“Such a great dining experience in the heart of Balboa Park.

Emiliano was our waiter and absolutely made the experience. We let him help guide us through the menu, and he did not disappoint.

We started with the pear and beet salad and masa-fried squash blossoms, then worked our way through the Vietnamese pork meatballs and lamb seekh, and finished with the Wagyu burger. Every dish brought something completely different to the table, which made sharing everything even more fun.

The food was beautifully presented, full of flavor, and just adventurous enough without trying too hard. Add the atmosphere of being right in the heart of Balboa Park, and it made for such a memorable meal.

Definitely ask for Emiliano and let him help you choose you won't be disappointed.“

“These are honestly the best salads I have ever had. They are layered and dressed perfectly. I have ordered at least once a week since their opening in OB. The staff is friendly, efficient and the space is immaculate! I cannot say enough good things about Mary’s Salads!“

“We had a great dining experience at Urban Plates in Long Beach. Mariana explained the menu choices in a very unrushed manner, and we decided on the steak. I ordered the Chimichurri grass-fed steak with balsamic brussel sprouts and herb-roasted potatoes. All of it was delicious ( and healthy too!). The deserts were absolutely killer too. We will definitely eat here again next time we're in Long Beach.“

“Such a great dinner experience from start to finish! The atmosphere was beautiful, the staff was super friendly, and the whole experience felt very elevated.

I ordered The Pink Lady, which was just as pretty as it was enjoyable, followed by the Boujie Burger with crispy fries. Everything was delicious! I wrapped up the meal with the Chocolate Budino, which was the perfect sweet ending.

One of my favorite little details was the branded hand towels already waiting on the table. Such a thoughtful touch, and they definitely came in handy after getting into a good burger!

And we have to talk about the bathrooms because WOW! Let's just say they understood the assignment. Even the bathroom experience felt boujie!

“Soi PB is our favorite Thai food in San Diego! We are vegetarian, and their Panang Curry with tofu is scrumptious - As is their drunk noodles and soups. Actually all of their curries are delectable. We are in La Jolla and order delivery from them frequently when we want to nest at home and savor yummy thai! Their owner is so nice as well. We are picky about food, and I Highly Highly recommend them.“

Black Radish was nothing short of spectacular. Every dish was beautifully prepared, incredibly flavorful, and thoughtfully executed. The wine selection paired perfectly with the meal, and the service was outstanding from start to finish.

What made the evening even more special was the family behind it all. John, the owner and chef, has created something truly special. His wife is also a chef, and their daughter, Alexandra, was our server. It was a genuine family affair, and you could feel the pride, passion, and hospitality in every part of the experience.

I honestly hesitate to write this review because I’d love to keep this place a hidden gem and still be able to get a reservation, but I can’t let an experience like this go without recognition.

1,000% recommend Black Radish. The food was incredible, the service was impeccable, the wine was exceptional, and the entire evening was simply unforgettable. This is the kind of restaurant that reminds you why dining out can be such a special experience.

“Visitors from Texas: We went for breakfast, and the food was simply delicious and the prices were reasonable. But the best part was the service: We lost some documents, and we thought we'd left them there. The entire staff was cooperative and friendly. They even gave us a follow-up call. Unfortunately, we couldn't find them (we lost them in the parking lot), but we were very grateful for the staff's support. If you go to San Diego, be sure to visit this delicious restaurant!! “Great Menu with FAANTASTIC flavors. The Farmhouse sandwich is delicious, but the STAR of our visit was the Thai Mango Salad served with a creamy Thai almond dressing. That dressing needs to be bottled and sold! There's a party in my mouth every time I taste it. I have turned so many family and friends on to it. They all have the same disbelief in how delicious and refreshingly flavorful this beautifully crafted salads is.“

I messaged them because we have ordered several times before and thought maybe they would try to make it right but they never replied. This was 2 weeks ago. We will never buy food here again! The servings are very small and there are tons of other places to eat or order take out around here if they want to be jerks about it! The food is average really, we order out frequently so as not to have to cook and live in the area. We got about $1 worth of rice and lettuce for a $30 meal plate, what a joke!“

The ranch is flavorful and rich, and the marinara was a fantastic richness at the beginning, middle, and end - the ideal consistent flavor experience for marinara (most spots focus on the up-front flavors of marinara but then it becomes watery…NOT at Little Sisters!).

Each pizza is uniquely prepared to make the ingredients shine. The Chickie Chickie Parm Parm blew me away!
