“I absolutely adore this place. I've been coming here since 2019, back when I lived in the area, and it's still just as good as it was back then (if not better). I highly recommend coming here; the food is high quality, the atmosphere is top notch, and the customer service is excellent 👌 10/10“

“The ramen is delicious, but if you're thinking of adding on broccolini skip it. They charge $1 for literally the smallest piece I've ever seen and when I called to voice my concern about feeling ripped off, they didn't care. I feel like if you're paying $20 for a bowl of ramen you should get what you pay for“

“A ramen that was simple, not overly rich, and the perfect portion size. The prices are reasonable for the quality and the hole in the wall style helps elevate this restaurant. The service was amazing and quick. I will return once again to try some more“

“I love this place! Their food is amazing! I’m totally in love with their sakura lemonade. Their limited edition chicken ramen is on another level! Their bao buns are as good as they come. Pork ramen is really good as well, the Japanese karaage fried chicken (I think that’s the name) and gyoza are amazingly tasty.
Everything is always fresh, always friendly, and the place is usually full of people, which says a lot for me.“

“Fast casual Japanese eatery specializing in ramen and small rice bowls. Go-to place for the family to pick up takeout or eat in the common food court area within the Mitsuwa grocery store.
A family favorite is the char siu rice bowl (side dish #45). It is simple comfort food with warm and plump short grain rice, topped with tender pork and freshly sliced green onions. The shichimi (seven flavor chili powder) offered at the counter is a nice complement.
The Hiyashi ramen is a cold noodle summer special. Two slices of tender pork, green onions, red pickled ginger, thinly sliced cucumber, and other goodies. Santouka offers three types of sauce - tried the spicey sauce, but felt the mala overpowered the dish a bit. Would recommend the shoyu or sesame sauces and then adding shichimi for more heat.“

“Hole in the wall restaurant with amazing food. Reasonably priced, very friendly staff, and quick service. Always heard about this place and finally made it out and it did not disappoint!
1st trip here but definitely won't be the last.
Make sure to get there early and get your name written down on the paper.“

“Delicious ramen here and sometimes the wait is not too long. You get a nice view of the koi pond if you’re outside.
The broth is very rich though so you’re able to adjust things like oil and salt level, etc.
Meat is nice and tender, overall delicious broth and noodle texture. One of the better ramen choices here“

“We had a magnificent dinner last evening at Elvira in Ocean Beach. It's the less formal sister restaurant to Cesarina. They put as much care into their food as to their creative and fun-loving website, and their decor and truly personal service are outstanding. We don't say this often in San Diego, but they serve cuisine, not just food. At last, a San Diego restaurant which serves hot, al dente pasta, and the pork ragu was luscious and the meaty baby back rib was an extra treat in the Fettucine Maile e Spuntature. Both of our entrees were excellent: half chicken and lamb chops prepared on a wood fired grill, with slightly crisp Yukon gold potatoes with a wonderful flavor and fantastic Romanesco broccoli with a beautiful texture. The choux pastry in the dessert was lighter than air and would be proudly served in a Parisian restaurant. Having the chocolate sauce in its own dish and the chantilly cream in its own pastry piping bag meant each of us could fashion our preferred dessert combination. The accompanying fresh peaches were delectable. Sparkling wine and red wine were also good and very fairly priced. I understand Elvira opened in November 2023 - wish we hadn't taken this long to experience the wonderful ambiance, service, decor, and Italian cuisine.“

“I had a great experience at SilverLake Ramen! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was cozy, and everything was served fresh. A special thank you to Yza for her excellent service. She was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. Her warm and professional attitude made our dining experience even more enjoyable. I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend SilverLake Ramen, especially if you’re lucky enough to be served by Yza!“

“Solid noodle spot, but the flavors don’t hit quite the same as the Clairmont location. Atmosphere feels a little less inviting too probably because you pay right at the entrance, which gives more food court vibes than ramen hangout energy. That said, the self-serve sauce station is elite. Spicy mayo, garlic, ginger, chili oil, mayo, and more lets you customize everything exactly how you want. Big plus for the easy-access to-go plates too. Overall, convenient mall location with some nice perks, even if the OG spot still wins.“

