“Yesterday my friends and I went to your restaurant. I tried brioche French toast (banana foster 🍌 with strawberries 🍓 and whipped cream). WOW 😲! It was very delicious 😋, well-flavored, light, spongy, melt in your mouth, irresistible 😁, and heavenly 😇. I loved it 🥰. And sugar free vanilla latte, very good 😊 and comforting ☺️. Your restaurant is amazing 🤩 and peaceful. You have a great service 😃. Your employer is kind and courteous. I hope you in other occasion.“

“We Googled “best breakfast in San Diego” and Hanna’s popped up, so we figured, why not? Lucky enough to find parking on Adams Ave and, even better, no wait to get seated.
We tried the carrot pancakes, vegetarian omelet with mushrooms (with a little not-so-vegetarian bacon), and the green chilaquiles. All three were really good, with plenty of flavor and satisfying portions. The waitress and the rest of the staff were genuinely friendly, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable. Definitely a spot we’d happily come back to for breakfast!“

“Good food, I got the French toast and a danish. The prices here were fair compared to the surrounding breakfast places and the service was great. I would come back solely based on the service, the gentlemen working were very nice and all greeted everyone in the building with a smile. The cafe is located in the back of the big building, super easy to find once we looked at the prior reviews.“

“We love this cafe!!
We always make a point to go when we are in San Diego for over 16 years now.
Sadly something happened to the cinnamon rolls. My husband always gets the cinnamon roll French toast and if we don't order rolls for the table, and make a point to take some home. They were always incredibly good, delicious and fresh but I don't know if the recipe changed, but they were not that good.
Hopefully next time we visit, they will be.“

“We came here for breakfast and had a wonderful experience. The French toast was absolutely delicious, and the açaí bowl was just as good. Everything tasted fresh and beautifully prepared.
The café has a calm, welcoming atmosphere, and the owners are incredibly kind and friendly. A great place to start the day, and definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.“

“This cafe and Juice bar STOLE our hearts! A MUST when in San Diego and La Jolla. I mean, WOOOOWWW! We were able to sneak in a quick breakfast before our whale tour at the Little Italy location, and thank goodness we did! My only regret is not visiting every single day for their exceptional breakfast and high-quality juices! I ordered the All I Avo Wanted - Blue corn, waffle, smashed avocado, feta, shaved radish, over easy egg, chili flakes, hemp seeds, salsa macha. I mean, holy moly. The delivery was beautifully executed and built perfectly. The blue corn waffle was moist yet firm. My mother ordered the Shakshuka - another favorite dish of mine that WOWed. You can not go wrong with Parakeet. Thank you to the divine chefs and baristas - you made Parakeet the most beloved restaurant during our time in California!!!“

“Wonderful breakfast and drinks. I tried the birria chilaquiles and the pancakes 🥞 as well as the whiskey sunny Side Up cocktail (the presentation is top tier). I was served by the server in training and she did a great job too. Wouldn't have guessed she was training if she didn't tell me lol. Overall recommend, chill vibes, cool aesthetic and great flavors.“

“I just recommend this place to everyone, delicious, unpretentious and hearty food. It has been my favorite place in OB for breakfast for over several decades. I even brought homesick recruits from Naval Training Center San Diego for breakfast and a bit of home style. Never have been disappointed.“

“Loved this place! A no frills breakfast place that serves delicious breakfast is just what this area needed. Crispy bacon, perfectly cooked eggs, great pancakes, and automatically came with cheesey potato’s. Generous portions but left not feeling too heavy. Great and quick service. I loved it, this will be my new go to breakfast spot.“

“Food was very good, never felt rushed even though they were busy. Buffet had plenty of options, great for the kids, and anyone on a time crunch. Includes eggs made to order along with coffee and juice. The Grains and Greens bowl I had was very tasty, as was the burrito our table ordered. Now we can conquer the day in beautiful La Jolla.“

“Fay’s Diner and Cafe was such a cute little spot and I really enjoyed my visit.
The atmosphere was warm, casual, and comfortable. It had that nice local diner feel where you can just come in, sit down, and enjoy a good meal without feeling rushed.
The portions were really good too. I definitely felt like I got a nice amount of food for the price, and everything was filling without feeling overdone.
I also liked that the place felt relaxed and easy. Sometimes the best places are the ones that are simple, welcoming, and consistently good, and that was the feeling I got here.
Overall, Fay’s Diner and Cafe was a great stop. Cute atmosphere, good portions, and a nice place to grab a meal. I would definitely come back again if I was in the area.“
