“Everyone in our house used to like poke. After we found Poke Chop, we LOVE poke! They have so many options of fish and sauces and toppings. I’ve never found as big of a selection. My daughter would eat here every day if I’d let her. There aren’t many places in Hillcrest where a family of 3 can get dinner for around $30, and be totally stuffed, and not feel blah afterwards. The fish is always really fresh. The only thing that could make it better is if they added mango, mmmmm. We try to eat there as much as possible because it will be a very sad day if they close. (It’s a reality in the Hillcrest restaurant business ☹️).“

“I really enjoy Poke places that provide a lot of options for different customers. I was really happy to see that they had mango, pineapple, and their spicy krab is fire! The poke was cut nicely, sometimes poke to too chunky, their poke was cut precisely and you get the right amount with every bite. Additionally, there were a lot of sauce choices. If I’m in the area, I’m definitely coming back!“

“This is our go-to poke place in PB! Fish is usually pretty fresh if you don't go at the end of the day. My only gripe: people who have never been before don't know how the ordering process works, and drastically slows things down. They need to put menus outside of the store and right when you walk in, since the current menu is on the wall essentially AS you're ordering.“

“This was the best poke I’ve had (that isn’t in Hawaii)! Also the staff was super knowledgeable about gluten free options (I had the ginger ahi and spicy salmon, both gf). The long line moved pretty quickly on a Friday afternoon“

“i went here back to back during my trip because it was that good. the poke was fresh, flavorful, and those serrano peppers on top? absolute game changer.

the staff was awesome too. everyone was welcoming, respectful, and genuinely happy to help. the portions were generous and everything tasted incredibly fresh.

i’m not even from san diego, but this quickly became one of my favorite spots while visiting. if i lived nearby, it would honestly be dangerous because i’d probably be here all the time. great food, great service, and an all around awesome experience. highly recommend pacific beach poke house!“

“So delicious! The California roll was the best one I’ve ever had- it was made fresh and very tasty. The spam musubi was delicious as well- hot and the rice cooked perfectly. The gyoza was good as well. The prices are fair, and the service was great.“

They have a large selection of drinks and snacks as well.

They charge $1 for literally the smallest piece I've ever seen and when I called to voice my concern about feeling ripped off, they didn't care. I feel like if you're paying $20 for a bowl of ramen you should get what you pay for“

“Ordered the Tajima Black ramen, and had a great balance to the broth, not too oily and heavy, anf the garlic flavor was nice. The pork had a great flavor and texture, and the egg was yummy, not too runny but still soft and slightly sweet! The noodles were thin and chewy, which is my preference, so I enjoyed them a lot! Friendly and attentive staff, and the interior was very warm and inviting yet cool vibe to it.“

“My new go to for fresh fish. I was spending about $120 each trip to Point Loma Seafoods. Gave Catalina a chance.
Spent $86 plus tip ( tip well,these guys remember you when you are back) Rafael chose the best piece of each kind I pointed and offered to do more, went above and beyond to make my first purchase memorable.
The tastings on the tiny cups sre tasty. Service is excellent. Fish is FRESH!
Next time I will try the seafood and will be here earlier. Got here at about 2pm.
Aguachile looked great, next time.

They have a large selection of sparkling wine beers shellfish condiments like wasabi, seasoned oils, dressings, fish roe, nori, everything for sushi! sauces, marinades, crackers, Cento tomato products.
Lots of good stuff.

“I am so happy to have this place in the midst of some of the favorite Japanese places of San Diego (Azuki, Hane and Kinme). Su Su is special amongst there rest. It is quaint. Fresh. Simple. Fast. And sweet.

In a world of rising prices where lunches out start costing $100 with tip, Su Su delivers exceptional sushi, poke with grab and go options.

This place speaks “family run, family dream”. No glitz. Just a place that welcomes you.
