“Some of the best ice cream I have ever had is served here at Handels. They had at least 30 different types of ice cream and so many cones. The serving size was SO big. My two sons ordered a two scoop in a dipped waffle cone bowl, and got served a 5 scoop and the cone was 3 times as big as it was in the picture. The service was also great. The girl who took our order gave a lot of recommendations and it was quick.“

“We visited Carlsbad in 2023 and of course fell in love but one of my favorite memories was waking up early in the morning, sun still hadn’t popped out, it was foggy but the temperature was already perfect. My daughter and I walked to Interim Coffee while listening to the waves crashing in. We absolutely loved the coffee shop and the vibe and yes of course the coffee was great too. Got back to our Airbnb just in time to watch dolphins swimming. Might seem like no big deal but it was such a great memory and one we still talk about.“

She put my drinks and ticket to the side. When I returned she was helping someone else, but recognized me and passed me over the cups and reciept and sent me off with a smile. The three sisters that run it are amazing women that take pride in their work always so uplifting and with a smile on there faces. If you haven’t tried this place what are you waiting for. “We had a luncheon here after my husband’s funeral. We booked a banquet room for 75-100 people. Gwen was amazing! The room, the tables, service, bartender & the food, everything was perfect. We added a few pizzas when we got there & again, it was no problem. This was a really tuff day for our family and friends and Ciao’s team, especially Gwen, helped us to celebrate a beautiful man and a life well lived. Highly recommend for your special event.

“I got strawberry french toast w/mixed berry drizzle, eggs over-med and crispy bacon. Made as requested, to my liking. The restaurant is very clean, the berries fresh. Delicious & Very pleased! Dropped my car at Discount Tire & it was only an 8 minute walk. Highly recommend for breakfast or lunch.“

I just stopped by with my son, and he had the best turkey, bacon, and avocado sandwich. It was so good, made with fresh ingredients, and the lady at the register was super nice. I can’t wait to come back“

“Smallish restaurant with tiny parking lot of about 10 spots shared between 3 businesses. Like the roll up garage door windows, lots of outdoor picnic bench seating under shade canopies (which we couldn't use on this rainy day). Beer selection is pretty good, we had the meat lovers 12 inch pizza and liked the thin crispy crust, a bit skimpy on the toppings but tasty enough.

Parking: I think 10 spots between 3 (?) businesses in this very small strip mini mall.“
