Mabel's Gone Fishing is a restaurant offering a unique dining experience. The best spot in the house might be the four seats at the bar near the kitchen, where guests can watch the head chef and other chefs prepare dishes. Each dish receives incredible attention and effort.
The menu features unique seafood options, such as mussels escabeche, swordfish, and shrimp. The mussels are tender and flavorful, while the swordfish is perfectly cooked. The shrimp has a nice flavor and texture. However, the smoked potatoes were not distinctly smokey and could be unnecessary carbs. The clam toast has potential, but the clams were small and the sauce slightly salty.
The pea and ham salad, and the bass are recommended dishes. The chef's tasting menu provides a variety of food at a reasonable price. The beverage pairing is also reasonably priced, although not all pairings may perfectly match.
