Whenever I go to farmers markets, Hillcrest or Little Italy, I always stop at mayas booth! It’s really great that they have an actual store to visit when the farmers market isn’t running.It’s off the 8 freeway and kind of tucked away but there are signs to help you find the store on the corner and there are few spots in the parking lot as well as street parking.The shop itself is pretty small to the point: they have merch, the cookies, and their kitchen in the back. Delicious cookies at Maya’s! Hard to believe that they’re vegan as well! We got four cookies, chocolate chip, s’more, cupcake, and snickerdoodle. All very yummy. Friendly employee and very quick in and out. Hope they expand soon, could see them in a mall being very successful. Recommend!

These have got to be the best cookies I have ever had! I was visiting SD from out of town and found this place. I ended up making two trips because they were that good. Glad I was able to enjoy some great cookies and support a black owned business! And the portion size matches the price.
