“I want to start this review stating, I do not eat fish unless it is battered and fried. So, naturally, the only way I'll eat a fish taco is a battered and fried fish taco. I ordered the chipotle fish taco, not knowing it was not a fried fish taco. I was hesitant, but after I took my first bite... I couldn't believe how insanely delicious this taco was!!!! Not only was it absolutely flavorful... it was a large fish taco!!! So many good flavors! The fish was not fishy or mushy and was seasoned and possibly pan fried to give a texture contrast. The chipotle sauce was yummy and had that kick that I love. Loved all the fresh toppings too which makes a fish taco so yummy and balanced! We all ordered something different. My daughter ordered the Baja style and the ginger fish taco! She said she could eat probably 4 more that they were that good! My youngest, who is not a fish person ordered a plain carnitas and she was impressed! Last, but definitely not least... I have to mention the staff! Hector and staff were so nice and friendly, which I always appreciate! Will definitely be seeing them again to eat more fish tacos! I'm so impressed with their fish tacos (not battered and fried btw) that I must try their others! It's funny cause my mom can't even get me to eat fish like that... haha!!!!“
“We were in town looking for something for breakfast! Amazed at the assortment of savory and sweet treats. I landed in a chocolate cream filled eclair and hubby a cranberry scone. Both did not disappoint. Flavorful, tasty, large portions, reasonably priced, great customer service.“

“These have got to be the best cookies I have ever had! I was visiting SD from out of town and found this place. I ended up making two trips because they were that good. Glad I was able to enjoy some great cookies and support a black owned business! And the portion size matches the price.“

“I had not been for over two years. And boy has this place grown for the good of the community. Although the shop looks very different and larger, it still has a familiar feel. The quality of the service and desserts is spot on. The only recommendation to improve the experience is the quality of the coffee . Either sell good coffee or don't include it in your shop.“

“Love this place and the flavor, best Ethiopian Food in San Diego County. Order black injera for gluten free people so you can get 100% teff injera. I have been going here for years and every time I bring friends everyone is so pleased. Grateful for this gem! Their store is amazing as well! You can buy injera and other herbs/spices as well! Cant wait to go here again!“

“The "Mardi Gras" pasta at Bud Louisiana cafes is a true delight! The combination of shrimp and crawfish sautéed in a sherry tomato cream sauce with capers and mushrooms creates a burst of flavors that will leave you craving for more. The pasta is perfectly cooked and topped with a generous amount of Parmesan cheese, adding a delightful touch to every bite. The dish is so delicious that it transported me into a ratatouille dream-like state, and before I knew it, my plate was empty! If you're looking for a mouthwatering and satisfying meal, I highly recommend trying the "Mardi Gras" pasta at Bud Louisiana cafes. As I am not a true food critic, there was no thought of taking a picture of the dish. But I will include the carnage“

“I started going here when they first opened. My then husband & I had date night every friday night & we lived 2 blocks away. There are lots of great places to go in that area but soon Jyoti-Bihanga became our every friday night. We weren't vegetarians but we loved the food and neither one of us was big meat eaters. The food was SO GOOD and we loved that we could walk there & enjoyed the whole vibe,The people and the atmosphere was so nice also. We moved out far out to the back country in east county & still would go on date nights. Sadly we aren't together anymore but I still grab people now & then and say, HEY, you wanna go get some awesome food?? And so we go!! THE best vegetarian food in town!“

“What a great French bakery in Little Italy! They have so many pastries and lunch options available here, as well as coffees and teas. I loved their Croifeuille (the flattened croissant with pastry cream between)! Inside is beautifully decorated. They only have a couple seats and it gets pretty busy so I recommend coming early if you can!“

“Lovely spot for brunch! The quality of food and service was outstanding. Very happy with our latte and lemonade drink choices, as well as the food. One of us had the French toast and the other had the turkey Benedict. The turkey Benedict was really unique and delicious. French toast was tasty and fresh. The staff is so friendly and everyone seems genuinely kind. We will be back! There are many things on the menu I have my eye on to try.“
“Cute space, great coffee. All sizes get 2 shots of espresso. Decided on their Honey Lavender latte - delicious. Hubby wanted his usual Caramel Macchiato, so Caramel Latte is it. Kids got hot chocolate, my son described it tasted like marshmallow. Overall good!“

