“It was about noon as I left my Doctors office and feeling a little hungry. I say Pegah’s Kitchen next door and gave it a try. The staff were all very professional. I had their Italian omelette and if I had to rate it on a one to 10 scale with 10 being the best, I would give it a 12. This is the Vista location. Highly recommend this place for breakfast and lunch, as they are not open for dinner.“

“Little Miss was recommended to us by one of the Midway volunteers in San Diego. We checked out this location as it was close to our hotel, and loved the vibes! This one is USSR themed (each one has a different WWII theme). Helpful bartenders, great beer, and friendly patrons.“

“This is a very small space with limited seating, but it is also one of the few places I will stand in line. Handcrafted food made to order, and delicious. I have only had the bean and cheese burrito, and it was so well seasoned! This is not a two hands burrito, but well worth it!“

“Been coming to Rock ‘n’ Jenny’s since it opened. My favorite hero sandwich. There are other very good sandwich shops, but this place’s sandwiches are unique, from the bread to the condiment combinations. I always go there with very high expectations, usually by salivating in anticipation. Honestly. Going there today, three hours from now. So looking forward to the food and experience.“

“LOVE going to Mia Marie’s for an afternoon with friends. The atmosphere and view are incredible and the wine is fabulous. On weekends they have live music and wine vendors and we never feel like they’re so busy we have a “2 hour table limit”. Their staff is all incredibly sweet and knowledgeable and the tasting events are fantastic. We stay, we drink, we hang, we enjoy the scenery and music, and it’s always an amazing time.“

“My husband and I were on our way home from San Diego and wanted something delicious for lunch. I Googled “best restaurants in Escondido” and H Bros was on the list with a 4.7 ratings. Well it should be a 5 in our opinion! Starting with the young man who greeted us…..happily answered questions we had about the menu, gave us ice water and offered us to have a seat to review the menu before ordering at the counter. After we ordered and got our food (Philly cheesesteak sandwiches and homemade potato chips) we were checked on twice by the nice young man and a pleasant young lady! The food was amazing! We could tell that they put a lot of effort into preparation and it was served hot! We will be returning in the future!“

“Such a hidden gem, especially for families! 🍷🌿 Rancho Guejito Winery is a great place to spend a Sunday. They have kids’ arts & crafts, a bouncy house, free hayrides, live music, and plenty of space for the kids to enjoy themselves while the adults relax.

The wine is great, there’s delicious food, and the whole atmosphere is laid-back and family-friendly. It’s one of those places where you can easily spend a few hours enjoying the beautiful setting while there’s something for everyone to do. Definitely worth checking out for a fun Sunday with the family!“

“I had an absolutely delicious iced matcha latte at Blue Mug yesterday. The matcha flavor was superb and it was perfect for the heat wave. The bathroom was clean, and the staff was friendly. “Lovely outdoor seating, staff was knowledgeable, and the wines are delectable and smooth. They are dog friendly for outdoor seating but be warned, there are three winery dogs who roam free; so don’t bring dog reactive dogs here. Otherwise, this is a fantastic winery to visit. They offer small shareable plates to snack on. Kids are welcome but they have to stay inside in a side room (that’s all glass walls so easy to spot). Parking lot is stone and there’s a narrow road to get in so drive slow. Overall, great for tasting or a lovely afternoon“

“I recently had a fundraising event and Sunny Side was such a great choice for catering. After I sent an email, I got a call back and we walked through the order and right sized it. The guests really enjoyed an artichoke quiche, strawberry chicken salad and three types of mini cookies. Everyone raved about the food. It was all packaged up to be easy to serve. “On a recent visit to the San Diego/Escondido area, we ate at Craft and Taco Lounge. Since I’m vegan, it was my pick for dinner, and the Vegan Pastor ended up being my favorite. It was so good that I went back the next evening for takeout. I’ve had tacos across Texas and Mexico, and these were among the best I’ve had.“

“As someone with a soy and sesame allergy, it’s hard to find places to eat that can accommodate. Elmisa Cafe easily accommodated my allergens- their bread comes certified soy and sesame free from the baker- and their ingredients are fresh! Try the Rula, you won’t regret it!“

“I must say. This is one of those special places in Escondido. Long known for their spectacular fresh seafood specialities. They also have options for those who like land animal varieties as well. I had a remainder of a gift card balance bequeathed to me to obtain dinner for the night. I tried ordering online but the online merchant payment API didn't tie into their internal gift card balance ledger. I called in and placed an order over the phone for the Waygu Burger Medium Well. I picked it up and it was ready. A very nice hostess in gorgeous black and gold metallic accents greeted me as she was doing the most important chore of the entire operation. Roll ups! She quickly assisted with tracking down my order and helping to process the gift card balance. I felt so effused I left the reminder of four dollars and change as thanks for her superior service. My mom loves this place and now I know why. Drink up me hearties Yo HO!!!!“

“We weren't sure when we first walked in but, oh my, what a pleasant surprise! We shared the "Torres" Skyscraper, an EXCELLENT ceviche dish with all the things in the mix! Then each had a taco (okay, I had 2). We did a battered fish, a battered shrimp and a grilled shrimp taco and they were all delicious. Our server was Greg who was very friendly and attentive, even when a bunch of to-go orders came in at once. All in all it was a great experience, we've added them to our Google Maps route so we'll be back!“

“This is the only place to eat in the mall. It’s healthy, Whole Foods, no processed food. And it’s tasty. I get the pioneer plate with chicken, beef and Gyro, and add rice or not depending on my health goals. Anyway, if you care about your self and loved ones, stay away from the other places here and get Pioneer! Also I love I can run through the field and park to get there. Great spot!“

“I really like this pho place and come here quite often. In my opinion, it’s one of the best value-for-money pho spots in the area. The interior has a very classic, old-school Vietnamese vibe, which I really enjoy.

The staff are super friendly and welcoming, and the food is very filling for the price. The large pho portions are huge. My husband and I can barely finish one bowl, and there’s always a lot left.

The spring rolls are delicious, especially with the slightly sweet dipping sauce. The chicken is tender and flavorful, very authentic. Overall, a great spot and definitely worth supporting.“
