“Been coming to Rock ‘n’ Jenny’s since it opened. My favorite hero sandwich. There are other very good sandwich shops, but this place’s sandwiches are unique, from the bread to the condiment combinations. I always go there with very high expectations, usually by salivating in anticipation. Honestly. Going there today, three hours from now. So looking forward to the food and experience.“

“My husband and I were on our way home from San Diego and wanted something delicious for lunch. I Googled “best restaurants in Escondido” and H Bros was on the list with a 4.7 ratings. Well it should be a 5 in our opinion! Starting with the young man who greeted us…..happily answered questions we had about the menu, gave us ice water and offered us to have a seat to review the menu before ordering at the counter. After we ordered and got our food (Philly cheesesteak sandwiches and homemade potato chips) we were checked on twice by the nice young man and a pleasant young lady! The food was amazing! We could tell that they put a lot of effort into preparation and it was served hot! We will be returning in the future!“

“My favorite place for middle eastern cuisine in North county. Generous portions and delicious food. A good value for the price. I always get 2 -3 meals out of my order. Bread no longer comes with meals but fair enough. Their prices are still very reasonable for the quality and quantity“

“On a recent visit to the San Diego/Escondido area, we ate at Craft and Taco Lounge. Since I’m vegan, it was my pick for dinner, and the Vegan Pastor ended up being my favorite. It was so good that I went back the next evening for takeout. I’ve had tacos across Texas and Mexico, and these were among the best I’ve had.“

“Such a hidden gem, especially for families! 🍷🌿 Rancho Guejito Winery is a great place to spend a Sunday. They have kids’ arts & crafts, a bouncy house, free hayrides, live music, and plenty of space for the kids to enjoy themselves while the adults relax.

The wine is great, there’s delicious food, and the whole atmosphere is laid-back and family-friendly. It’s one of those places where you can easily spend a few hours enjoying the beautiful setting while there’s something for everyone to do. “Lovely outdoor seating, staff was knowledgeable, and the wines are delectable and smooth. They are dog friendly for outdoor seating but be warned, there are three winery dogs who roam free; so don’t bring dog reactive dogs here. Otherwise, this is a fantastic winery to visit. They offer small shareable plates to snack on. Kids are welcome but they have to stay inside in a side room (that’s all glass walls so easy to spot). Parking lot is stone and there’s a narrow road to get in so drive slow. Overall, great for tasting or a lovely afternoon“

“It was about noon as I left my Doctors office and feeling a little hungry. I say Pegah’s Kitchen next door and gave it a try. The staff were all very professional. I had their Italian omelette and if I had to rate it on a one to 10 scale with 10 being the best, I would give it a 12. This is the Vista location. Highly recommend this place for breakfast and lunch, as they are not open for dinner.“

“First time eating here last weekend. I LOVED it!! I was asking myself “and why haven’t I eaten here before?”. Definitely will try again. Had the chicken teriyaki, maybe will try the steak next time, or the combo plate. Only wish they would have provided two teriyaki sauce cups, but asked for extra and received with a smile.“

“I must say. This is one of those special places in Escondido. Long known for their spectacular fresh seafood specialities. They also have options for those who like land animal varieties as well. I had a remainder of a gift card balance bequeathed to me to obtain dinner for the night. I tried ordering online but the online merchant payment API didn't tie into their internal gift card balance ledger. I called in and placed an order over the phone for the Waygu Burger Medium Well. I picked it up and it was ready. A very nice hostess in gorgeous black and gold metallic accents greeted me as she was doing the most important chore of the entire operation. Roll ups! She quickly assisted with tracking down my order and helping to process the gift card balance. I felt so effused I left the reminder of four dollars and change as thanks for her superior service. My mom loves this place and now I know why. Drink up me hearties Yo HO!!!!“

“I've been going to this place for years now and it never disappoints. So many Fantastic options to choose from you can't really go wrong with any of them picking a two item with three item plate and the portion that they give you the entrees are very gracious. And even more so if you happen to get in there right before closing time cuz they got to do something with the food. But give him a shot if you haven't done so yet you're missing out this is easily one of the better fast food restaurants in the city so get to it. My personal recommendations are the coconut shrimp and the chicken with mushrooms pretty much my go-to order every time I go here.“

“This is an amazing winery. Stumbled upon this gem after spending the day at the Safari Zoo Park. Wonderful wines (didn’t taste a bad one and hard to choose a favorite) and ambiance. Loved it so much that we became members of the Thirsty Kettle Club and shipped 6 fabulous bottles home. We spent some time talking w the owner, Jeannine…so personable and a true class act. “I have written a yelp review about their food. I love their plum sauce and that’s saying quite a bit as I am not a fan of the usual sweet side sauces. This one is different though. Their Pad Kee Mao or spicy noodles is honestly so good. Their noodles aren’t mushy (they are perfect) like so many restaurants have let them get, and their food is always served hot.“

“I come here for the prime rib special every Friday. I don’t have anything else to do on fridays. So I just eat prime ribs here on fridays. No clubbing, no friends, no video games, not even a bingo night. I just eat prime rib here on Fridays. Life could be worse tbh“

“I really like this pho place and come here quite often. In my opinion, it’s one of the best value-for-money pho spots in the area. The interior has a very classic, old-school Vietnamese vibe, which I really enjoy.

The staff are super friendly and welcoming, and the food is very filling for the price. The large pho portions are huge. My husband and I can barely finish one bowl, and there’s always a lot left.

The spring rolls are delicious, especially with the slightly sweet dipping sauce. The chicken is tender and flavorful, very authentic. Overall, a great spot and definitely worth supporting.“

“This place makes the best Tonkatsu ramen (and probably the best ramen period) of 5 different joints I tried in my area including 3go, Ramen Mik, Mirin Cafe, Akita restaurant. The broth tastes the best and they have a special marinated soft boiled egg that no other place knows how to do (so good I order an extra egg). I get mine with chashu (grilled pork) which is also superior in flavor and preparation than all the other places. If you want Japanese ramen, look no further.“

“Very good mini tacos, had that pollo asada and carne asada. Both were stuffed with meat and yummy. Tried to order mini fish taco but they only serve full size. It also was good, cream was a little on the sweet side which was unusual. They only serve bottled water which was disappointing. Overall, would go again.“

I initailly wanted to call it a sandwich but it was way better than that - warm and melty with a jalepeno and creamy kick! Way better than just a sandwich. I also had a pineapple smoothie with and orange juice base - YUM!
