“Shout out to Mac Williamson for his help in updating my logo and hooking me up with a company that provided a table runner quickly and inexpensively. Now I'm ready to exhibit at the SD Festival of Books!“

“I’m really grateful to Carruth Cellars for accommodating us on such short notice. We had planned my sister’s wedding shower as a beach potluck, but when it started raining, we had to quickly find an alternative—and they were kind enough to let us come in and bring our own food and drinks, which truly saved the day.
That said, it was definitely a lively environment. The space was quite busy and loud, which made it a little challenging for a more intimate gathering. There were also a lot of children running around, which felt a bit unexpected for a winery setting.
Overall, we really appreciated their flexibility and hospitality during a stressful situation, even if the atmosphere wasn’t exactly what we had envisioned for the event.“

“So many things I enjoyed about my first experience at this place. The only thing I wished was different is how loud it was inside. The bacon pork belly dish was the best I've ever had it was amazing. The sauce with it and how you could cut it with a fork was so surprising. I had the filet mignon with their homemade steak sauce. I only used a little bit of it because their steak was so good on its own. I did the pickled onion rings just cuz I have never had that before. I ended up being very big onion rings in the flavor was indeed different because of the pickling. I thought it a was fun change on the ordinary. The servers were genuinely nice and very helpful with my questions on the menu and what would go well together.“
“Very chill spot with extremely friendly service and quality brews. They have indoor and outdoor seating, some fun games including card games you can use, huge jenga, and a few other ways to spend your time. They often have food vendors serving up freshly-prepared food out back, and do a fun trivia on Wednesdays. Nice variety of beers on tap, though my one wish is that they'd try a bigger IPA/DIPA. Apparently the owner and brewer disagree with this philosophy in this neighborhood, but we'll agree to disagree. I'll keep coming back; it's a great place to close out a workday on my laptop or expose my shameful lack of trivia knowledge.“

“Great local spot in Encinitas! Service was friendly and the food was great! Outdoor dining was nice, they had heaters for cold days and an umbrella when the sun is out! We got their special Benedict and it was tasty. I also enjoyed their Bloody Mary, wish I had a picture! Definitely stop by on the weekend and enjoy!“

“What a find!!!! Like being in Italy , sans the commute. Food was on point...meatballs to die for. Lowkey , judge an Italian restaurant by their meatballs quality..10 out of 5 stars 🌟 for the service...all the staff we encountered was even Italian!“
“I had a 20 person event catered by Chef Patrick and it was phenomenal! Everything was wonderful. He and his staff were super attentive and fun to talk to. Really an amazing experience. Need to find an excuse now to host another Sushi event!!“

“Solid breakfast/brunch options! They have pancakes and French toast with vegan batter as an option. I got these burritos that originally come with chicken but I substituted with tofu instead without cheese and it was superb. Coconut French toast is to die for. *Addendum* I came the next day because it was so good and didn't realize they had a vegan breakfast burrito with soyrizo, vegan egg and vegan cheese. “Truly fantastic coffee. I’m a New Yorker and truthfully Californians just don’t seem to do coffee well. Drip coffee seems to have America in a chokehold and getting a great espresso or any derivative of such (cortado, flat white, etc.) is worthless. We happend upon Lofty coffee and my boyfriend ordered the cortado. It came out perfect. To describe it in words would do it an injustice but I will still attempt: the espresso itself was so smooth and mixed with the milk perfectly - there was no separation at all. The milk was delicate - steamed but not airy nor watered down. The whole drink experience was so velvety - almost like sipping straight warmed cream. Truly I’ve never experienced anything like it.
I’m a daily coffee drinker and am deeply heartbroken I can’t have a Lofty’s cortado daily at home. Thank you for the wonderful experience.“

