an affogato for birthday dessert and took a Polaroid for us which was cute! My only feedback is that way too many people kept coming to the table to check on us. Multiple people came over in the span of like 5 mins to ask how everything was-- appreciate the intention but it felt like nonstop interruptions of our conversation.”
“My husband and I decided to try this place on a whim since we were in the area. While it is a little on the pricey side, the food is completely worth it. They have the best spicy tuna I have ever had. It wasn't about nuking your taste buds, but a pleasant warmth that enhanced the taste of the tuna. Definitely order the Luna Lemon! We will have to come back because we saw the table next to us order some takoyaki and it looked amazing. I do recommend making reservations for weekend dinner, it was busy there!”
“Cannot stress how good the food is at this place! The Burrata and Mortadella sandwich is easily in the top 3 sandwiches I’ve ever eaten, and quite possibly #1.Everything from the sandwich, to the side salad, to the cucumber lemonade was top notch. Will definitely be back.”
“My friends and I stopped by Santa gula while on our Irish4aday bar crawl, and we got a yummy free welcome shot along with a reverse happy hour until closing. We will be back here again for the next GEM bar crawl!”
“The pizza was OUTSTANDING. fresh and delicious! The service was top notch. Wilfredo and Maggie were wonderful hosts. The presentation was really really good. we really enjoyed ourselves and can't wait to go back.”
“The original acai. The best in town!I love the passion fruit cream topping. Also the cheese bread and cold mate tea are amazing ??Come check out the new location pacific beach.747 emerald st.”
“Ordered the Side Chick and fries. Using Crack Shack as a baseline, Not disappointed, sandwich was great, wish I would've got one with some heat - next time... Overall, it's a solid 8.5 out of 10. Cannot beat that price ($12 with fries) point and this location is extremely convenient!!! Pictures next visit - very soon...”
“Consistently excellent food. Price is very reasonable. Casual and neat ambiance. Their traditional classic dumplings and Kimchi dumplings are my favorite. Their hot and sour soup really stands out.”
“New favorite Thai restaurant that opened up not too long ago, owners are very kind and hardworking. Definitely recommend if you're looking for Thai cuisine and are in the area.”
“Good acai! I think my favorite part about this is that they serve it in a cup, not a bowl. It's so much easier to eat on the go! I made my own 16oz with acai, granola, coconut, bananas, blueberries, strawberries, honey, and peanut butter. My boyfriend got the crunchy bowl. Next time we both decided my move was the best! I would get double granola and no honey next time (honey had an odd super fake sweet flavor to me). The acai itself was very good and the fruit was fresh. Quite difficult to park over there so definitely grab a spot even if you're a few blocks away. There was only one person working so it was a bit of a wait for the acai to be fully prepped - about 10 mins or so but the indoor space is super clean and trendy so not bad to wait. If I'm going to pay $27 for two bowls, I still love my juice wave acai in mission but I would pop back in here if I was in the area and craving acai.”
“A good friend and I met for am overdue catch up chat. Parking, though limited, was not a problem at 10am. We elected to sit outside as available indoor seating was a bit too cozy for our conversation. Amazingly quick service as we walked up to the counter and placed our order. The ambiance was warm with it's honey yellow soft neon lighting and honey bee /honeycomb motif. Each of us had eaten prior to our arrival so we opted to pass on ordering food. The menu was inviting for a rather chilly mid morning. (I will be interested in trying a hot bowl of oatmeal with honeycomb in a future visit) My nonfat latte was served hot and with a subtle hint of honey. The paper cup was sturdy and maintained the drink temperature long into our conversation. Foot traffic, walk-ins and drive up business was constant during our 2 1/2 chat. No long lines formed, no honking horns despite a stop light next to this location on Mission Gorge & Zion Avenue. Certainly a stop (or drive through) worth making!”
“Try this new Mediterranean carryout kitchen. Order online at pitanjoy.com, and have it delivered by one of the services offered, or pick it up yourself. This is a ghost kitchen in an industrial area a couple streets from the Pechanga-Sports Arena. Cooking is done in this commercial kitchen, but it's purely carryout...no eat-in. See the website for daily specials. Lunch or dinner. We had both chicken and gyro meat, rice, salad, cucumber-tomato, firey feta (a hot sauce spread) and tzatziki sauce. Yum. Order some extra pita bread because the servings are generous. You'll likely have leftovers. Note: If you are picking up, it's an industrial area with a spartan "lobby". Their poster is on the lobby wall. Use the QR code on it to grab their phone number. Call and tell them you are in the lobby to pick-up. Nice guy, appreciates your business. He does catering too. This is a great way to support a small business. Check it out.”
“This place is very clean and the service is excellent. The food is really good. I would try the burritos. Fresh seafood and also frozen seafood is available for sale along with other products. What I like about this place is that it's obvious that they know what they're doing.”
“Went to Mission + Garnet and my daughter wanted a smash burger. Luckily, Beefy Steve's was there. Beefy Steve's is a cute food truck/trailer on the outside of Mission + Garnet food hub. The guy in the trailer was nice. Asked us right away if we needed help or had any questions. Easy + simple menu, pretty self explanatory. My daughter ordered a smash burger and fries. Order was ready in less than 10 minutes. I didn't try her food, but she said it was really really good!”
“Our favorite restaurant in San Diego right now. The staff and Chef never miss with a dish or service. Date night at the bar is amazing. Cocktails are great and the wine list is an excellent compliment to the menu.”
