“Great experience at PB Poke House! I ordered the Classic Shoyu with ahi tuna and the Maui Signature Bowl with half Spicy Garlic ahi and half Māori Kid salmon topped with crispy onions. Both were incredibly fresh and full of flavor. The portions were generous and you could really taste the quality of the fish. The staff was also friendly and welcoming. Definitely one of the best poke places I’ve tried in San Diego. I’ll be coming back!“

“Seriously, the longest restaurant name but delicious food. I got the Spicy Poke Bowl and it was fresh and not too spicy. For my side I got the mac salad, which was fine but not the best I've ever had. We also ordered an order of Spam Musubi and that was pretty great. I will definitely be coming back to try more food and get another Spam Musubi.“

“Fish District is much better than the Rubios and Fish Grill that are nearby. Their food is fresh, delicious, and healthy.

The cashier/server Paige provided excellent recommendations and outstanding customer service.

“Visited recently and had a good experience overall at L&L Hawaiian Barbecue. Portions were generous and the food definitely hit the spot when craving Hawaiian BBQ. The BBQ chicken had good flavor and the macaroni salad was solid. Service was friendly and the food came out reasonably fast. Giving 4 stars instead of 5 only because a few things could have been a little more consistent, but overall I’d come back again.“

“Overall, this La Mesa location it’s not too bad. It’s pretty good. The barbecue beef again. This is a college area and yet this one in La Mesa beats the one located in La Jolla so something‘s going on over in the expensive area where they’re cheating the value or the quality where you have El Cajon and now here in La Mesa much better quality service is pretty good in the atmosphere. It’s it’s giving me that Hawaiian vibe a little bit so watch out expensive living areas you gotta pick up your game and stop being cheap.“

“It was take out. It was fantastic….everything was so good……and different, and so seems so special. I love their sauces. I love what they do with beef and chicken. I’ve been having L&L. Hawaiian BBQ almost daily for a month, and think of it as a daily staple. YUM“

“Best L&L is all of San Diego. The food is excellent and they have more options than all the other ones. Plenty of seating inside, tables are clean, great value too.

There is plenty of parking, its very family-friendly. Best suits medium parties or smaller. Indoor and outdoor seating. Easy to find parking, but it still gets busy.“

“Amazing food as always... Quality service and quality for your purchase... Unfortunately on this, our goodbye visit... We got the wrong chicken ordered... My mother ordered chicken katsu... But as we were packing up our order we realized that we received barbecue chicken instead... They were closing and we needed to get on the freeway for our journey home... The only disappointment was that we were looking forward to chicken katsu... Hawaiian barbecue is hard to come by in New Mexico... We have a spot in our town... They to are amazing as well... Yet, you just can't beat L&Ls portions... Quality and quantity that hasn't changed for almost a century now...“

“Everyone in our house used to like poke. After we found Poke Chop, we LOVE poke! They have so many options of fish and sauces and toppings. I’ve never found as big of a selection. My daughter would eat here every day if I’d let her. There aren’t many places in Hillcrest where a family of 3 can get dinner for around $30, and be totally stuffed, and not feel blah afterwards. The fish is always really fresh. The only thing that could make it better is if they added mango, mmmmm. We try to eat there as much as possible because it will be a very sad day if they close. (It’s a reality in the Hillcrest restaurant business ☹️).“

Sushi Hana hands down one of the best sushi spots I’ve ever visited. The fish is unbelievably fresh, the rolls are beautifully prepared, and every bite bursts with flavor. The staff are warm, attentive, and make you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. The atmosphere is cozy yet modern—perfect for both a casual lunch or a special night out.“

“I'd work here if they paid me in poke bowls. So good. Other places the fish is questionable but this place always has a great taste and seems fresh! Oh and since you got rid of your yummy fountain and now just have standard Pepsi $2+ is a little much for a little cup of a Pepsi product .... I miss the old options that were worth the money �“
