Good food, limited options (food truck style kitchen) but they have a very cute coffee shop and bar (beers and wines). Plenty of seating area to enjoy the beautiful beach views and enjoy the paragliding. Highly recommend 👌
Love this place, great views and vibes, great photography spot for family and headshots at sunset. One of my top spots in La Jolla
Casual spot to get lunch. Had the roast beef La Jolla sandwich which was tasty. Went on a Saturday so it was pretty busy. We had to wait around for a bit to snag a table with an umbrella. Cafe overlooks the water and is a great spot to watch paragliders fly. Only restrooms available are potta potties fyi.

Cliff Hanger Cafe offers delicious wood-fired pizzas and sandwiches with stunning views. The Pizza Bianca is outstanding, and the Meat Lovers pizza is also highly recommended. The cafe serves alcohol, welcomes kids and dogs, and has great music for ambience. They offer homemade soups and Thrifty ice cream, with the vanilla bean ice cream with cone being exceptional. Services was fast, even when super crowded. The sandwich looked good. The location is what makes this place great; it’s a nice spot to watch paragliders practice, takeoff, and land, with a beautiful view of the beach below. The place can get pretty crowded on weekends and hot days, making it challenging to find shade. The view and casual terrace make it a perfect stop after a visit. The food is much better than your typical landmark cafe, and the prices are very reasonable. Service is OK; orders are placed at the counter, and customers receive a receipt with a number to call when food is ready for pickup. The restaurant is a great spot for a casual lunch in a beautiful part of San Diego, though the portable bathrooms situation needs work.
