“Clean and bright with plenty of indoor seating, great service and a hands on manager. A women owned business and it shows in the attention to details. My wife had a Tamarindo Margarita and i had an alcohol free beer and both were exceptional. I had the three taco platter with Vegan, Barbacoa, and Mushroom Asada Black Beans and Rice while my wife opted for a Gabacha and a Baja Taco and the Churro Ice Cream Sandwich for dessert. Love it and going bach for Taco Tuesday and a Brunch soon.“

“Stopped by Ferchaladas Birria & Mariscos and really enjoyed it. We tried the birria tacos and the octopus. The birria tacos were really good, but the octopus was definitely my favorite. It was cooked perfectly and full of flavor.

The place has a great local vibe, and the food was fresh and came out quickly. Just a heads up, they only accept cash or Venmo, so come prepared. Parking can be a little difficult depending on the time of day, but it's definitely worth it once you try the food.

“So stoked they have vegan rolled tacos! I tried both the potato and the lentil quinoa. Both are delicious, but the lentil quinoa ones blew me away!! 🙌🏽👏🏽👏🏽 They are so flavorful and the tortillas are crispy and crunchy, yet not hard. Also awesome is that they pack everything separately so the food isn’t a soggy mess when you get home. I added vegan sour cream I had at home and topped it with their guacamole, lettuce and salsa. They were heavenly!! I also appreciate that they fry their vegan tacos in a separate fryer. 🙌🏽Also, thank you for not using styrofoam. The containers for the to go orders are compostable made of plant fiber. The place is beautifully decorated, clean, and the staff were very courteous. I will definitely return. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

Chicken was tender, seasoned well, the chili was crispy, the red sauce was delicious. Here from AZ to hit the beach and found this place on Google. And a shout out to Bobby, he took care of a minor issue immediately. Great customer service too.“

“What a fantastic discovery in San Diego. Everything we ordered was prepared perfectly and tasted incredibly fresh.

The tacos were packed with flavor, and I especially loved the generous amount of cilantro and onions on top. It is rare to find a place that puts this much care into their presentation.

“Random find close to the beach. Went with family for my dad's birthday. Very relaxed atmosphere and calm dining experience. Six people in our party, and everybody had something different. Everyone of my party enjoyed their plates, and hitting the end of happy hour, their drinks as well. Very reasonably priced as well. We will definitely go back in the future.“

“South of Nick's, located in One Paseo, is a great restaurant with a great selection of Mexican cuisine. The delicious, not-overly-salty tortilla chips are served with beans and mild and hot salsas. I highly recommend ordering the fresh guacamole for the table to share; it's a great complement to the chips. It was difficult to choose an entree, but I went with the El Vaquero. The steak was cooked perfectly, with the enchilada being the best I've had in San Diego. It also came with filet taquitos, guac, and refried beans, all of which were wonderful. I highly recommend South of Nick's for your next dinner out, regardless of your party size.“

We got breakfast burritos (subbed ham for the bacon) and it was delicious! Could easily split one burrito between two people.

My friend also got an asada plate the day before which clued us into the GREAT portions and the fresh made tortillas.

We got chicken rolled tacos with Guac and cheese on the side. Probably 1/3 cup of Guac which is nice!

“This place is one of the best hidden gems in SD! I live nearby and this has quickly become me and my roommate’s favorite local spot. All of the food I’ve tried so is incredible, but I have to say that their carnitas specifically is the best I’ve ever had in San Diego. I also love their carne asada and their agua frescas are super good and perfect for this heat!

Also, the staff is incredibly friendly which makes going there such a wonderful experience. They have a great outdoor seating area as well where you can enjoy your food. Overall this place just has amazing ambiance with great music, great vibes, and great food!

“This place is the best! We’re from Colorado and we found this place three years ago when we were visiting. We’ve dreamt about their fish and shrimp tacos ever since, so we make it a point to stop by whenever we’re in San Diego. This last trip was no different. We even went twice this year because they recommended their garlic and butter fish and shrimp tacos and they’re to die for (along with everything else we’ve had). While they do have outdoor seating available, we ate in our car because we had our pup with us. When we went back, they even said they remembered us. Everyone is super friendly and welcoming, the place is clean and the food is tasteful. We just wish they would bring their truck to Denver so we could have them more often!“
