Not a retail bakery but the nice ladies in the office will run downstairs to get you some fresh rugula if you ask them. Delicious and unique.
Like a few others here, I am a native New Yorker with a love for authentic and delicious rugulach with proper and freash ingredients.Chewy's rugulach is the best there is here on the west coast.I pick up the chocolate rugulach at the cookie bar at Whole Foods Market in El Segundo, and you should too! Just the most delicious snack one could ask for. Love the raspberry (not usually a Raspberry fan of anything) and the apricot as well!
I grew up in NYC and have enjoyed rugulach since I was a child. I’ve had some very tasty bakery and homemade versions, but honestly nothing compares with Chewy’s. When they claim it’s the best you ever tasted they are 100% correct- it’s the best by far. It’s a unique style of rugulach, but from the thin and delicious cream cheese pastry to the dense, luscious fillings these rugulach are superior! Having one with a cup of coffee is one of my great joys in life.
