“Maybe the best breakfast burrito I’ve ever had.To me it tastes like a french gourmet breakfast plate put inside a perfectly grilled tortilla. Comes with hot ketchup they made on the side. Also, they let you swap avocado for the protein which is cool. Can’t recommend highly enough!“
“This place is everything you would want in a juicer! The food and drinks are 100% organic, vegan and gluten free! I have tried about 5 different types of smoothies from Choice and none of them have been disappointing, they have all been amazing!“
“The food and service here have been excellent both times I've been. The only place where I've had better salmon was in Seattle. The sushi here is very good. I lived in Japan and for about 1/2 an hour I was homesick. Bottom line, eat here. My favorite Japanese spot in San Diego county.“
“Please be advised that this is my personal opinion and experience. Your experience may be different than mine. So my daughter and I ate here yesterday for Veteran's Day in the evening around 6pm. There was a 15 minute wait to be seated...no big deal. The place was busy but not overly crowded. The servers we encountered were absolutely awesome. The lady that took care of us was on point and very attentive and aware and so friendly. Also have to mention the table next to us had a family with 3 girls that appeared to be celebrating birthdays. The male server we observed was awesome as well. He sang loudly so the whole place could hear and did a little show with a song and dance. It was actually very impressive. The food was actually better than any of the other CPKs that I have eaten at over the years locally. It was even better than the now closed UTC location. The food was good and the Hawaiian pizza had fresh pineapple and sliced ham. It wasn't canned pineapple or lunchmeat ham. Again this is my personal opinion, this CPK was really good. Thank you for the wonderful experience especially on Veteran's Day.“
“I love this place! The donuts are unique and delicious and the portions and variety are perfect. I order regularly for catered seminars and they are always a hit. They also have great customer service and are always nice and reliable. Prices are reasonable too! Highly recommend!“
“Located inside food court of a supermarket, this is such a hidden gem even expected my standard as a Vietnamese. The best authentic, high quality and affordable food I've ever had outside of Vietnam! Every single dish I've tried on the menu was excellent! Highly recommended!“
“Urban Plates is a fantastic dining option for families looking for a healthy and delicious meal. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot to gather with loved ones. The menu offers a wide variety of healthy choices, from fresh salads to hearty grain bowls and flavorful proteins. Each dish is made with high-quality ingredients and expertly prepared, ensuring a satisfying and nutritious meal. And let's not forget about dessert - the options are just as delicious as the main courses. From decadent cakes to creamy puddings, there's something to satisfy every sweet tooth.Overall, Urban Plates is a must-visit for anyone looking for a wholesome and enjoyable dining experience. The food is top-notch, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the service is friendly. I can't wait to go back and try more of their delicious offerings.“
“Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a low sugared, 5% alcoholic content beverage. Kove has a good number of choices, various samples and flavors to try (nice of the staff, who were friendly and welcoming). The entire place has a great atmosphere, indoor seating as well as outdoor setup. Kome on by to try the best yerba mate I have ever had.“
“Authentic Italian Bakery! How did I miss this place?! So unassuming, hole in the wall bakery tucked in the corner of a shopping plaza. The pictures speak for themselves. Delicious and authentic. Don't come here expecting American style pastries or sandwiches. It's amazing and the quality is there! I've been to Italy, husband is from France so his expectations are always high when it's an European bakery. He loved the Italian sandwich and Italian ham especially. As for the prices, it's on par with the quality, did I hear imported Italian flour?! Yes. Italian family owned bakery where you hear them speaking Italian? Yes. Cute Italian mom and dad hanging out in the bakery? Yes. You can't get more authentic than that. My new favorite local bakery.Kid-friendliness: Yes“
