“reminds me of Taiwan, specifically a typical cafe in Gaoxiong, which is the most comparable place to SD in the US. It's spacious, comfortable (cushion for butts without cushion), family-friendly, pet-friendly, games for kids, a piano: it's basically a day-care center. The decoration is very DIY and neat, which is what really gave me Taiwan vibes. Yellow lights (I don't know why other shops use bright white office lights..) They know how to decorate on a budget. Clean bathroom. Clearly a family business. The owners are from Guangdong, but theyre quite different from the city people. Maybe San Diego slowed them down.. If this is the vibe of SD, I'm def lovin' it!
drinks are pricey, $6+ with boba. Boba isn't free. Standard milk tea is solid, but even at 30% sweetness, it's quite sweet. Egg puff for $5 is cute.
only downside is the location is on a random busy street corner, and you might have to look for parking.“

“Ordered the Ube mochi donut and the coffee black tea. The drink was amazing, perfect amount of sweetness and balance of coffee/tea flavor. The $4 donut was mediocre. Service was a bit slow as there was only one worker. Parking lot limited with tight/cramped spots.“

“Don’t order with your eyes because you won’t finish… trust me, it’s that good! They have to have the “best” Viet BANH CUON (steamed rice rolls) in town! Also the best BANH Mi Chao (Beef, sausage, meatball, eggs, and French roll skillet) for a great value too! I will most definitely come back again …and I live 30 minutes away in East Chula Vista! I highly recommend. 5 STARS!!!“

“One of the best and cleanest China hot pot spot in the universe. Promise you won’t get the runs afterwards. Great food selection and a ton of soup base to choose from. Oh and they have the best selection of dipping sauce as well. Must try if you’re visiting the San Diego area. I drove nearly an hour and half in traffic for dinner.“
“Cute tea shop in Del Mar strip mall. It was busy when I arrived (good sign). I got a black jade milk tea omomo style with tiramisu foam and brown sugar boba. It was $8 and delicious. There's no place to sit inside or out but I found tables just down the sidewalk.“

The super pleasant stuff was fantastic . We tried their spring rolls and other steamed rice cakes . I heart this joint and can’t wait to come back for the catering“

“Certainly my favorite restaurant in San Diego! The food is fresh, healthy and bursting with flavor! My daughter loves the chicken rice bowl and purple taro milk tea. My personal favorite is the lychee ice tea. It is the perfect thirst quencher on a hot summer day! The staff is truly wonderful. They are always so friendly, courteous and go out of their way to make you feel welcomed. They are definitely the type of people you call family.“

“Check this place out, lots of great bubble tea options. I personally enjoy the jungle coffee and sea salt coffee flavors with boba or coffee jellies. Wife swears by the avocado smoothie with crystal boba. This is a hidden gem for sure! Support this exceptional business when you get the chance, you will be happy you did!“

“I love their gyokuro sencha!! It is my go-to every time I come down to Convoy. The staff is always so friendly and helpful, and they're pretty fast with making drinks. I was kind of shocked to see another boba store open right next to them, so I try to support them as much as I can 😅“

“This place is great in my opinion, both generally and it’s a nice go-to spot for me when it comes to treating myself or going here to study. The service here is great too, alongside the variety of drinks even though I always get the same thing there, but even then the variety here is great. Sometimes I’ll ask my parents if they want something and they always manage to make a “mini-list” of what they would drink in case they want something. Overall, I absolutely love this spot and would absolutely walk here any chance I get to, the walk is worth it. ^_^“

“From day one YoYo was terrific. She intently listened to what I wanted and from there recommended their house tea blend. But it did not stop there, she created a concoction that was not so sweet and not loaded with tea or ice. Gotta tell you it was perfect! And here is the best part, I have been going back to get this drink consistently for the last few months and each time she makes it perfect. Others have tried, but just cannot get it right (besides Diane who by the way is also terrific). Suffice to say I am a loyal customer and appreciate all the effort and attention these two women put into making my drink. YoYo is phenomenal and a true asset to this location. It is obvious that she really cares and does not just go thru the motions. While I have tried many boba tea places throughout San Diego over the years, this place is the best and worth the drive every time. If you are looking for a good boba tea shop, your search is over.“

