Owner Molly was welcoming and Jack, our server was wonderful too. We met chefs on vacation who had come twice in a week to eat there too. Don’t walk, run. But get a reservation, seating is limited.“

I've asked them to turn it down many times and the staff says they have no control. They also said that 90% of the customers mention the same thing and they feel like it's too loud. “We ate lunch here and had the most fantastic meal. I ordered the seared ahi, we also got the avocado salad bowl and the lamb kofta. My daughter is vegan and she had a great meal ordering the tofu selection. The flavors were so well balanced and the food so meticulously prepared, it was truly a five-star dining experience. Don't leave until you've had the banana tapioca with mango on top! The setting is beautiful, we sat outside. The lemonades were delicious .If you are looking for an elevated dining experience in the park, this is your place!“

The housemade focaccia deserves a special mention: airy, perfectly seasoned, and quite possibly the best I’ve ever had. For the main course, I enjoyed the bucatini all’amatriciana. The pasta was clearly house-made, cooked to perfection, and the sauce had that authentic depth of flavor that only true Southern Italian cooking delivers. We finished with an affogato, which was the ideal ending—simple, rich, and satisfying. Monzu offers authentic Southern Italian fare with genuine hospitality, and everything we tried reflected both freshness and craftsmanship. “We had a great dining experience at Urban Plates in Long Beach. Mariana explained the menu choices in a very unrushed manner, and we decided on the steak. “One of the best restaurants I’ve been to! We loved everything we tried on the menu, and were sad to hear it’s being discontinued for a new spring menu—especially the filet mignon, which was incredibly tasty.
They put a lot of care into their dishes, which really matters to me. Everything feels thoughtfully prepared— like home-cooked food, but elevated to another level. Portions are on the smaller side, but the quality makes up for it.

It seemed like the noodles, chicken, and vegetables were added to the broth right before serving; they were bland too. The portion size was fine and it was filling, but I wouldn't order it again. “Are great! Empanadas are some of my favourite food they had good variety. Very good flavour they were all family recipes. Small family owned business which I like. I will be going back to try more. The empanadas are reasonably priced and you can easily eat two to three of them. They had a great salsa. The green salsa is thick and chunky a mild level and very good. The red salsa is a medium spiciness and thin and tasty. I kind of wished for an additional spice level to add some more heat. Today they should get 5 out of 5 stars service. But we did come last night and we were a few minutes before closing and they were closing up so they didn't want to take our orders. So just make sure you get there well before 8:00 p.m.“

“We met Jim on the day we found out about him generously donating the proceeds of a fundraiser for Brandon, the late owner of “The Friendly”. They had run out of the “fundraiser special” so I tried the Super Beef. Piled high with rare, tender roast beef on a toasted Sweet Onion bun, I was blown away. It’s so huge that I really should have only eaten half but I couldn’t - stop - eating! The taste of this delicious sandwich, along with the friendly demeanor of Jim and his assistant Asher, will have us coming back over and over!“

“This was my first time visiting with my best friend. Since we were both craving dumplings, we decided to give this place a try.

When we arrived, we were warmly greeted and invited to sit at any available table. Ordering was simple through a QR code at the table.
We ordered the Orange Flavored Chicken, Cucumber Salad, Xiao Long Bao (8), and Crab Meat & Pork Xiao Long Bao (8). I also ordered the Mongolian Beef to go.

The Orange Flavored Chicken was crispy and flavorful without being overly sweet, making it a great way to start the meal. The Cucumber Salad was light, refreshing, and finished with a pleasant aromatic flavor. For the main dishes, the Xiao Long Bao had a rich, savory broth that paired perfectly with vinegar. The Crab Meat & Pork Xiao Long Bao was especially satisfying and filling but a little dry. The Mongolian Beef is spicy and savory. It goes well with rice.

Although the restaurant is small, it feels comfortable and welcoming. During our visit, the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, which made for an enjoyable dining experience. Overall, we had a great first visit and would happily return.“

“Awesome deli! We stayed at hotel by here and they gave voucher for each night of our stay. Honestly, we don’t usually use these incentives, because I’m not a breakfast person. My husband used it the first morning for breakfast sandwich. He raved about how delicious the sandwich was and it looked great. We’ve been back the 2nd & 3rd days to have lunch each time. They have an extensive menu and everything we’ve had has been delicious. Sandwiches are on delicious bread and with plenty of meat and cheese. “I pass by Big Front Door often heading to work. Decided to stop in and give it a try this afternoon. I got their Cobbler salad and my friend got the chicken parmesan sandwich. The portion sizes are very generous, I asked for extra dressing with my salad and didn't really need it as there was a decent amount left. The food tasted great and was served up without much of a wait time. The star of the show was the gentleman that helped us though! I wish I had taken the time to get his name to give him proper credit. He greeted us, made small talk while my friend and I decided what to have and as we were leaving he offered to clear our table for us. Very polite and friendly!