“This is one of my happy places. Its by the beach and there's a thriftstore in the same little strip mall. The donuts are super as evidenced by the constant foot traffic and cars coming and going Its got a great vibe. My favorite is the orange glazed. They're all really good. They have more than donuts too. Enjoy!“
“This place is absolutely beautiful. The servers are super nice and the food was really good. The drinks were amazing. Be sure to park Valet. It's actually less than the metered parking. It was so easy to reserve a table, we got one right at the window with the beautiful ocean as your atmosphere. The prices are not bad for such a beautiful restaurant. I'd say ($15-30) per dish.Parking: Valet was only $8.00! The metered parking was more expensive.“
“one of my favorite vegan restaurants, I love coming to this veggie grill! the food tastes as good as it looks and the staff have always been so friendly :) the nachos and buffalo chicken salads are our favorites! and their desserts are always so good “
“Trudy and Susie were wonderful! The food was delicious. My daughter had the Bushfire burger and I had the salmon bowl with roasted vegetables. Both were great! My daughter's wine tasted a little off, and they comped it, plus giving her another glass on the house! Such great service. We come here quite often and we will continue.“
“My daughter just brought us our first box... now I am going to see if I can send a box to my son in Seattle. Exceptionally good cookies and great presentation! Loved the iced one and look forward to trying more. We had 5 or 6 and actually cut them up to share tastes! Delish and welcome to the neighborhood!!!“
“Pricey but the unique flavors and clean ingredients make it worth it! Tried the box of the best 6 donuts for $25 and rated them the following:1. Love and salt2. Huckleberry3. Butter and salt4. Lemon pound5. Old fashion6. Apple fritterAll were soft, light and not too sweet (except the apple fritter, too sweet for me).Definitely recommend stopping by to grab some different flavors that you can’t get anywhere else! Excited for their little Italy location to open.“
“Healthy creations hold a very special place in my heart. Not only do i have a gluten intolerance, i also have an intolerance to terrible service. This place is the opposite of that. John always makes me feel welcome no matter what - sometimes i come in there a hot mess and theyll have my favorite drink waiting for me to purchase cause they know me so well!If you ever see tori, lucy, john or eduardo - be sure to say hi! They are so friendly and they always keep me coming back !“
“This is hands down my favorite restaurant in north county San Diego. I absolutely love it. My favorite thing to get is the green curry with mock duck.Drinks - fantasticDessert - fantasticFood - extra fantasticAtmosphere - beautiful and funStaff - amazing! They are always happy and friendly.I definitely recommend Plumeria.“
“I threw an engagement party here for my sister and her fiance. This was the easiest, best place to throw an event! Everyone was super helpful and clear on everything we could do. They accommodated many things we wanted and made the night perfect. Thank you to Brett and the team at duck foot!“
“We ordered 2 trays of crepes and a tray of chocolate croissants for our family Easter party. Isabelle was fantastic in helping me on deciding which crepes were best for my order. We decided on one tray of savory chicken crepes and one tray of spinach crepes. Both were exceptional. Everyone in our family couldn't stop raving about them. Additionally one of our guests brought Isabelles fabulous lemon cake for dessert. That was equally a huge hit. I'm already planning my next order of crepes.“
“Great for groups- Large tables and we had children with our group and they were able to play on the turf outside the downstairs area while we were waiting for our food. I ordered the turkey and avocado salad with steak (I like protein) which was absolutely delicious. The protein made it extra filling. A sliced hard boiled egg would have elevated it perfectly so a note to myself to add that next time if it's an option. Lots of healthy options to choose from. Will definitely eat here again.“
“Honestly my favorite breakfast joint. All the food here is great and tastes awesome. My personal favorite is the Pork Belly Benny. Service is hit or miss. I've been coming here for a long time and while most waiters are decent there are some that very unpleasant/rude. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place. Soooo much better than Broken Yolk Cafe or similar breakfast/lunch spots. Snooze is a chain, but it doesn't feel corporate and the food doesn't taste it either. Highly recommend!“