“this was the very first time i ate something so delicious that i felt like writing a review on how good it is, our server was extremely kind we felt very welcomed there. the drinks and appetizers got to the table in 3-5 minutes and the entrees got to the table around 10 minutes after ordering them(we did not feel rushed btw i really appreciated the fast service) and when my ramen got to the table it was amazing, the broth was rich and creamy and just the right amount of salty, the noodles were delicious and not too mushy but were still nice and soft, the pork was so rich and flavorful and it just melts in your mouth and the way that the flavors all came together was truly enlightening.“

“Covid-19 take out can be a hit or miss with food tasting like it's container. This place did not disappoint. I ordered the Vegan Ramen for a late lunch. Inside the restaurant is following proper protocol and is very clean. I have always ordered Vegan Ramen anywhere I visit outside of California, and have ordered all over San Diego. This by far is the BEST Vegan Ramen out there. The coconut milk, chili and miso broth is well balanced and buttery, the noodles and added ingredients are well proportioned, the tofu is not at all mushy or greasy..The noodles are fresh and delicious. for a couple dollars more you can add more noodles.. Definitely a stop for some comfort food!“

“My friends and I normally come here after work since it closes late + the food is exceptional. However tonight’s original service was deeply disappointing. Tina, our original server, was extremely rude and neglectful. We understand restaurant being busy, however, waiting over 30 minutes for a hot appetizer (which came out cold) began to feel ridiculous. Tina interacted with our table once and from there delegated her tasks into other servers, despite us being in her section + walking past our table multiple times without checking in. We aren’t ones to complain usually, but it got to a point where we asked for a new server and a new appetizer. Jake was very kind and brought us a new appetizer!
Elise, our new server, was the GOAT. She really stepped up and helped us with a smile on her face. She changed the entire atmosphere! She truly was an amazing server and the service we’re used to getting here. She represents great hospitality and overall quality.
This would have been a one star review had Elise and Jake not saved the day!! Thank you to you both for changing our night!!“

“I recently picked up some food to go, and it was the perfect choice for a night out by the water. Everything was packed thoughtfully, including those cute heart-shaped containers that made for such a fun beach picnic setup.
The sushi was fresh and flavorful, and the ramen had a perfectly cooked egg with a rich broth. We really enjoyed the variety in our order. It was such a great meal under the moon, and I will definitely be back for more soon.“

“My highest commendations for this place. Tonight is my fourth or fifth time, and now I feel comfortable coming by myself, at 11pm, on a Sunday. Because the food is good. Really good. They do something with the rice and spices and garlic that I can’t do and that I don’t do, so when I come here it’s like fireworks in my mouth.“

“I was so amazed by the lunch I had at Urbn Sushi today. The sashimi was incredibly fresh and of HIGH quality, and the miso soup was delicious without being overly salty like other places. If you find yourself in La Jolla/the San Diego area, I highly recommend giving this place a try. It’s a place where local enjoy and truly is a hidden gem. The clean, welcoming atmosphere and genuine service made my experience all the more satisfying.“

“Hands down the best ramen I’ve had! Everything was delicious - we had the garlic spicy edamame, oxtail ramen, and spare-rib ramen. We asked for non-pork broths and were given two great alternatives that were perfectly paired with our ramen orders. The atmosphere and service were excellent. Highly recommend! Will definitely be back“

“I didn't have the sushi, maybe next time. I went with the chicken curry katsu, spicy. The flavor was very good but I think they forgot to make it spicy. I didn't detect any spice to it. They have a nice selection of craft brews on tap and the service was very friendly. Overall I liked this place and will go again.“

“Been a minute since we have eaten at Silverlake Ramen. Ordered the Ramen Combo - Tonkotsu Ramen with grilled chicken and a side of gyoza (4 pieces). We also ordered a side of edamame. Washed it down with a cold glass of Sapporo. The Ramen was perfect in its miso soup. The Thousands Island-Aioli sauce (that’s what it tasted like) had a nice lil kick for the gyoza. Edamame was a good starter as usual. Service was okay. Domo arigato gozare masu.“

“Delicious all-you-can-eat sushi at Sushi Factory near SDSU! On weekends it’s $40 for the all you can eat and there’s a 2 hour time limit or 3 rounds of ordering. We enjoyed a lot of nigiri: bluefin, toro, scallop, salmon, yellowtail, ikura, surf clam, sweet shrimp, albacore, masago, eel, tuna. We also had the sashimi combo, the sushi rolls: sexy poke, Star Wars, and compa, the tonkotsu ramen, soft shell crab, takoyaki, eel & avocado and spicy tuna hand rolls, and shrimp tempura. Very friendly and attentive service. Recommend!“
