“My wife and I dined here tonight for our 5 year anniversary. The staff is super nice and the service is amazing. The walkways are a little tight it feels a bit packed in - but they are trying to optimize for seating space and comfort. Our server was John he has worked at the resturante for over 20 years. He was really funny he told us a joke that make me laugh really hard. He said you know the 3 rings of marriage don't you? The engagement 'ring'. The wedding 'ring'. And finally the suffe-'ring'! Haha. The owner came by and said watch this place is going to be packed. He said I wish Monday was a Sunday so we could be packed again. The food was great the service was top notch. Trust me my wife is super picky. Not a cheap dinner out. In terms of a special dinner - or celebrating something nice you will be pleased with the result and price. Again my wife is extremely picky (tries to be GF) and she was very happy (she said it feels like we are on one of great cruise trip dinners with celebrity! that's a very high compliment for her - very rare - she loves a good cruising experience!). We will be coming back again. Thank you Pamplemousse Grill for making my wife happy!

“Such a nice, big space in a great location. The bartender was super sweet to my boys and gave them a doggy biscuit and they have multiple water bowls. It is dog friendly inside and out, but with a pretty day we sat outside. 9 more dogs ended up coming while we sipped our drink, all were happy and welcomed. Nice, crisp beer“

“Food and service were outstanding! We sat outside on the beautifully decorated patio. This will definitely be my go-to Italian restaurant. It's a family run business and it is obvious they put their heart and soul into it. I highly recommend it!“

“Ohhhh.... I just had such a delicious shrimp po-boy sandwich at Fish District in Solana Beach!! And I'm a hard critic of po-boys being Cajun from Louisiana!! Plus their warm bread pudding was soooo yummy!! I'll be back!“

“The food was delicious! Everyone I went with was happy with the mix of sweet and savory dishes we got. The lavender matcha latte was a bit disappointing though because of the color and flavor. I asked for additional syrup in order to taste the lavender and it didn't look purple like what my friend and I thought it should look like based on the menu's graphic.

It was also a little weird how we were at first split into two groups so we sat at two different tables, probably because space-wise it was more suitable for smaller parties. Once some customers at a nearby table left, we were able to combine tables and sit together as one group. I guess that couldn't be helped though since it would be difficult to rearrange people while they're still dining.

Overall it was great so I would eat here again! I'd just be more mindful of bringing smaller groups here next time and making more time to find parking.“

“The food was delicious, the location is convenient and the wait time was pretty much nonexistant. The prices are outrageously high, I understand that this is 2025 and there are some increases but I only went here one time after I learned a California burrito was nearly 17 dollars. Dang it was good though.“

“One of those places where you don’t want to believe the poor reviews but by the time you leave they make sense. Definitely slow service regardless of how busy it is. Solid menu but even for the location it’s pricey. Bloody Mary is almost a scam for what you get. Portions on the smaller side, forgot to take a photo or two. The vibes are good and it feels rustic but will not return.“

“It's kind of cool to eat at a sushi bar with mostly outdoor seating and sports on the TVs, though there are a few seats inside at the sushi bar itself.

Overall, it was a decent experience. The food was average and the portions were large. The service was great. For parking, there's street parking as well as a small dedicated lot behind the building.“

“First time here. Fun atmosphere and pretty good food. Ordered a family sized salad, and was a good size. Too much for four people. Ordered a large sausage and pepperoni pizza, again, too much for four people. I was very impressed with the amount of cheese and toppings that were on it! Will be back when I'm back in town.“
