“We’re visiting Carlsbad and didn’t have dinner reservations, so after walking around the Village we decided to try our luck at the bar. We were told about 30 minutes for a table, or we could wait for seats at the bar. We chose the bar, met a nice couple while waiting, and had seats open up in about 15 minutes.

Really impressive place from the minute you walk in. The building, architecture, lighting and attention to detail are all extremely well done. Great atmosphere without trying too hard.

Josh took care of us at the bar and was outstanding. Made us cocktails right away, walked us through the menu and gave honest, down-to-earth recommendations. We couldn’t decide, so we sampled a few things. The deviled eggs were a standout, and the ribeye dip and fried chicken were both excellent.

What really made it was the combination of the atmosphere, food and service. Everything was on point without feeling overly formal or stuffy.

We’re from out of town, so unfortunately this probably won’t become a regular stop for us, but it’s one we’ll remember. Definitely left wishing we had more places like this back home. Exactly our kind of place.“

“I love tacos El Pueblo!!!! A San Diego classic with the famous $1.39 fish tacos (at the time of this writing) their service is fantastic. The staff is friendly. The food is great. The salsa is awesome! And the complimentary pickled carrots are a classic. I sincerely hope you will read this review and visit this esteemed establishment to give them your business as opposed to visiting a crappiestablishment such as Chipotle.“

“One of our favorite spots in Carlsbad! The atmosphere is always so good, the beer selection is amazing, the food hits every time, and the staff truly makes this place what it is.

Steel and Cass are THE BEST. We specifically love coming in for San Diego Sundays because they make it such a fun time every single time. Such a great spot to come watch a game. The service is always incredible, they are so welcoming, so attentive, and they bring the best energy. They are a huge reason we keep coming back.

The beer selection is insane too. Tons of cans and bottles to choose from, so many great IPAs, and always something new to try. And do not sleep on the food. The burgers are all so good, the black truffle burrata is unreal, and the Getting Figgy With It pizza with prosciutto added, per Steel’s recommendation, is a MUST.

Perfect for lunch, beers with friends, date night, or just hanging out for a few hours. Great food, great drinks, great vibes, and even better people. Steel and Cass deserve all the hype. We love this place!“

“I thought it was enjoyable. Not only the beer, but the brewery itself was unique. They did have a food vendor in the front, but I did not eat. They have mostly indoor, and a couple picnic tables outside which. It’s hard to compare this location with the other burgeon locations because they are all so different. Wish they would offer a Happy Hour or a featured/discounted beer like how Harland and Pizzaport does.“

“The location is great with a beautiful view. The clam chowder was not my favorite but still good. The prawn cocktail was very fresh. Now the oysters amazing I would definitely order those again. The Rockefeller oysters were a little too fishy for my taste I normally get the Rockefeller clams.“

I've gotten a half a golf ball-sized chunk of pineapple core in two different meals.

I would like to add, it is very difficult for Anthony and his team to keep this business going. I have notice a few people and groups are bringing in thier own food and drinks. This makes it very difficult for the Campstore to stay in business. All the things they do for the holidays and Jurassic Animals for the kids, this cost a lot. Can we just enjoy something special that they have built for all of us to enjoy. Let's support the staff, management and leadership with our patronage.“

“The food is fantastic at this little Hideaway restaurant located near CVS and planet fitness in Vons Shopping Center off El Camino. The service is great the restaurant is clean and the only thing I have to have a slight complaint about is they could use some air conditioning in this hot weather but other than that everything was fantastic. “We absolutely love this place for Ramen. I do wish the outdoor ambience was a little better. But there’s not much I can do about that being at all shopping complex. But all we really care about is the food when it comes down to it. And the Ramen is absolutely delicious. My daughter asks on a daily basis to eat here.“

“We come here periodically and the food is always great. We appreciate the healthy choices, especially for our kiddos too. Even the soft drinks are yummy. I especially love their sauces and the chimichurri that comes with the empanadas is to die for. Our kids were having a rough time on one of our recent visits - our toddler was crying - and Louie was so kind and understanding. He saved the day with a couple of cookies for the kids. There was also an odd alarm going off behind their building that made it a little unpleasant to sit outside, but he found the security guard and got the issue fixed right away, which felt above-and-beyond. “Having driven past this restaurant for years, my wife and I had dinner there today.
I had fish and chips (3pcs). Excellent!. Crispy breading, crispy fries, and the fish was flaky and tender. 3 pieces was a lot of fish. I've paid 50% more at fancy restaurants for fair fish and chips.
My wife had ahi bowl. Lightly seared, nicely seasoned on a bed of salad. She ate all of it, about 5 oz.
Nice relaxed, casual atmosphere.“

“Vigilucci’s has been one of my favorite restaurants in Carlsbad for years, and it never disappoints! I enjoy the Cotoletta alla Milanese. This time I had the Cappellacci di Zucca. The food is always delicious, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is wonderful. It’s a place I always look forward to coming back to!“

The grilled chicken was perfectly cooked and covered in rich, flavorful teriyaki sauce, and the California roll was super fresh and tasted way better than expected. 👀 It also came with rice, miso soup, and a salad, so you’re getting a full, satisfying meal. 🤤🫶🏻

Everything tasted fresh, clean, and really well put together—not heavy, just super enjoyable. The portions were solid, the flavors were on point, and you can tell they actually care about the quality. 😊💕

“We sat outside as the weather was perfect for dining al fresco. It was also much quieter than inside the restaurant. The menu is extensive and offers items not found at other restaurants. We started with the carciofini (baked artichoke hearts with lots of cheese) and was surprised at the portion size. It was good but on the salty side. Our entrees were the linguini Luciana and veal porcini. Again we were overwhelmed by the portion sizes and only finished half. The veal was good and loaded with porcini. Service was friendly yet professional. All in all, a good experience and we will return for another occasion.“
