“Ciccia Osteria is a gem of authentic Italian cuisine in the heart of Barrio Logan. The chefs, Mario and Francesca, use recipes from Northern Italy and pair them with exquisite wines. They even bake their own panettone, a traditional Christmas cake. The restaurant has a cozy and charming atmosphere, with food made with love. However, parking can be tricky, so I recommend taking an Uber. They accept walk-ins, but make sure to dress warmly in winter, as they only have patio dining. The menu has a variety of dishes to suit every taste, but my personal favorite is the mushroom flan. It is creamy, savory, and simply delicious. I also enjoyed the milanese veal, which was tender and crispy. The smoky old-fashioned cocktail and the roccotta olive oil spread for the fresh bread were also amazing. And of course, I could not resist their lasagne, which was rich and satisfying.Ciccia Osteria is my new go-to place for Italian food in San Diego. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their dishes. If you are looking for a genuine and delightful Italian experience, you should definitely check it out.Ciccia Osteria has earned a Bib Gourmand designation from the Michelin Guide. This means that it offers good quality and good value cooking, which is rare to find these days.Parking: Take an UberWheelchair accessibility: Ease first floor.“
“I had the best 2 meals of my trip at Thanh Tinh Chay! I got diagnosed with celiac disease 3 years ago and haven’t had great Vietnamese food since, but this place is incredible. Every single thing is vegan and gluten free, but you would never know because it is all so flavorful and delicious. As I was eating the Banh Mi sandwich I couldn’t believe the bread was gluten free, but our lovely server confirmed that it was a homemade recipe that took over 2 years to perfect. Many other items are made from scratch in house as well! The customer service is phenomenal as well, everyone is so kind and we were treated to complimentary desserts which were to die for! Especially the creme brûlée! I wish I lived in San Diego so I could eat here weekly, but I’ll be back every time I visit!“
“Awesome 100% vegan market. Lots of fun snacks and treats. Local family owned establishment. Really great deli inside that serves up amazing sandwiches, burritos and fast food style options. Local made pastries and donuts delivered almost daily as well. Highly recommended for vegans and non vegans as well!“
“The world's best kombucha! Seriously. Not too sweet, not too tangy. Just right. I've tried many kombuchas and none compare. The flavors are always great and rotate frequently. All natural ingredients. Really cool little shack right in Ocean Beach. I always love taking it to Sunset Cliffs and enjoying my kombucha by the ocean.“
“A long overdue review for one of my favorite smoothie spots in San Diego. Smoothies and açaí bowls are fresh, delicious, and well-balanced. The team is always so friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming, and has great recommendations if you ask. My go-to smoothie spot in the downtown area!“
“Ultreya is my favorite coffee shop in San Diego! Not only is the coffee unique and phenomenal, the staff is wonderful, and it is my go-to for getting any gifts. Love the art pop ups and open mics too! Such a special local and community establishment.Vegetarian options: vegetarian AND vegan—and milk alternatives are not extra!“
“I LOVE this place!!! I have eaten here multiple times, and every single thing I get on the menu is absolutely delicious, being a vegetarian. Sometimes it’s hard to find good food that I can eat out and serve my family. This place is amazing, all of their food is absolutely delicious, their bagels and their pastries are super fresh and delicious. The workers are Friendly and kind!! I highly recommend this place!!!!!Vegetarian options: Amazing!!!!!“
“The food was amazing, it brang tears to my eyes the amount of excitement in the voices of the workers. I would come back even if it was closed just to be around this atmosphere. :)Kid-friendliness: The place was genunley amazing made very good food and generally was very informative i wouldrate ten out of ten.“
“Great service, not the best looking location, but some pretty darn good food! I’m petty picky about my pad Thai and they made it just right. Location isn’t the best looking but that’s not what we fatties are here for right!!!? Highly recommend :)“
“Superb Indian food. Friendly informed service. We went for Gluten free food. There is lots on the menu. I'm only recently gluten intolerant but I have had a hard time finding my GF food in San Diego, which is also family friendly (i.e. not dry salads, which kids hate). This place was awesome. Highly recommended to anyone whether gf or notI found the restaurant on a Gluten free app called "Find Me GF" thanks guys you made my day. ??Also we loved the wall paper!Dietary restrictions: LOTS of Gluten free and other allergy options (lime more than half the menu. Call and ask, really helpful friendly owners.“
