“Ok, I am from NY and love pizza. I am not a NYC pizza snob though and welcome all iterations of 'za! I have to say that this pizza is probably the best I have ever had of its type. They are "Roman" slices, meaning focaccia crust. Variety of slice options are insane with creative combinations that are not only imaginative, but insanely delicious. Slices are cooked upon ordering for supreme freshness. I especially like the Lussuria - prosciutto, black pepper, mashed potato, mozzarella and olive oil. (I NEVER thought I would like mashed potato on a slice, but it's insanely good.) The help here is amazing as well. Caesar was working the oven and he gave great suggestions and explained the product well. Very inviting and definitely steered me in the right direction. Need gluten free? They got it! Will make a GF slice for you right on the spot. I challenge anyone to have just one slice. I had to go back for 2 more. Enjoy!“

“Had a great meal and our server (Kezi) was super cool, very friendly and attentive. Food was so good. Got the spicy cucumbers, little gem Caesar, Blitzkrieg, and Margherita. Everything was very tasty! I loved the Caesar, my friend loved the cucumbers. The pizza: crust was on the thin side but sturdy, nice chew and char, pepperoni was perfect (cup peps, crispy, yummy); Margherita was an excellent of the classic.

Sat outside and it was very lovely, and they have lots of seating inside. Will definitely go again, and if they deliver, will absolutely order!“

“If you are looking for a true Italian experience in San Diego, look no further than Vinarius! We worked with Giuseppe (owner) to host our wedding celebration here back in March, 2023. From the beginning, he was amazing to work with. Incredibly positive and accommodating from the start, we couldn’t have asked for more. The wedding ceremony was planned to be outside and of course, it rained that day. Guiseppe and his staff went above and beyond to accommodate us, allowed us to have the small ceremony inside the restaurant on short notice and made an incredible meal to follow. “I’ve gone here twice in the last couple months and both times they had great movies on the TV. Avengers Endgame and Avatar 2. If I had more time on my hands I definitely would’ve sat down and hung out watching both movies. Whoever is in charge of movie selection, keep it up. Pizza is fantastic too. “I went to have dinner with my family. we ordered the family deal which came with an appetizer a large salad a large Alfredo pasta to share and a large pizza we order half al pastor and half meat parade we were 5 and we all left full everything was delicious.Owner was veryhelpful and the food was great 👍we found our new spot“

“Best pizza I have ever tried. My son told me about Pit Pizza because that's what they eat at school. He loves it so much and made me curious to try it. We drove from La Mesa to Clairemont Dr just to try this precious pizza, mind you it's about a 30-minute drive. Got there and all the workers were very nice and I loved that it was a drive-through order. The owner was just amazing. We got home and boy, oh boy! It was worth every drive I made. The pizza was delicious. I'll be going there every Friday for some good pizza. Fridays are our movie night and pizza day in our house. Before I forget, he also let me have a dessert for free. Great place to visit. I recommend. I'll give them a five-star and 100% validation. ♥️💕“

“This is a gem of a place. Excellent pizza, fantastic service, and the gelato - YUM!!! It's been around for decades, the founder Pauly is in there early every morning to make the dough and sauce. Authentic and oh so good. Mona is wonderful as well.

They have a sketchy competitor who chose a similar name - don't get fooled. Pauly's Pizza Joint is the only Pizza Joint to go to.

“This is the second year in a row we have stayed at Crystal Pier in San Diego. Both trips we have ordered deliver from SD TapRoom and all of our meals have been delicious. Last night was the best one for me though. I actually called them thinking they had deliver me a regular crust pizza instead of gluten-free (I have celiac). It tasted WAY TOO GOOD to be gluten-free, but it was! I have no idea how they made such a good crust (I actually said this can’t be what I ordered since it tasted so good)! The salads are also fabulous and my sister had the fish taco’s and loved them. Chili and burgers have also been a hit. Thanks for a great couple of dinners!“

“I’m from Jersey and a tough critic when it comes to pizza on the west coast. Slice house has high quality ingredients and I’ve enjoyed eating there, they can do basic or speciality slices well. My only criticism is they don’t always cook toppings fully (most like crispy pepperoni!) and when getting delivery or grabbing take out, your food will be cold. My advice would be to keep the pizza in the oven a little longer and keep the pizza on top of the oven when you’re waiting for customer’s take out/delivery. This will increase your stars and the customer experience!“

“My new Go-To spot for Pizza in San Diego! I'm from out of state and man some of the best thin pizza I've had in years. And best overall pizza I've had lately.

The Owner's are very respectful and amazing service. Tip them big to support them as a local business and not corporate. I ate here 3 days in a row while I was in town. You won't get bloated like from other thick pizza spots since it's not heavy on bread or grease.

They have all kinds of toppings for anybody's personal taste. Give them a try and you won't be disappointed! 😁“
