“The fact that you go to a restaurant and order lemonade and get freshly made natural from lemons 😱 means a lot to me. Which is very rare at restaurants in the USA. Been here 4 times and Joel has always been very attentive. Food is great, I highly recommend the aguachiles. The negro or verde are finger licking good! Good job guys!!!!“

“A surprisingly pleasant experience. This was a Sunday night around 8:45 pm. First time here and ordered the basic SD local order of carne asada fries. I ordered in, instead of to-go and it was a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Service was prompt and friendly. Ranchera music playing in the background and a few other patrons enjoying their meals. They clearly take the proper time and care to cook their meat because my asada came out incredibly juicy! My fries were perfectly cooked, not a single one undercooked. Their salsas are fantastic, with a good amount of heat with each flavor. Prices are about the average for San Diego, and well worth the price! I intend to come back and try out more of the menu.“

Adobada, fish, and shrimp tacos are amazing! They have a Taco Tuesday deal where it's 2 for $4-5 for adobada tacos, and the fish / shrimp tacos were $1.75-$2.25

The quality + size of these tacos in this economy help me keep going at my job. I try to come as often as I can. I look forward to this every week. Highly recommended! Amazing salsa, pickled onions, single cup of soup, and beans are complimentary.

The taco chef and owner are incredibly kind and hospitable even though my husband and I don't speak Spanish. They're always patient and considerate with us as well.

“Came in solo around 6:30pm and was able to grab a seat at the bar. They have a rotational menu based on locally sourced ingredient availability. Ordered the daily oysters (which were fantastic) and the grilled sea bass.

The service here is probably some of the most friendly/best I’ve experienced before. My sea bass was undercooked & the bartender went to check with the chef. She confirmed that was the case and asked to make sure I’d like them to remake it. While waiting, the hostess also came over to apologize and checked in to see if I needed anything else. The new fish came back much better, however I felt like the sauce was a little too salty and acidic to my taste (both times). Based on my experience I feel like they are the type of business to make things right if you are not satisfied

Looking at other reviews I think this would be a great place for drinks & apps.

“Martha was are server on friday the 10th. She is AMAZING! I have not been to a sizzler for over 30 years and my husband wanted to go. We sat down and with out a sec our server greeted us with the most infectious energy! She came over with our food and checked on us a lot, like in a good way! Everytime something sat down in front of us she would make sure it was perfect! We definitely had some small talk but she would be the reason we return! She made my family and I feel welcome and want to come back for the great food but really to see Martha!!“

I prefer this location, food is delicious and the prices are lower. My go to are the fish tacos, campechana cocktail and the Tamarindo michelada.“

“We had a nice meal here for my moms 80th birthday! The food was great and the service was amazing! They even let us bring our own cake! Our servers name was Dez and she went above and beyond! Our family has enjoyed Anthonys since I was a little kid, over 40 years! We love the atmosphere and will definitely keep coming back!“

“One of the best restaurants I’ve been to! We loved everything we tried on the menu, and were sad to hear it’s being discontinued for a new spring menu—especially the filet mignon, which was incredibly tasty.

Not only because it’s family run from San Diego it because the food is just so fantastic. I highly recommend the shrimp cocktail. Parking can be iffy so just drive around the neighborhood until you can find something. It’s worth it.“

“We have been HUGE a huge fan of a local crawfish restaurant for as long as they have been open, and have gone frequently over the years. Recently we have been looking to try some of the other crawfish places around. Not only did the Boxing Crab have flavorful sauces to choose from, top quality freshness, the best cooked crawfish we have had in a restaurant, (even better than our regular spot), and their service was wonderful! “Here we are again having another fabulous meal prepared for us. But's this time There was a party of maybe 6 women and they prefer to have the other entrance open so my wife froze her butt off for the whole meal it seems like it was below 0 degrees but all in all we still had a great meal. Maybe I should have said something to our waitress but I didn't want to upset the girls.“

“This place is the best! We’re from Colorado and we found this place three years ago when we were visiting. We’ve dreamt about their fish and shrimp tacos ever since, so we make it a point to stop by whenever we’re in San Diego. This last trip was no different. We even went twice this year because they recommended their garlic and butter fish and shrimp tacos and they’re to die for (along with everything else we’ve had). While they do have outdoor seating available, we ate in our car because we had our pup with us. When we went back, they even said they remembered us. “My family and I came in on Friday afternoon. Around 5:30pm. Immediately we were welcomed with a smile. Our waitress was Alma. She was attentive, kind and very sweet. The salsa and chips immwdiately told me they had good food. Salsa was house made and fresh and chips were perfect. We ordered several items and everything was fresh and delicious. I ordered fried fish but it was perfect! Sushi was great and their baja fish tacos are to die for. We will be back.“

“My family and I recently visited Joe's Crab Shack and had such an amazing experience! The Chef’s Choice Crab Boil is our absolute favorite, especially with the mild hot sauce. It has this perfect tangy flavor without being overly salty or spicy like some other crab boils, and the portion size is generous and super satisfying.
Their iced teas are also incredible, my personal favorite is the guava. So refreshing! Everything we tried just hit the spot.
I love this place because it really works for any mood or season (warm, comforting dishes for colder days, and lighter, filling options when it’s hot out). And if you’re into drinks, their tropical cocktails are absolutely refreshing.
The wait staff was on point, friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. It also looks like such a fun place to host a party.

“We ordered the shrimp tacos and chicken tacos. The shrimp tacos were so good my husband ordered more to go, then ate them in the car. They are battered, deep fried but the breading is thin and the shrimp are large. They also bring a tray of sauces so you can try whichever ones you want on your tacos. We will definitely visit again when we already in town.“
