D Z Akin's Reviews
I love their food. Wish they have the langs challah bread, their challah bread is not something you can do kiddush with.
All the waitresses there are very friendly
My mom and I frequent here and just always sit in Bernice's section. We just love her and love the food.

D Z Akin's is a popular restaurant known for its extensive menu and delicious food. The food is consistently excellent, with highlights like the Reuben sandwich, which features high-quality, thinly sliced pastrami, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut on fresh rye, and tasty onion rings. While the service can be slow, especially towards closing time, the staff is friendly and accommodating, with some describing them as nice and efficient. Customers often enjoy the outdoor dining area, especially when bringing their dogs, and look forward to trying more items from the large menu and adjacent bakery.
The restaurant offers few vegetarian options, but those with dietary restrictions can usually find something suitable on the menu. The small attached deli can get quite crowded, making it tough to move around. Parking can be a challenge during busy times, with limited spaces and the need for extra patience. An oxtail soup served at lunch was generous and tasty, and some guests purchase bread puddings for home, though some have found moldy slices, which has caused disappointment.
Overall, D Z Akin's provides a satisfying dining experience with a welcoming atmosphere. The ambience is likened to a bustling New York-style full-service Jewish deli/restaurant. The restaurant is wheelchair-accessible, though walking areas can be tight. Customers look forward to trying more menu items and exploring the bakery, despite occasional issues with the bakery products.
