My friends are quite picky about sushi and for some reason have settled on this place rather than any of the smaller and better dedicated sushi restaurants. I've had the teppan-yaki here and would give that 4 stars, but the sushi is really not up to par. First the sushi chef pushed a number of specials (asking us twice to try them). The food is delicious. The staff is friendly. The atmosphere is both cozy and electric. The prices are a little high, but the quality is top notch so just be prepared to spend some money for a great meal.

The food and service here have been excellent both times I've been. The only place where I've had better salmon was in Seattle. The sushi here is very good. I lived in Japan and for about 1/2 an hour I was homesick. Bottom line, eat here. My favorite Japanese spot in San Diego county.
