“Finding a restaurant that pleases everyone in the family can be a challenge, but this place knocked it out of the park for my wife, daughter, and me. From the warm, attentive service to the generous, perfectly sized portions, everything was dialed in from start to finish.
The food and drinks completely stole the show:
* Fish Tacos: Absolutely spot-on. Instead of heavy batter overpowering the taco, they let the fish take center stage—light, fresh, and perfectly seasoned.
* Caldo de 7 Mares: Rich, comforting, and packed with tender seafood in an authentic, deeply flavorful broth.
* Rice & Beans: Far from an afterthought—flavorful, fresh, and the perfect complement to the mains.
* Aguas Frescas: Incredibly refreshing. We tried the Mango, Cucumber, and Jamaica, and each one hit that rare sweet spot—not overly sugary and not too tart.
Our palates left very happy, and we are already looking forward to our next visit. A standout spot for fresh, honest seafood and fantastic drinks done right. Highly recommended!“

“Been coming here since I was a kid vs Saritas. Saritas is good, sure but these guys cook like they like you personally and want you to enjoy your meal 🤣. I just know when I order my foods gonna be so delicious like, granted I usually order California burrito or fries/ nachos. And rolled tacos. I would just ask y'all to add some garlic and a bit more salt to the guacamole. Also I've ordered a breakfast burrito, they're loaded up with protein and soo good.“

“Went early Sat evening, about 5:15. Place was spacious and clean. We ordered at the counter, then took our seats. The hostess was very nice, very attentive. Brought the food to our table. We had fish tacos and a carnitas platter. The food was good, portions generous, We'll be back.“

I ordered a bean and cheese burrito with French fries and dined in. The total was $9.15. Overall, I wasn’t very impressed.

The burrito was on the smaller side, and the filling-to-tortilla ratio could have been better. There was more tortilla than I would have liked, and the tortilla itself was a little overcooked. The hot sauce was okay flavor-wise, but it was very watery.

It wasn’t a bad meal, but it also wasn’t one that stood out or made me want to come back. For the price, I was expecting a little more in terms of portion and overall quality.“

“We've used them twice now, first time was for the 4th of July and second was for my husbands holiday party. The tacos are consistently good, love the tortillas & the salsa is BOMB! It's HOT but it's BOMB! Maria is so nice and easy to work with, we cannot wait to use them again!“

“I have been coming to this restaurant for over 25 years. They have the best shrimp burrito I have ever had. After joining the military I would seek out a better shrimp burrito and never found one. Now that I live 500 miles away, I have made it a tradition to come and have a shrimp burrito at this location. It never disappoints, the best, same delicious recipe. Great family that runs it.“

“Grew up down the street from this place in the early/mid 90s and it was my family's favorite spot. I still stop here every time im in town and it's still as excellent as it's always been and hasn't lost an ounce of its spark - the food is excellent and has always been consistent.“

“My husband and I got their fruit salad they're very well portioned and fresh. The pollo en mole and costillas are really good it tasted homemade. I didn't get a chance to take pictures of those we just started eating right away, I just wish they had handmade tortillas that would make this place so much better. We're definitely coming back to try the rest“

To the comments saying it’s expensive, majority of taco shops are raising their prices due to rent costs. Restaurants are closing every day cause they can’t keep up with rent. Give them a break.“

“A surprisingly pleasant experience. This was a Sunday night around 8:45 pm. First time here and ordered the basic SD local order of carne asada fries. I ordered in, instead of to-go and it was a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Service was prompt and friendly. Ranchera music playing in the background and a few other patrons enjoying their meals. They clearly take the proper time and care to cook their meat because my asada came out incredibly juicy! My fries were perfectly cooked, not a single one undercooked. Their salsas are fantastic, with a good amount of heat with each flavor. Prices are about the average for San Diego, and well worth the price! I intend to come back and try out more of the menu.“

The portions were huge, everything tasted fresh, and the prices were solid for what you get. “I came here for lunch, the picture of the tacos looked bomb. Unfortunately the taco lady wasn’t there. Dillon who took my order was super helpful in recommending the torta he let me sample Panela cheese to see if I would like it, I got the vegetarian torta and was not disappointed. Dillon was nice enough to offfer me a sample of the strawberries con crema says his mom makes the cream fresh every morning. They were delicious but I opted for the fruit salad instead. It came with papaya, cantaloupe, honeydew melon,mango strawberries apples cottage cheese granola and honey. Everything was fresh and crisp the friendly service got me to stay, even though there is no restroom for customers, something g to consider if you’re a person who is looking for a lunch break and need a bathroom to relive yourself and wash your hands.“

“The food is good. But if you just walk in and order ? Be prepared to waite about 20 minutes for a couple Burritos. a lot of people call in these big orders, so you sit there and watch people walk in and pick up 4 bags of food ahead of you.“

Adobada, fish, and shrimp tacos are amazing! They have a Taco Tuesday deal where it's 2 for $4-5 for adobada tacos, and the fish / shrimp tacos were $1.75-$2.25

The quality + size of these tacos in this economy help me keep going at my job. I try to come as often as I can. I look forward to this every week. Highly recommended! Amazing salsa, pickled onions, single cup of soup, and beans are complimentary.

The taco chef and owner are incredibly kind and hospitable even though my husband and I don't speak Spanish. They're always patient and considerate with us as well.
