If you're lucky they might have an extra one still hanging out, but don't count on that plan ahead at least 20 minutes before closing. Employees are well trained, well manered, and respectful even when a rude customer is in front of them! “Really good pizza! I dropped in for a quick bite and was not disappointed. I got the $10 special, two slices and a Coke. This is a big pizza with a thin crust so you get a little flop on the end. I got two slices around 2:00, so it was after the lunch crowd, and the pizza was still good. I can’t wait to order a whole pizza.“

“If you live anywhere near Poway and haven’t tried Giant New York Pizza yet, genuinely what are you doing?

This place is one of those rare spots where the appearance can feel a little unassuming at first, but the devil’s in the details… or in this case, the flavor. Nothing feels forced or overhyped. It just tastes like a pizza spot that actually understands why people love pizza in the first place.

The sauce alone deserves its own shoutout. It’s rich without being heavy, slightly sweet but balanced, and has that slow-cooked flavor that makes every bite hit harder than you expect. You can tell they didn’t just phone it in with some generic canned sauce. It carries the whole slice in the best way possible.

And then there’s the value, which honestly feels insane in 2026. They’ve got a 28” pizza for 28 bucks. A pie that feeds like 8-10 people for the same price most places charge for something mediocre and half the size.

We grabbed their medium 16” pie for $16, a salad that was basically overflowing out of the takeout box, a slice of tiramisu, and an order of cannoli. Total came out to $45.50 after a full 20% tip and somehow still felt cheap for the amount and quality of food we got.

Coming from Ventura, this place almost made me jealous. I’d do just about anything to have a spot like this closer to home. Real neighborhood pizza energy, massive portions, good people, and flavors that actually make you stop mid-bite for a second.

“I had not ordered from ths Roundtable for quite a while because I was unhappy with the quality and the delays in delivery. Today, however, my son requested Roundtable so I placed an order. When the pizza arrived--it was on time, by the way-- it was hot, fresh, and DELICIOUS! Toppings were fresh and abundant. Don't know what caused problems in the past, but they have now been corrected, and I am happy to recommend the Rancho Peñasquitos Round Table pizza on Black Mountain Road.“

“Probably the best pizza spot in town! I've tried Jerry's for lunch on five occasions now, and each time has been a home run. Great food and great service. I have tried the Pepperoni, Supreme, Meat Lover, PBJ, and Hawaiian pizzas and I have not been dissapointed. I also tried their Pastrami sub, it was great but slighty overpriced IMO. Their 2 slices and a drink for $10 is a good deal, I just wish they displayed more options. If you're nearby, this should definitely be your go-to spot. Staff here is always friendly and easy to talk to. Knowing you're supporting a small business is a huge plus as well.
Only downside is I'll probably eat way more pizza than I should for lunch now😅