“We were looking for a quick bite to eat that was dog friendly & this spot came up. We went in blind without reading reviews or anything & it was really such a pleasant surprise!
The place is small, but cute. The inside is clean. The menu is easy to navigate & everything seems fairly priced. The women behind the counter were very friendly & seemed to be having a good day.
There are some chairs & benches outside, which is nice. Water on the patio for dogs & people. The back picnic bench could use an umbrella or some kind of shade, but that's my only critique.
The food exceeded our expectations! Everything was fresh & flavorful with generous portions. The sausage tasted like it was made fresh, it was so delicious & I don't usually eat meat!
We were really happy with everything we got & would go here again.
This place is a hidden gem & I would absolutely recommend it to anyone in the area!“

“We LOVE this bar! Everyone we know has a life-changing story that took place in this iconic bar. The staff is so friendly, the guests are charming and the drinks are cheap. Can you ask for anything more? Oh yeah! It’s literally a block from the beach.“

“The food was genuinely exceptional at T's, and there is a constant joyful energy lead by the employees. My family has been coming here for years, and we haven't had one bad meal or experience. There is something extraordinary about a family run restaurant. There is nothing better than the daytime happy hour, and my family loves to show up for their local performances they host. T's is a restaurant I will always come back to, and I know it is a great hit to bring your kids and have a fantastic meal.“
“If you are in the fashion district of Solana Beach or going to a concert at the Belly Up and are looking for great little Sushi place, go to Kai Ola Sushi! My wife and I were looking for a place to get some food prior to a concert at the Belly Up and came upon this great little restaurant. The vibe and atmosphere is very cool, the Sushi was delicious, and the service was great! The Sushi chef was very personable and friendly and even educated us on some of the Sushi rolls he was preparing, while we sat and ate at the Sushi bar.“

“$10 for a sandwich in this economy is an absolute steal. I got the fig, bacon, and brie panini, which was a perfect combination after a hike. There was a slight taste of ginger, which I was confused about. I wish it was a little bit warmer, but it would’ve been cold if I had taken it to the beach anyway (which was my original plan). There are some really cute picnic benches outside and free water inside.“

“We came here on a Sunday after a family wedding the night before. 17 out of town family members from 4 states. It was fantastic! The staff was great and the relaxed atmosphere was was exactly what we needed. Aaron at the taps made sure the cold beer was flowing while the kitchen cooked up some amazing pizza! Thank you to everyone at Pizza Port Solana Beach!“

“I ordered sashimi at the sushi bar for lunch also had 2 piece Ikura (salmon roe) and a soft shell crab appetizer. Fish was very fresh it was obvious since they were still breaking it down in front of me. 2 guys on the sushi bar 3 in the back and one waitress. I was probably 2nd customer and only person at the bar. I got a weird look from waitress when I asked for the bar and she had to ask one of the guys if it was ok. I soon realized that it was not a real sushi bar after I looked at the menu and realized that they did not have sashimi on the menu.
When I go to a new place I usually order sashimi before I look at a menu because I know what I want.
The place filled up quick and the one waitress was running hard but the guys at the bar took care of me. Fresh fish good beer and sake I was very happy.
Music was very loud and irritating some kind of pop but the guys had no problem turning it down (they did not like it either).
I found it strange that they were pre-cutting the fish into slices but I guess if you are doing production that makes sense, I just have never seen it.
I read a lot of the reviews and part of the problem is people going to a sushi bar for something other than sushi. On the other hand if a restaurant is going to offer it it should be good.
Spent $120 after tip but it was at the coast on pch so location and all. Not to much more than my normal spot maybe $20 or so.
I was happy with my dining experience.“

“Love this place. We visit Solana Beach a few times a year and eat here. The food is really good as well as the service! I wish I had taken a picture but they did a beautiful job of decorating for our 250th Anniversary. Very patriotic! That made me want to go there! Sadly, didn't see enough of that on display. Kudos to Rustic Root! First Class all the way! They make a killer lemon drop martini!“

“We arrived at 9:30 and were seated in the patio right away. It was a beautiful morning perfect for eating outside. Plenty of shade so it was very comfortable. My quinoa Benedict was delicious, my wife enjoyed her avocado toast (superb). We love coming to Claire’s.“
