“An absolutely amazing dining experience! Went at high tide (not King Tide) but still special having the waves come up to our window! It was our 21st wedding anniversary and they did everything to make it special. Special table right on the window with waves up to our window. Custom personalized menu and glass of champagne to toast. Stefano was so classy and treated us like royalty. No rush at all and excellent service all night. There were a few mistakes made like timing and steak a little undercooked but they were so apologetic and went way above and beyond service to correct and make things right (way more than necessary) The lobster bisque was probably best ever and our Poached Butter lobster and Waygu Ribeye were spectacular. Everything was fantastic and how they took care of us over very minor mistakes, was stellar! We will be back for other special occasions and highly recommend for special dining experience.“

“Blaine was absolutely fantastic from the time we approached the counter to when he came out giving out samples of the ice cream to customers sitting on the dinning room. He was very personable! Hard to find great people working in the industry! Our second visit here and the food brought us back, as the previous visit the young girl at the counter was not very friendly.“

“Growing up in NY I can tell you this was the best Italian food I've had in SD in 25 years. Magnificent! There were four of us and we had veal saltimboca, veal chop, cannelloni, fleet tips with past and table side Cesar. Every single dish was fabulous. We sat close to the bar where there was live piano music, signing and dancing. Just a fun and enjoyable evening! We will be back! Well done!“

“My bride and I just spent 4 nights at the hotel. It was very nice. The restaurant, to us, is the crown jewel. We had a superb dinner. The seafood was fabulous, our server (Steven) was a delight and of course the sunset! We had breakfast on our last morning and it was very good! “First time at Sammy’s in Imperial Beach for breakfast the portions were big and the desserts delicious. We definitely will be returning. Sammy’s is one of my favorite restaurants!“

“My sister recommended the carne asada California burrito, surf&turf burrito, fish burrito. She said the cheese pull was magnificent and I agree on that, but my California burrito was very dry. I doused it in salsa but, dry fries, crunchy steak and not much guac made for dry bites. The street is closed to cars though so I liked the outdoor seating. Kids are scootering around and if you come before 4 on a Sunday, no need to wait in line.“

“We used Expedia to book and for some reason the site kept giving us an error and when it finally let us book, it had changed the date from the 15/16 to 25.. it was non refundable. The incredible staff at the Sheraton handled it, got us our room and we just got an email informing us that we would be getting a refund for the 25. My suggestion is to call the hotel and book your rooms through them. Beautiful property, room and beds super comfy for a reasonable price.. the staff are very nice and helpful. Pool was warm and the hot tub was excellent after long day of walking..“
