Also had Spam Musubi for an appetizer, amazingly delicious as well. If you are in La Jolla, stop in and give L&L a try.“

“Love coming to this local shop in Ocean Beach. My favorite is their Furikake Salmon along with some rice. Hits the spot every time!

There's no tables inside but my group always goes to Ocean Beach to take in the views and eat. A must try for the area.“

“I stopped by today and had an excellent experience. The food was great, the place was clean, and the atmosphere was nice.
But the highlight was the service from the cashier. She greeted me with a genuine smile, was incredibly kind, and provided the kind of customer service that really stands out. It’s refreshing to walk into a place and be treated with such respect and positive energy.

“Small place but great food if you like the Hawaiian vibe. The Katsu's are tasty and super crispy! Reminds me of places I've been in Hawaii and Japan. They have some fun selections for beverages and dessert. It can get crazy busy but worth the wait.“

“Absolutely delicious. Best Hawiian food I’ve had since being on Hawaii, 10/10. My new go-to! Good job guys!! I got the Seafood combo platter delivered, the Kalbi (short ribs) was seasoned to perfection, shrimp was fried perfectly, and the fish katsu was also seasoned perfectly, and had a nice crunch to the crust. You can really tell they put love into the food. Mac salad was very good, just added a pinch of black pepper (personal preference). Mahalo!“

“Food was delicious and tasted fresh. Wish it came in a larger portion. I got two scoops (1 salmon and 1 tofu). Service was friendly and place was clean. I would come here again. Bathrooms could have been cleaner.

“Everyone in our house used to like poke. After we found Poke Chop, we LOVE poke! They have so many options of fish and sauces and toppings. I’ve never found as big of a selection. My daughter would eat here every day if I’d let her. There aren’t many places in Hillcrest where a family of 3 can get dinner for around $30, and be totally stuffed, and not feel blah afterwards. The fish is always really fresh. The only thing that could make it better is if they added mango, mmmmm. We try to eat there as much as possible because it will be a very sad day if they close. (It’s a reality in the Hillcrest restaurant business ☹️).“

“I came into l &l after a nasty dirty experience at chipotle so I wasn’t expecting much from a food establishment 2 doors down and I was blown away with a my experience at L&L the place was clean very welcoming Magaly the cashier was awesome and turned my whole day around her customer service and great attitude patience and great overall vibe was beautiful my friend had to compliment her on her great service I will always come to this food establishment when I’m in this area and had to give a review so everyone could know what great service this place has and the food is amazing as well and cook is doing a great job aswell“

“I'd work here if they paid me in poke bowls. So good. Other places the fish is questionable but this place always has a great taste and seems fresh! Oh and since you got rid of your yummy fountain and now just have standard Pepsi $2+ is a little much for a little cup of a Pepsi product .... I miss the old options that were worth the money �“

“So delicious! The California roll was the best one I’ve ever had- it was made fresh and very tasty. The spam musubi was delicious as well- hot and the rice cooked perfectly. The gyoza was good as well. The prices are fair, and the service was great.“

“I've been to this location and ordered online a few times. It's always been friendly, fast and fresh. I'm surprised at the bad reviews, but maybe I've just been lucky. I find The Poke Co. is one of the better, more solid options that doesn't try to nickel and dime you for ingredients and gives good portions.“