“Love this sweet little French cafe so much. Great to stop in for a sandwich or a piece of quiche. I always leave with something from their bakery case, too. Their Afternoon Tea service is offered from time to time and it is delicious. The owner, Shiki, is so kind and welcoming. Can’t recommend enough!“
“We had the apple salad to start and the creamy vinaigrette was excellent. Make sure you get the right dressing here. The star of the show was the pizza. I rarely get a medium since the value is usually in the large but even though I like a thin crust, the larges I saw looked a bit anemic. We went with medium. The crust was perfect! The meatballs were perfectly crisped and the ricotta was added after it was cooked so it maintained the creamy texture instead of hardening on the outside when it is cooked. Trust me here, this is my favorite pizza and pizza is one of my favorite foods. The sauce is also the exact acidity I'm looking for. The only downside to this place is how far it is from my house.“
“She made a beautiful amazing cake for my little boy! :D Absolutely delicious and creative! Everyone loved looking at it and eating this masterpiece she made for us! Thank you Brittany Austin for your hard work and the obvious love you put into what you do! You are super sweet and kind. :D“
“Love this place! They have chagacinnos and wonderful healthy baked goods with organic ingredients and vegan gf options. Laron was SUPER sweet by helping me decide what to get and explaining everything so well. She is so kind and made the experience. Thank you! Will definitely be coming back anytime I’m in Del Mar.“
“The person I was with ordered the mystical mushroom quesadilla (red bell tortilla filled with cheez, ‘sauteed’ mushrooms & onions, tomatoes & greens. Served with guacamole) and I ordered the Nori Nirvana (avocado & fresh veggies wrapped in a nori, servedwith a teriyaki dipping sauce). We both loved our dishes! Mine hit the spot and was delicious. Both of our plates had dried kale for “chips”, which I also loved. I can’t wait to go back and try a new dish. They also complimentary serve reverse osmosis water. High vibe and delicious fresh raw food!“
“Donuts are great, the maple-bacon bar is very tasty! On a whim the other day we got a couple of sandwiches from here, and WOW were were blown away! They were amazing , would highly recommend, and we will definitely be back for more!Dietary restrictions: They do have some gluten free options in the donut/(muffins?) Section.“
“Lovely people and service! Lot of options on the menu. But I have to say I’ve been here a few times and the food really isn’t too great. Had a southwest salad that was just chips busted up over romaine with shredded cheese, some chicken enchiladas where the meat was kinda dry and funky, and a veggie burger that was also just kinda so so. Still love the place for its massive amount of options and lovely people.“
“Amazing gelato! I was in vacation with my family in Los Angeles and we saw their freezer at this store in Hollywood. Everyone in my family got a different flavor and we all loved it. I tried the pistachio one and it was by far the best pistachio gelato I’ve ever had.“
“One of my favorite restaurants as someone with celiac. Being able to have a proper burrito after almost two years of not having one??? I still fondly remember the two trips I made here, and dream of going back, even though I am rarely in this area (would go a little out of my way for it though!) The drinks are also really good. Long wait and difficulty to find seating only mean that others also think it's a great place, and that's something I love to see: all-gluten free places being attractive spots for people no matter their food restrictions or lack thereof.“
“Grabbed some cookies from the farmers market while in town visiting family. I’m addicted! When I learned they shipped, I placed a huge order! The red velvet are my absolute favorite but I tried several other flavors which were also delicious! I will be a regular!“
“Looking for the friendly restaurants that are dog friendly? Patio space is open and inviting. Food is good and service was timely! The Vanilla Matcha Tea Latte was delicious, not sweet. Breakfast Snooze classic and Sam I am are our go to favorites!“
“I love Sprinkles Cupcakes! At least the ones with cookie bottoms (ie the s'mores cupcake, the cookie cupcake). They are quite pricey (about $6 for a single cupcake), but they're one of the best cupcakes you can get. They're individually boxed so they make great gifts. You also get a free cupcake on your birthday if you sign up for their rewards! Sometimes their app is wonky though. They don't use their "pickup" window, so just head on in and let them know if you have a pickup!“
