“This amazing pastry shop was located near our hotel, and we came here for breakfast. It was fantastic! It got quite busy around 8 a.m. on a weekday, but we managed to snag a cozy outdoor seat. The croissants looked amazing, flaky, buttery, and perfectly baked. My partner and I shared the Filled Kouign amann, and I wish we had ordered more because they were that good. Unfortunately, the tempting Little Italy eateries were calling, so we kept it light. Still, it’s a very cute coffee and pastry shop I’d love to return to.“

I like it with marinara and they accommodate. My husband had a wonderful pasta Bolognese. We topped it off with an incredible tasting lemoncello cake and two decaf cappuccinos. What a meal! Phenomenal restaurant great chef, lovely service great ambience.“

“So stoked they have vegan rolled tacos! I tried both the potato and the lentil quinoa. Both are delicious, but the lentil quinoa ones blew me away!! 🙌🏽👏🏽👏🏽 They are so flavorful and the tortillas are crispy and crunchy, yet not hard. Also awesome is that they pack everything separately so the food isn’t a soggy mess when you get home. I added vegan sour cream I had at home and topped it with their guacamole, lettuce and salsa. They were heavenly!! I also appreciate that they fry their vegan tacos in a separate fryer. 🙌🏽Also, thank you for not using styrofoam. “Always like to find beautiful patios to enjoy great food and Gooseberries kafe didn’t disappoint. Great service from the owners, everything freshly made, and great food. Came for lunch, had the roast beef sandwich which the owner cooks for 4 hours. Didn’t get a chance to try a cappuccino or one of the many pastries but will be back.“

“I’ve been ordering meals from Lean Machine for years. I’ve tired a few other meal service companies but no one compares. They’re the only ones that allow you to customize your meals by portion, carb, protein and vegetable choice. They also have great customer service.“

“I tried the Coconut Cake...best I've ever had. The Mango Cheesecake was delicious! To drink, I had a Double Cortadito, so good! What brought me here were the Guava and Guava Cheese Pastelitos. I have only ever had these from Portos. Sadly, they were too rich! Not the Guava or Cheese, they were way too buttery! The amount of butter used over powered the Guava. Hopefully it's just the batch I had. I will be back to try their other cakes and sandwiches.“

“Nice little bakery that we recently found for a vegan cake, very much vegan friendly and other dietary restrictions. Sadly they are going to be closing up shop in August of 2026. But they do have a nice selection of baked goods, as well as selling mixtures to make their cakes at home. They told me that there are a few vendors around that sell them as well. Recommendation: a garnish or side of strawberries with the Viking cake.“

“I love this location. Been a handful of times. My first visit, was the first real time I have been introduced to Gluten Free beer. I have family friend who I believe is a “Celiac” and this brewery is one of the few that he can enjoy. I visited the Encinitas location, staff and vibe was off the day I went but here it’s always fun. Beer has gotten a little stale for me considering they always have the same product. So my only critique would be is experiment with more beers haha.“