“The tuna flower cups were the most insane thing I’ve eaten in a long time. I haven’t had fish in over a decade and so I can’t be trusted really when I say “wow that tastes just like fish!” But my fish eating partner had the same reaction as well. Do not miss that dish! The chicken satay appetizer was also amazing, haven’t had something like that before. Also got the spring rolls and the tangerine chicken dish. The waiter was attentive and really nice, helped us out with our different allergies and restrictions.“
“This place is beyond amazing! Not only LOCAL and FAMILY owned and operated, they do amazing work for the community. The food is absolutely delicious too! This is a wonderful place to visit by yourself, on a date, with family or friends, or meeting to with colleagues!“
“I am not a vegan, but I don’t eat red meat. Every now and then I really crave a burger! Their burger was soooooo delicious and juicy and the pretzel bun was a huge plus. I also had their jalapeño corn dog and which was tasty but HUUGE so I recommend sharing! The animal style fries there were also a large portion and SOOO good I’ve been thinking about them since! Don’t sleep on this food truck, they’re amazing!!!!!!“
“Still great food but a much smaller menu in their new location. I haven't found a single menu item I wouldn't have again. A variety of vegan food items are available with quick service. The ONLY downside is the LOCATION with a small, cramped parking lot. Narrow parking slots with multiple businesses make parking a serious challenge. Only saw one handicap parking spot available.“
“This is the oldest vegetarian spot in San Diego, adding a cool historical vibe to your dining experience. The star of the show, besides the delicious food, is Olivia – a charming and ever-helpful person. Her positivity is contagious, making every visit feel like a delightful reunion. Knowing there's such a warm and welcoming person like Olivia working there is the cherry on top, making you want to keep coming back for more wholesome goodness.“
“Vegetariana Review:We've visited Kiin well in the doble digits. My wife and I have been to a variety of Thai restaurants in San Diego yet everytime we go back to Kiin we truly wonder why we even try any other place.I usually test a place by the quality of the fried rice. Many places have an excuse or fried rice. Very few specialize in it, so it's a great dish to test the overall quality of a place. Theirs is second to none I've had in San Diego so far.It is a very good place to go with mixed diets (vegan, omnivore, vegetarian). The menu isn't a huge selection, but at the same time I've never had a bad fish in this place. The portions are of good size, service has always been good, decorations are great. This however isn't a quiet place (specially at night) as there are several other dinners up there and there is music playing for all. This doesn't mean you can't have a conversation here, but keep in mind if you're looking for a more romantic place.“
“Wow, let me just say this place is pleasantly surprising in terms of food options, flavor, and quality. I tried this tofu sushi Indian style, and it was delicious. The fries were perfectly crispy and seasoned. I can't wait to go back for the chick pea burger and samosas. I also want to try the mango lassi! I live pretty close by and have gotten so tired of chains like Subway with limited vegan options. I'm glad I can grab something on the go that's fresh and healthy! Also, the owner was very kind which is always a plus!“
“What a charming spot! Visited on a leisurely Saturday afternoon and were seated right away. Ordering at the counter was a breeze, and then we chose our own cozy spot. The selection of kombucha on tap caught my eye, though they also offer beer and wine.We indulged in the Tokyo fries, bahn mi, and tom kah soup. Each dish arrived at the perfect temperature and bursting with flavor. The friendly service added to the delightful experience. I'd definitely come back for more!“
“my favorite restaurant of all time! the service is always impecable and it is the best food you can dream of for vegans and non vegans alike. they can cater to a wide range of allergies including (but not limited to) gluten free, nut free, and soy free. the wait staff are incredibly knowledgeable about the food and beverage selection and are so kind and helpful if you have any questions. the outdoor patio is beautiful with plants all around and the ambiance inside is lovely as well. my fiancé and i are having our wedding reception at donna jean and everybody at the restaurant has been so helpful every step of my planning. we are so excited to share our favorite restaurant with our friends and family. i would genuinely give 10 stars if i couldDietary restrictions: i can’t imagine a lot of dietary restrictions they are unable to accommodate.“
“I actually had no idea this was a vegan place, but it was a nice surprise since I usually have to worry about dairy content. I'd heard some say the hot chocolate was too mild, but I think differently: my iced chocolate was mild, but it's nice for the chocolate to not be overpowered by sugar. You can actually taste the dark chocolate, and the drink itself is light and pleasant, with nuance in the chocolate that deepens as you drink it. For me, almond milk was the winning base, but they also offer coconut milk and soy, among other choices. The ambience is very pleasant, it's a small place but charming. Friendly, fast customer service. I do think the pastry selection leaves much to be desired.. but the truffles looked delicious. Will try them next time for sure!“