“I'm gonna leave 5 star because I love their bakery! Omg so delicious. Best brownie and salted Carmel and blondie bars. But I have to write this down again for owner to warn her employee. That same girl was treating me poorly was serving me today again. I didn't go there a while even I work just on same street because of that employee treating me like that but then I wanted to give another chance. I've been going since couple times. Other workers and owner is nice. But today again this same girl... I'm asking their other stuff, what is in it and what are they since I wanna try their all bakery. I just asked 1 item and she answered okay thank you, and then I asked something next to that. Her face expressions and her attitude which is making you feel very uncomfortable. You can read from her face that she hates you :) she didn't want to answer she was like "I'm sorry I don't hear you, it's the fan " or whatever she said I don't remember now. As soon as owner came out and was standing behind her, her all attitude completely changed. She started smiling and telling me have a great day etc. She made feel terrible asking questions for the purpose of trying their products. I wouldn't give tip to her, I wasn't giving whenever I see a bad attitude, but I left some tip today but not Because how she treated me, because their bars are super tasty and I love whatever I eat there. Owner probably knows who I'm, I gave so much detail for her to guess who I am. She has such a nice place and popular in here. I just wanted her to know so she can improve her business for even better!“
“It takes a hidden gem like this to leave a review, as 5 star reviews are thrown around too easily these days. I have not left food review for a long time and after 5 visits, this place deserves it for consistency in taste, portion and service. I wish I can give 6 stars. Best fried CALAMARI in town. Meaty squid inside which is cooked to perfection, not too firm not too soft. With light bread coating outside. These rings remind onion rings because of size. Huge portions. Picture posted is when I had about last 1/5 left. Marinara sauce was warm and delicious as well. Usually go with seafood pasta for entree which you can’t go wrong but I tried Sicilian pizza this time and it was a delight. Crust baked to perfection. A lot of fresh meat and cheese on top. Service was very timely and staff was very friendly. Different waiters checked on me at different times for needs which provides faster service. Also owner/manager? checked on me too which made me feel valued. Whole atmosphere just feels like you are invited to an authentic Italian family dinner. My only wish is that my picture taking was better as these two pictures do not encapsulate what a fine dining experience this place gives!“
“Having a coffee and croissant her makes me feel like I am in the south of France and not in a strip mall. Outdoor seating, French music over the intercom and delicious coffee and treats... even the owner (I believe she is) very pleasant and focused on her customers. If not the owner, she deserves a promotion. Very enjoyable.“
“Great place to get brick oven wood fired pizzas! Amazing selection and variety of options. Loved their appetizers as well - risotto balls with prosciutto and parmesan cheese, and fried ravioli with ricotta cheese. Their beer selection was great as well - a lot of nice local beer on draft. Loved the Choco porter :) and the dessert, butterscotch pudding, is to die for!!! If you are ever in the Encinitas area and love pizza do try, and you won't be disappointed!!!“
“Always want coffee and found this spot hidden within other shops and what seemed to be apartments, well it turned out to be great! Little hard to find but once you do it makes sense. The staff was good, helpful and nice. It's tiny little shop with little room so definitely not a sit and enjoy your coffee type spot. The lattes were good but not great, the foam decor/art isn't their thing for sure. While not a must it's always a nice touch. Not sure I would come back for sure but in a crunch I wouldn't stay away.“
“I got a gift of a box... delish! Really elegant, and they would be perfect as a gift (which I enjoyed) or to set out as dessert for your next meeting or party! Very elegant, high-end, so don't get shocked at the price. You really do get what you pay for. I will be using them!“
“This is a great neighborhood place with warm, friendly professional staff. The managers, bartenders, waiters staff and bus people are all excellent. The piano players add a really nice touch as well. We love this place. Oh yeah, the food and drinks are top notch as well!“
