How convenient this donut spot was close to the hike! AMBIANCE: Parking: Plenty of parking. It is a shared plaza but I didn't have any issues. Seating: Simple. 3 tables for small groups. Vibes: Mira Mesa isn't a downtown area. Just a spot with plazas and plazas thus plenty of good eats. The spot itself is relatively simple, a small donut shop with all donut and snack needs. Was very pleasantly surprised to see Francisco behind the counter of Donutopolis. He used to make the donuts for Donut Touch down the road. Am so happy to see him own his own store now. And, his store is closer to my home than the other place. He continues to make donuts that are light, soft and delicious! My favorites are the chocolate twist, custard-filled, and apple fritters.

Donuts are great, the maple-bacon bar is very tasty!On a whim the other day we got a couple of sandwiches from here, and WOW were were blown away! They were amazing , would highly recommend, and we will definitely be back for more!Dietary restrictions: They do have some gluten free options in the donut/(muffins?) Section.
