Tajima Ramen East Village Reviews
The ramen is delicious, but if you're thinking of adding on broccolini skip it. They charge $1 for literally the smallest piece I've ever seen and when I called to voice my concern about feeling ripped off, they didn't care. I feel like if you're paying $20 for a bowl of ramen you should get what you pay for
El ramen vegetariano y el frijol verde
The pork ramen was delicious 🍜

Tajima Ramen East Village is a delightful restaurant known for its great service and friendly atmosphere. The food consistently impresses, featuring excellent broth and flavor in their ramen dishes. Popular selections include the Tajima Black, which comes with black garlic oil, and the authentic Japanese tonkotsu ramen. Families appreciate the special kids' menu that includes a delicious ramen option. The restaurant also offers standout dishes like karaage and chicken chashu fried rice, making it a popular spot for those with varying tastes.
Guests enjoy the relaxed setting with both indoor and outdoor seating and benefit from game day specials for food and drink combos. Happy hour deals, like the Tajima Tuesday, provide great value, allowing customers to enjoy items such as edamame, kimchi, a salmon hand roll, and a pork chashu bowl at an affordable price. While the food is delicious and the service is attentive without being intrusive, parking can be challenging in this area, so visitors should prepare to pay for nearby parking options.
Recent reviews highlight the hearty servings, with one customer mentioning the carnitas ramen and spicy tuna crispy rice, both highly recommended. The tonkotsu ramen with rich, creamy broth was praised for its flavor, and the pork chashu bowl and matcha panna cotta received positive remarks. The vegan ramen was also noted as being as good as anywhere on the West Coast, with a good mix of ingredients and a side of chili sauce for spice. Guests enjoy the friendly service and the value of happy hour prices, especially for beer. However, some found outdoor seating less pleasant due to unpleasant odors, suggesting that sitting inside might be a better choice.