“Man it's really gone down in quality and quantity since the last time I visited. I got the spicy chicken which was salty and tasted different then I remember. My so got the new orange chicken. We switched plates. The Orange chicken had a nice orange flavor. I remember when they'd give you enough to share. The lettuce wraps were still good, but they no longer offer the 3 chilies you can mix to you're liking of heat level. I won't be going back anytime soon.“
“This is a very nice pancake house and you can't go wrong with any of the breakfast items. I assume their strong suit is breakfast but I suspect the lunch options could also be quite decent. The omelette and waffles I got were great, but the one thing I absolutely recommend getting is the pancakes, even if it's just the plain version of it.“
“Got to come here for the first time with my friends! I had a cup of decaf coffee twas very fruity and cool experience! I like the vibe of this shop on the slight hill top! Friendly staffs are ready to serve you! Keep up the good work! Cheers“
“Good place for a nice meal. Very busy and loud. (I guess we showed up during happy hour or something). Food very nice presented and super tasty. Try "Ring of fire" if you like it spicy. Fried squid as a starter is a hit. Gyoza was okey, could have a bit more crunch to it. Over all, really good place. Service is really good, even when it's loyd and very busy. One strange thing though, TV over the sushi bar showing basket ball... feels a little bit off...and makes it even more "busy"/stressful.“
“If it wasn't for the people racing up and down Pac Hwy, this place would be perfect. The screaming motorcycles and dopes with loud exhaust echo through the restaurant. We had to yell through the noise during lunch. The food was fab and so was the service. About a 10 min wait to get into the door. I'll be back...“
“The Short-rib nachos are amazing and can split with 2-4 people. Great location to watch some games, grab drinks with friends, or casual bite after hanging at the beach. Great place to go year round but can get really crowded on days that are sunny/summer days when the beach is crowded. This goes for all of downtown “
“One of the best pizza places I've been to! I spent the weekend in Rosarito with family and on the way back I got hungry and stopped in Encinitas. The dispensary next door is the reason this establishment caught my eye in all honesty. Best decision I made was choosing this restaurant over the others that were crowded. We ordered the Mr. Moto and the California love pizza slices as well as the stuffed garlic knots. What made the pizza the best was honestly the service provided by the employee Leo. He went above and beyond to help us choose what we liked. He cooked everything and made sure it was fresh, and not overcooked. He also didn't disappoint in the choice of beer to go with my pizza!! On top of that he even checked up on us to see what we thought of everything. What else can you ask for?! BEST PIZZA AND BEER COMBO! CANT BEAT THE PRICE!!“
“Came here for the first time around 1:30 on March 1 Friday. Decided to stop by on my way home from UTC. Easy place to enter from Miramar road. Ordered the Joes Special and Philly with mushrooms. As I entered I was immediately greeted by a nice lady. Super friendly and helpful. Order was made fresh and quickly. She didn't call out my order number when it was ready she actually came out to the table and handed it to me and offered me hot sauce. Overall the food was good and service was great. Will def be back soon. =)“
“I love this place!!I was looking for a place to chill and eat after a long day of work until I stumbled into Ike’s sandwiches located in Sorrento valley! The staff were helpful and kind. I got the Matt Cain with double meat with banana peppers. It was delicious and left me satisfied. This is now my go to place after work.“
“Solana Sumptuous falls into the top 3 cookie places in SD county for me; specifically because they make a mean oatmeal chocolate cookie (OAT-M-G). I was introduced to this place by a co-worker who brought in several dozen for us to try on a couple of occasions. Ive had a few different flavors like their Solana Beach, PB, the OG chocolate chip, sea salt caramel, churro, and the Trifecta (stuffed), but the oatmeal chocolate is still my favorite. Single cookies range from $3-$4.50 depending on which one you get, and definitely place an order ahead of time if you're getting more than a few to ensure they have what you want. The in-store service is good and there always seems to be a constant stream of people popping in for a treat.“
