“This is our first time . I will say the breakfast was excellent. I had huevos rancheros, it was delicious. Highly recommend this place. My family loved their meal too. We will for sure be back soon.Kid-friendliness: My 12 year old and my 14 year old loved the food.“
“If you're looking for an authentic local experience, then this place is an absolute must-visit! You won't find a better way to immerse yourself in the local culture and get a true taste of the area. Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity!“
“Visiting Del Mar for a family event, we happened on the Broken Yolk cafe. It was Sunday at 11 am, seeing a small crowd waiting for a table boded well for a local favorite breakfast spot. The menu was extensive. We ordered eggs, Machaca and Heuvos Rancheros, both delish! My favorite part of the meal was the excellent service given by Geraldo. He was so welcoming and attentive, a giant thank you to him.“
“We don’t usually go out for breakfast (the easiest meal to make at home for 1/8th the cost & healthier, tastier dishes) but…we tried the Chiliquilles and memosa sampler and had a very tasty and filling meal (feeds two), wonderful service by Rocael at The Mira Mesa restaurant and a waitress even stopped by briefly for a human conversation. Walked away with full belly’s, a great experience and a nice little buzz. Will return if we can get Rocael and the nice waitress who was closer to our age (think post Logans Run). Sorry, love…didn’t catch your name. Would be GREAT if we could get the same choices as The PB restaurant!!“
“Honestly my favorite breakfast joint. All the food here is great and tastes awesome. My personal favorite is the Pork Belly Benny. Service is hit or miss. I've been coming here for a long time and while most waiters are decent there are some that very unpleasant/rude. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place. Soooo much better than Broken Yolk Cafe or similar breakfast/lunch spots. Snooze is a chain, but it doesn't feel corporate and the food doesn't taste it either. Highly recommend!“
“Potato Shack is a favorite of our kids because of their gigantic pancakes. Lots of fun. Otherwise the food is OK. The eggs are consistently overcooked (I know that’s a matter of taste, but it’s all scrambled hard) and everything else of ok. Lovely “veteran forward” atmosphere and a longstanding local fave. If gigantic pancakes are your thing, go. If not, there are better made breakfasts to be had within a 5 min drive.“
“My wife and I had two delicious sandwiches, and their coffee was great as well. The place was packed when we were there, and we had to wait for a table, but it was well worth the wait. It is conveniently located in a strip mall in Carlsbad with an ample parking lot outside. Give them a try.. you'll be happy you did!“
“Looking for the friendly restaurants that are dog friendly? Patio space is open and inviting. Food is good and service was timely! The Vanilla Matcha Tea Latte was delicious, not sweet. Breakfast Snooze classic and Sam I am are our go to favorites!“
“The ordering downstairs is great. Food is simple. The condiment bar and the upstairs seating with the view is wonderful. Fairly busy when we went and they didn’t have the vegan pancakes which I was really bummed about but the tofu scramble was good. Wish the kids meals had side options. The apples with the cheese pasta noodles was interesting and the portion was fairly small so if you have a kiddo with a larger appetite maybe get an adult entree. But overall nice spot. Great location. Would recommend trying at least once for the experience!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian safe for sure. Wish more vegan options.Kid-friendliness: There is a kids menu and crayons at the condiment bar.“
“Place has some of the best hashbrowns around. I ordered a santa fe omelet, pancakes, eggs and a strawberry crepe. Every item was cooked perfectly. The eggs were nice and fluffy. The bacon was crispy and delicious. Definitely worth trying out.Parking: Over 400 spaces behind Whole Foods.“
“I eat bagels way more than I should and I know that everyone has.different tastes in bagels but I promise, you will not be disappointed with inglorious bagels. I just had their cheese bagel toasted with cream cheese and sliced tomatoes and it was a 10/10.“
“This is a very nice pancake house and you can't go wrong with any of the breakfast items. I assume their strong suit is breakfast but I suspect the lunch options could also be quite decent. The omelette and waffles I got were great, but the one thing I absolutely recommend getting is the pancakes, even if it's just the plain version of it.“
“Came here for brunch and immediately was sat. Our server was kind and helpful in food recommendations. I Loved the atmosphere because it felt very traditional and homey. The jambalaya was absolutely amazing and I didn't expect it to be so good for a breakfast spot. The French toast was perfect to satisfy my sweet tooth. Overall I had a really pleasant experience and would definitely go back to try out more dishes.“
“The food is just spectacular. Not to mention their service. We were celebrating my nieces 6th birthday and she enjoyed every moment of it. This place is kid and pet friendly just like most restaurants in San Diego. Definitely coming back here when I visit.“
“Very nice atmosphere, sparkling clean, had poached eggs on english muffin very good, husband had delish mile high omelette, very good. Main complaint for the pancakes which were delicious no pure maple syrup. They had the kind that was thick, not pure maple, no maple flavor. We asked for a senior menu and never brought one. I still recommend this restaurant.“
“My wife and i went here on the recommendation of some friends. We met some other friends there. The food was really good. We all loved our breakfasts. It was quiet enough to have a conversation without feeling like you were yelling. The staff was very friendly. The food came out a bit slow, but we didn't care because we were catching up. I would definitely recommend this place if you aren't in a big hurry. We will definitely be back with others in tow.Dietary restrictions: They seemed to be very flexible on menu changes, there was also food to order.Parking: There is a nice big free parking structure just next door. We were there on a Sunday morning so this could be different on a Friday afternoon.“
“The coconut nutella French toast with bruleed bananas was the best thing I’ve had in a while and I’m still dreaming about it. The salmon Benedict was also top tier. Generous portions of smoked salmon and the hollandaise sauce was just perfect!“
“The ambiance is adorable, spacious and comfortable. The service is always in a hurry but that's great. They get you what you need. The food........consistency is key and they got it down. Yes, the pancakes are amazing and you will write home about it but everything else is delicious as well so don't limit yourself to just pancakes but do get some.“
“We loved it here so much! The food was delicious and the creative plates allowed us to try some new things. They are so pet friendly! They have a menu just for dogs and allow dogs to sit outside on their large outside seating area. We were so pleased with the service and taste and quality of food. We were able to get a seat quickly even on a weekend.Vegetarian options: There are many sweet and savory options for vegetarians and they will accommodate and make changes to meals if needed.Parking: There is a small free parking lot behind the restaurant but not large enough for a truck. We ended up parking across the street and paying for parking.Kid-friendliness: There were lots and lots of babies here. I’m not sure it offers a lot for toddlers but families seemed very comfortable here.“
