“Came all the way from Riverside to Pacific Beach and this place was 100% worth the drive! From the moment I walked in, everyone was super friendly and welcoming. First impression was amazing, and the food was even better seriously 100/10! 🤩

Everything tasted incredibly fresh, the quality was amazing, and you can definitely tell they care about what they serve. I’ll absolutely be making the drive back. Highly recommend if you’re in Pacific Beach and looking for some amazing poke! 🍣🔥“

“Located near the sdsu campus, this location is accessible to students and community members alike. The food was fresh and the katsu had a delectable crutch that left a good taste in my mouth. The cashier was a kind soul that made our L & L experience one that we’ll never forget.“

“5 stars all around I got my food to go so did not really get to judge the atmosphere of this nice little restaurant, but from what I could tell it was great and located in a good area of North Park. Loved the teriyaki stake definitely going back here 💯“

“Everyone in our house used to like poke. After we found Poke Chop, we LOVE poke! They have so many options of fish and sauces and toppings. I’ve never found as big of a selection. My daughter would eat here every day if I’d let her. There aren’t many places in Hillcrest where a family of 3 can get dinner for around $30, and be totally stuffed, and not feel blah afterwards. The fish is always really fresh. The only thing that could make it better is if they added mango, mmmmm. We try to eat there as much as possible because it will be a very sad day if they close. (It’s a reality in the Hillcrest restaurant business ☹️).“

“Love this L&L. Staff is always super friendly. Food is more flavorful than the other locations. I come in almost every Monday for the musubi deal. Really good deal for really good musubis. They even have them in a warmer up front so you don’t have to wait at all.“

“Fish District is much better than the Rubios and Fish Grill that are nearby. Their food is fresh, delicious, and healthy.

The cashier/server Paige provided excellent recommendations and outstanding customer service.

“Great BBQ! Would recommend the original BBQ plate, a bit more expensive than other options but the quality is there. BBQ Beef is best in San Diego. Local chain with a mom-and-pop-esque friendly staff. Everything made to order so order ahead be prepared to wait a bit (worth it).“

“Amazing food as always... Quality service and quality for your purchase... Unfortunately on this, our goodbye visit... We got the wrong chicken ordered... My mother ordered chicken katsu... But as we were packing up our order we realized that we received barbecue chicken instead... They were closing and we needed to get on the freeway for our journey home... The only disappointment was that we were looking forward to chicken katsu... Hawaiian barbecue is hard to come by in New Mexico... We have a spot in our town... They to are amazing as well... Yet, you just can't beat L&Ls portions... Quality and quantity that hasn't changed for almost a century now...“

“I have been coming here for years! Sammy and Juan have always treated me with great hospitality and the spirit of Aloha. Now that Ono Hawaiian BBQ just opened down the street, I had to try them out. As long as L and L is still here, I am never going back to Ono. I tried a little bit of everything there but they dont do it traditional Hawaiian and the flavors and quality is no match to L and L which is surprising with a name like Ono. Nonetheless, this location is my inland spot no matter what. Mahalo Nui Boys! Cheeehoo!“
