Great location with amazing views! The pizza is very good and the sandwiches are great! The wait can be a little long, but there's great bar service and the views and activity make the wait fly by.

Beautiful view destroyed by loud rap music being played by restaurant speakers. Turns out, the owners (some has-been surfers, by the looks of it) just received a liquor license, and apparently they think they can boost profits by blaring bad music. Totally destroys the ambience and beauty of the spot.

Absolutely stunning views of the paragliders taking off and landing. The pizza made fresh in a wood fire oven was amazing. Fantastic spot for a casual lunch in a superb part of San Diego!

My favorite place. A dreamy place with great food. Things to keep in mind :) 1. Alcohol is now being served!! IDs are being checked. 2. No picnic allowed on private premise. (No outside food allowed) . Signs everywhere. 3. Gift shop next door, check it out ! 4. Extended menu on weekends! Wood fire pizzas and grill items as well. 5. Kids items such as hotdogs and grilled cheeses are available. 6. Dogs welcomed, must be on leash. Plenty of dog bowls around for them. 7. Portable bathrooms only!! 8. Handicap parkings available 9. Soups are home made 10. Serving Thrifty ice cream! The best place in La Jolla

Parking: There is plenty of parking, but the terrain is rough for the elderly or handicapped.

Came here yesterday on valentines day. We had just got done doing a hike in Torrey Pines state beach. We googled some lunch spots and found this one. We are sandwich people so we thought to try it... and it did not disappoint. We loved the amazing view of the ocean and the gliders. It was like lunch and entertainment in one. It really was relaxing.I ordered the TURKEY TUSCANY but sub ROSEMARY BREAD and my fiance got the HAM TEXAN. Both were delicious. The rosemary bread is so good! The lady taking our order was super nice. The ambiance was beyond beautiful because u are on a cliff with the ocean view and air and the San Diego sun..Note: it may seem confusing when you walk up but yes it's the blue building connected to the gliderport. Also it's a dirt parking lot.Parking: It's a dirt parking lot so just be prepared. Some areas are uneven. And depending on rain, it may be muddy.

Incredible place to catch an amazing view and to see hang gliders. I really like the open fields. The menu is very cheap and affordable, plus they give large portions, as well. Highky recommend their food but the cheese pizza wasn't too good. The chicken wrap and breakfast burritos are delicious!Kid-friendliness: It's a fun place to bring kids....with a good view and walking trails from the parking lot.

Great place to hang out and enjoy an ocean view. Amateur hang gliders provide interesting entertainment. The burger had excellent taste and the staff at the cafe are very friendly and nice, very informative about the gliding packages and the area in general.Parking: Parking lot is quite big but it is a simple dirt plot leading to cafe and cliffs above Black’s Beach. Easy to find parking but may be difficult to drive through.

Quaint spot next at the Gliderport cliffs with outdoor bench seating that serves soups and sandwiches. The sandwiches are delicious and the service is excellent; definitely recommend the Alpulco Wind.

wanted to get a quick bite but the hours are wrong. it says it closes at 5 and i'm here before 4 and it's all shut down. it may be because of the winds right now but i wish they would've posted it or something on their website.

Fresh ingredients and very generous portions made with love, and an amazing view! The parking lot is nuts, no alcohol is served and port-a-potties in the parking lot for restrooms, but all well worth it.

The food was fantastic, pizza was honestly perfect. The staff were very friendly and a pleasure to deal with. The pizza guy makes his own pesto, it's the best I've ever had. He should be selling that stuff in jars you can buy.
