It's like going to a good friends home and eating a meal, familiar and relaxing! Their salmon chowder to die for!!! Never a cold sandwich!!! I love this! Homemade everything! Carrot cake, what to say..utterly amazing!!! Prices so so reasonable for what you get!! The servers are a family and they treat you like family! You must go to Yellow Deli!! “Tried the penne alla vodka (switched penne with Spaghetti) and Rigatoni alla Boscaiola. Both of them are very good, creamy and flavorful.

Tiramisu is very good and perfect, and it tasted like home made with a balance of cream and bread. The strawberry cheesecake gelato is a must try too!!“

“Our favorite local winery! And our only current wine club membership (the wines are that good!). The tasting room with the outdoor seating area is chill and a great place to unwind and have a glass or two while listening to live music on the weekends. They have other fun events every month, too. Dog friendly and people friendly, too! The staff are so sweet and welcoming. We love that it’s off the beaten path and unexpected to find in an industrial area in Vista. Pit this one on your list to check out.“

“So fun! I loved this medieval-themed bar - John was my favorite bar maiden! There were lots of games to choose from, and they had a yummy selection of meads and ciders. I definitely recommend checking out AZ Trivia on Thursdays too! 🍻🏰“

“Shaks came recommended to us by our wedding photographer. Upon finding out they were Armenian Lebanese (same as my family!), we knew we would book with them. As we lived out of the country, our parents went to the menu tasting and had the time of their lives. They came back raving about the place and said we have to book. Totally didn't understand the assignment of narrowing down the menu items we should have on the big day, lol. but that's a testament to how good the food is (especially the fresh falafel). Andrew was so helpful on calls, as he is very busy and emails weren't the best method of communication, and answered all of our questions, worked within our parameters and with a ton of integrity. The team was a delight on the day of and worked their tails off in the kitchen with a smile and in front of the guests. The food was a hit with the guest and I am still thinking about the garlic that I'm sure I smelled like on the wedding night because I just couldn't get enough, lol. The leftovers were awesome to have and to share with guests, too. We will be visiting Shak's when we're in the area as a nostalgia trip!!“

Horchata oatmeal water ( the best ) . Fruit salads are very delicious as well. People you should give it a try, you won’t regret it.“

The food was outstanding, homemade, authentic, and made with so much love. If you’re looking for a place to celebrate a family milestone, I highly recommend Nucci’s. Huge thank you to Maria and Mike for an unforgettable night, everyone is still raving about the dinner!“

“I was very surprised by this place and its food. The calamari was fried just perfect and the Greek Salad was wonderful which had just enough feta cheese unlike other places.

The manager on Friday was very welcoming to our group of 10 and very accommodating, he also personally took care of us. We sat outside on the picnic tables, the evening weather was just perfect and the music was jamming.

Our group will definitely be returning for another fun evening. 🍕🥗🍺“

“We had a delicious and wonderful experience at Giovanettis. We were welcomed in to the restaurant with a smile and friendly Hostess who later went over the daily specials with passion. Her passion for the food and the description of each dish was inspiring.
Our server was great - turned us on to a delicious wine from Sicily which was surprisingly reasonably priced. I had the Salmon alla checca. Wow was this delicious! The Salmon was cooked perfectly and the pasta had a fresh tomato, garlic, basil topping, light on the oil. This was a perfect dish. Prior to the pasta we started with a salad and bread - The salad was fresh, crisp, flavorful with a yummy light dressing and the bread was served with real butter, not whipped or altered just real butter - delicious.
Service was impeccable and the food outstanding. We are new regulars!“

“This Handel's location is so perfect, as my kids have frequented it after we've watched shows at the AVO, as well as when they were actual performers at the AVO. That being said, the line can get pretty long after a performance. However, the staff moved through customers quickly, and our latest cashier, Briana, was so kind. She made sure we felt important and apologized for the long line (even though it wasn't her fault). She was patient when my youngest still could not decide on a treat even after waiting for so long. She made the stress a mom could feel after the experience in a long line with young ones feel minimal with her empathetic care for us. Handel's is lucky to have her representing their business. And I would recommend coming to this Handel's whenever you come to downtown Vista and watch a show at the AVO.“

“The horchata latte tastes amazing!! This coffee hut is so cute and the drinks are made quickly even with a line of cars, efficiently, and with consistency. We visited this hut a couple times during our recent trip and absolutely loved it. We'll be coming here when we're back in Vista. Go support local!!“

“I stopped in here for a sandwich. I got the Reuben and a side of fries. This is a delightful spot. It’s like the 90s in the best possible way. The only thing that was missing in the atmosphere was music. I feel like they should lean into that and maybe have a 90s playlist to add to the vibe. My Reuben was perfect-a classic diner sandwich very tasty and so were the fries. The service was friendly and efficient. Ample seating, a perfect little area out front (curbside) counter seating and more tables inside. I bet this place is a local favorite. I’ll def go back!“

“Beautiful location right in the heart of Downtown Vista. They have amazing beers and the almost nightly dancing is so much fun. Comedy nights are always a blast too. I always meet the nicest people here. 10/10“

“OMG!!! The food is amazing! Hard to find (because there's no sign outside and it's actually inside the Chevron Food Mart)
...but it's worth the work to find it!
The barbacoa Taco was one of the best things I've ever eaten!
(It's made from lamb meat and as a Greek, I know good lamb ...and this is some of the best!).
The owner is an absolute sweetheart, and gave me a complementary Aguas Frescas to try. The green one was out of this world yummy!
I will be here many more times.

When they opened another spot in downtown Vista, I visited there often. When friends come into town, I make it a pint to take them there.“