“I’ve been ordering meals from Lean Machine for years. I’ve tired a few other meal service companies but no one compares. They’re the only ones that allow you to customize your meals by portion, carb, protein and vegetable choice. They also have great customer service.“
“Finally... a place to "treat yourself" without the regrets. Picked up a Tiramisu cake for Easter and it was a hit. Who doesn't over do it on holiday meals and forces the desert because you've already over indulged? But this was SO DELICIOUS and did not leave you with a sugar hangover. You also will feel very welcome and appreciated when you are there. Take my money!“

“Finally got a chance to try the rolled taco goodness of El Tianguis, but was especially surprised to realize that they've also got some great regular taco options. I ordered carne asada, adobada and chicken tacos along with some potato tacos that were loaded just the way I like them! Everything was delicious and tasty. I was surprised that 4 tacos and 3 taquitos cost close to $30. This felt a little steep for the amount of food, but it did taste good. They have a good selection and they provide you with verde and/or rojo salsa that are also tasty.“

Delivery was right on time, and we were so happy with it. We got the 8" cake since we had a very small wedding, and it was the perfect size. All of their cupcake flavors are delicious too. Highly recommend cupCAKES a la Yola!“

“I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect loaf of sourdough bread in San Diego. While I’m not sure I have found exactly what I want, out of all the “name” bakeries I have tried Secret Sister makes the best loaf of bread out of the lot. I can’t speak for any of their food and/or drinks, but it’s clear to me they care about quality, and that makes a difference in my book. It’s a little challenging to find parking sometimes, but it’s totally worth it. If you go, just make sure you don’t take the last Country Loaf because I’m coming to take that one! ?“

“As a newcomer to the area, I decided to explore local coffee shops and stumbled upon Darkhorse. It's evident that they have their regulars, as I noticed during my morning walks. Typically, there's a short line of people descending their concrete steps. While the lack of indoor or outdoor seating led me to rate the atmosphere four out of five stars, it's clear that Darkhorse is a grab-and-go spot. Despite their limited food menu, they offer satisfying options for a quick breakfast. I tried their signature honey and cinnamon iced coffee, which was absolutely delicious. Both fellow customers and employees were friendly and patient, contributing to a pleasant experience. Notably, their coffee isn't bitter, and their large sizes are comparable in price to a Venti with extra shots at a popular coffee chain.“

“Nothing Bundt Cakes never disappoints. We probably buy at least four large cakes and a few couple of dozen cupcakes (bundtinis ) and individual bundltlet cakes a year. If you enjoy trying (or can't decide on just one flavor) I recommend the bundtinis they are a great way to enjoy the flavor variety. The consistency is top notch. The bakery storefront is small but they don't need bigger. The cakes are moist, sweet and they cover them in frosting (or not if you prefer but who wants cake without frosting). They will add little decorations on the cake for an additional charge. I love that they have featured flavors as well. The featured flavor is REESE'S chocolate peanut butter. I can't wait to try it. I only have until 2/25 to do so. It sounds amazing!!!“

The teens who are always on shift when I go (usually teens) are polite and helpful! “So happy Nekter is here in my neighborhood! My favorite smoothie shop who uses completely fresh ingredients and non artificial sugars. I've ordered smoothies and also bowls from here and they are generous with the fruit content. Everything tastes amazing and healthy. Their online ordering system is also very easy if you want to do carry out/pickup without dealing with the register.“

“Cute little bakery / coffee shop. I ordered the coffee cake muffin which was HUGE! I am not complaining at all, I quite enjoyed that the muffin was a generous portion. I was munching on it thru out the day and still had some left over for breakfast the following day. Looking forward to picking up a sweet treat here on my way to work again! The only inconvenient part is the parking, I think there a very limited spots surrounding the bakery and then otherwise you have to look for street parking.“

“Omg, I intended on taking a picture of the food, but I ate it too fast. If you don't want a tummy ache from eating way too much good tuna don't go here. Don't try their aloha sauce either, you'll be addicted and need to go back. You've been warned.“

“Hidden gem in Kensington! One of the best Italian restaurants I’ve been in San Diego. Loved the pizza toscana, feel like every bite I had was better than the last. The best alla vodka with bacon I’ve had in over ten years, couldn’t stop eating it. We sat on the dog friendly patio which has heaters. The service was excellent and food comes out quick. Must go!“

“Been going here since I was a kid. Was super bummed out when they closed the original location. So happy when they opened this one! They kept the same recipes and the family still owns it. They're awesome too! Favorite pizza in spring valley by far and I'd put their bread sticks up against any. They're the best.“