“I've been here about a dozen times and it's always been a great experience. I'm not even vegan. I come here because the food is always fresh and stable, no surprises. Their have cane sugar sodas which I really value. So far I've tried one of everything and while I'm not a fan of imitation meat, I really can't tell the difference here. A chicken sandwich tastes like a chicken sandwich. Fast friendly service, no mistakes or issues. Honestly that's the thing that sets them apart from everyone else.“
“Full disclosure: the owner and his tiny right hand man are friends of mine. Even so, there is nothing else bad that can be said about them.Jp (owner) is second gen vegan and a skilled chef. His food is great and produced with care and sustainability in mind. His mini me TJ (effeminate pretty boy) is...um...well, JP likes him. He follows direction well, comes when called, is house broken, and he learned how to spell his name...T. J. Last month. If you are vegan, and even if you're not, this place is definitely worth the trip.Dietary restrictions: Vegan, raw, and organicWheelchair accessibility: Ramp“
“Finally... a place to "treat yourself" without the regrets. Picked up a Tiramisu cake for Easter and it was a hit. Who doesn't over do it on holiday meals and forces the desert because you've already over indulged? But this was SO DELICIOUS and did not leave you with a sugar hangover. You also will feel very welcome and appreciated when you are there. Take my money!“
“I was surprised to find this right next to the laundromat I stopped to use! Only gf option was lemon tofu and it was great, salty fried tofu balanced by mild rice and salad - very zesty, reasonable price, friendly, and great philosophy! Great discovery!“
“Wow! Don't hesitate- Best Thai food ever. I ordered tickets go and the customer service was so sweet and nice eventhough it was a busy Friday night. Pesca vegan diner - I ordered with a plan for the leftovers. Vegan pineapple rice, salad with peanutdressing, green curry with shrimp added and panamg curry. This is the most savory food I think I've had, ever. Thank you!!“
“So impressed! - spicy 'chicken' sandwich, chocolate peanut butter shake, sweet potato fries, chicken salad, all fantastic. Access to the store was a little interesting but worth it, beautiful shop, great staff. -my favorite part was that after I had fast food, I actually felt “
“Large and excellent vegan and vegetarian and gluten-free menu, clearly marked with a knowledgeable staff. Delicious Tex-Mex, if that's your jam then this is the place to go.Vegetarian options: Full page of the menu devoted to vegetarian and vegan optionsDietary restrictions: Very good. Vegan and gluten-free options clearly marked with knowledgeable stuffKid-friendliness: Seemed decently kid friendly“
“We had idli, medu vada and chai served in traditional steel glass. It tasted very good. Quantity was decent for the price we paid. Can’t complain.Plenty of free parking is available. It’s not too crowded, has good ambiance and customer service was excellent and helped me make choices.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible“
“i'm really here to talk about the breakfast burrito - if you want a super delicious, strangely healthy, very affordable breakfast burrito that you can customize the heck out of, this is 100% the spot.side note: the peanut butter smoothie is amazing.also the owners are super nice and you can get lots of dope vitamins and supplements and stuff.“
“So happy I was able to experience this lovely cafe. The gentleman behind the bar was there was so pleasant. He answered all of my questions and engaged with each customer in a such caring manner. For dinks they had coffee, regular kombucha, and hemp infused kombucha. (There were probably more options but that's what I saw)Both flavors of the hemp infused kombucha were delicious. That was my first time having hemp kombucha and it totally relaxed my mind and body. I ordered 2 Jamaican patties cabbage & tofu. I had to wait a while because they were being made fresh. When they came out both were so delicious they were seasoned, soft, flaky, and had the right amount of spice. My picky 5 year old loved the tofu patty. This is the best cafe I've ever been to. It's afrocentric, healthy, and everything is of the highest quality!“
“I ordered the red curry and Tom kha soup because it's my favorite when I'm not feeling well. The dishes did not disappoint! They arrived fast and the price was tasty, too. Spicy level 1 is all you need, unless you are part dragon.“
“Excellent place to have a nice vegan meal. The service is exceptional and the atmosphere is friendly.Vegetarian options: The menu is all plant-based.Dietary restrictions: This place is vegan or plant-based, there are no animal products in any of the dishes.“

“We had a reservation, we ordered an appetizer, pizza and salad, all came out at the same time quite quickly, and while they were very attentive to our table we felt like we were being kicked out around the 1 hour mark so it was not as relaxing or paced out as we typically prefer. Great bread, pesto and marinara! Good burrata and pizza for 2, would recommend!“
