“This is a cozy place that offers excellent food. Everything we had was excellent. The Sweet Corn and Pinion Soup, Patatas Bravas, Pork Adovada, and the New Mexico Mini Burger were all delicious. The dessert was out of this world. Chocolate Pots de Creme. Highly recommend making a reservation as this cozy place is very busy, but worth it.“

“I attended Juniper & Ivy for a small post-wedding reception. The space was nice and sectioned off from the rest of the restaurant, although it was loud at times because it’s separated by a curtain. It did still feel private, which was great. Although I was the photographer at this wedding, the staff was still super nice and was able to get me a vegetarian meal. They also let the couple bring in their own cakes, which was great! I’d recommend this spot for a smaller reception for sure.“

“Came in solo around 6:30pm and was able to grab a seat at the bar. They have a rotational menu based on locally sourced ingredient availability. Ordered the daily oysters (which were fantastic) and the grilled sea bass.

The service here is probably some of the most friendly/best I’ve experienced before. My sea bass was undercooked & the bartender went to check with the chef. She confirmed that was the case and asked to make sure I’d like them to remake it. While waiting, the hostess also came over to apologize and checked in to see if I needed anything else. The new fish came back much better, however I felt like the sauce was a little too salty and acidic to my taste (both times). Based on my experience I feel like they are the type of business to make things right if you are not satisfied

Looking at other reviews I think this would be a great place for drinks & apps.

“Incredible place! The food is absolutely exceptional! It's a shame they only work 4 days a week, because I would absolutely go there every morning! They're a non-profit, which is also really nice to see. We got the crepes and a breakfast sandwich, both of which were amazing! And you have to get the strawberry lemonade as well!“

“Absolutely fantastic experience at Osteria Cotto e Mangiato! The service from Andrea (owner) was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Every dish we ordered was incredible-from the rich, comforting Carbonara w/anchovies to the Captain's Treasure chest is unexplainable good, everything was cooked to perfection. You can really taste the quality and care in each bite. This place is a gem in San Diego for anyone craving authentic Italian cuisine. Oh, by the way, did I mention the Tiramisu... WOW!! “I’ve been here quite a few times, both on weekdays and weekends, and it’s easily my favorite cocktail bar in North Park. On my most recent visit, I ended up third-wheeling my friends’ date night 😅 after they invited me along. Since it was a weekday, the place was surprisingly quiet. I’m so used to seeing long waits and packed crowds here that it almost felt like a different bar. We started with a few shots and then moved on to cocktails. The Misa Misa was okay, and the Spirited Away was good, but my absolute favorite was the Heads Will Roll. It was delicious and probably one of the better cocktails I’ve had here. One thing I really appreciate about this place is how much thought goes into their signature drinks. The presentation, the flavors, even the glassware all feel intentional and unique. This was also the first time I tried their food. The truffle fries were absolutely delicious and paired perfectly with the drinks. We also ordered the vegetable gyoza, which was pretty good. My friends got the disco fries and seemed to really enjoy them. The only miss for us was the yakitori both the vegetable and New York strip skewers were both way too salty and ended up being our least favorite dishes of the night. Overall, I’d still give this place a solid 5/5 for cocktails and around a 4/5 for food. The drinks alone keep me coming back.“

“My first visit to Monkey Bar was a great experience. We ordered the chicken wings, crispy Brussels sprouts, and pretzels, enjoyed a few drinks, and relaxed around the fire pit. The atmosphere was inviting, making it the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy good food with great company. There was also a DJ.“

“I went as a solo traveler and sat at the bar. The staff was so sweet and friendly. They cleared extra space for me so I could order food (it is a pretty small bar area and I get the feeling food is not often served there) the house wine and eggplant parm were so good and again the staff were so mind and warm. “Glad I came in! The wait at An’s was so long I decided to grab a quick bite beforehand. Nomade was right next door and it was the perfect spot. They serve tapas and some main entrees and even a smash burger and fries if the Spanish cuisine isn’t what you are craving.

Service was excellent and atmosphere was pretty cool. They feature a ton of records on shelves with simple and a slick design.

The food and drinks were delicious! My smash burger was juicy and just the right amount of condiments!