“Found Yipbee Boba on yelp!
I ordered my usual drink every boba shop I go to:
-passion fruit green tea, boba included for $6.05
Pricing was more normal than other places haha...boba was cooked well. Tea flavor could definitely be a bit stronger.
There is some seating inside.
Easy parking in the plaza.“

“On my way to Marshalls, I stopped by this locations which had an extensive menu. Initially, I considered the mango pineapple tea, but since it was afternoon and I wanted to avoid caffeine, I opted for the caffeine-free sparkling strawberry lime tea instead. The staff member was helpful in confirming caffeine or not, and the order was prepared quickly. While the tea tasted good, I found the strawberry purée a bit heavy, as I prefer smoother teas without pulp. Next time, I'll choose a tea without purée. Overall, I would recommend this refreshing option.“

“Spacious and welcoming, clean room. The faucet doesn't work in the women's bathroom but they have one in the hallway. Staff very busy preparing ice creams and not very welcoming if you ask them for help at the automatic checkout. In any case, a good gastronomic product.“

“Very kind cashier and was very helpful with answering my questions! I have only tried one drink so far— the assam—but it was very yummy. It is not as sweet as other boba places but I don’t mind it that much! The boba is delicious itself which is nice. Definitely have to try more drinks here!“

“This place is very interesting. Theres always someone practicing instruments on the little stage but ive never been here for an actual performance.
I asked for a blended Vietnamese milk coffee which isnt on the menu but they whipped it right up.
The drinks are always good and the man who i think runs the place is always nice, attentive and quick.“

“I come here almost daily because I am obsessed with their match Tres leches with matcha boba and egg pudding. It's a combination that lives in my taste buds memory. like the marriage between a matcha frappe with flan. At the family table came boba and a snow cap that easily translates to tantalizing flavors jumping for joy! Then the Bahn mi is packed with the perfect ratio of meat, picked carrots, cucumber, and JALAPEÑOS!!! I love a jalapeño that delivers and these always hit the mark. The fact that the ingredients are fresh and natural are major brownie points.“

“DaYung is in the corner of a strip mall, and the parking is really tight. If you can't find any in the lot, you can try for free street parking. The inside is also tight, not much space to wait. There are a couple benches only, no tables.
I made a trip to five different boba shops on Convoy to rank their "boba milk tea". I tried to get the closest to black tea if they had more than one option. I chose 100% sweetness and no ice (to eliminate dilution). Here are my ratings:
1 Camellia: boba milk tea, regular milk $6.38
2 Chakaa: ruby milk tea w brown sugar boba, regular milk $5.75
3 Tan-Cha: celon milk tea w caramel boba, non-dairy milk $7.25
4 Yun Tea House: Monkey King w boba, lactose-free house milk $7.28
5 DaYung: boba milk tea, non-dairy creamer $5.88
[Caveat: I think DaYung made a mistake on the order because it had some ice in the drink when I picked it up. When I tasted it at home, it tasted watered down and completely bland, like there was no sugar. So I think instead of 100% sugar and 0% ice, they gave me 0% sugar and 100% ice.]
My friend called them to let them know of the mistake, and the manager offered to refund the money. That was incredibly nice of them to do so.
In terms of the actual boba balls, DaYung's ranked #4. It was too mushy. There was no chewiness. That's too bad because I remember liking their boba.
They still have week day promos. The current one for every day is anything strawberry.

“Okay…..So here’s the rub as they say.Great spot. They were very helpful in creating an adventurous drink that I enjoyed. I don’t get boba very often as I’ve found that sometimes it’s not worth the hype, but it was on the better side.I found the staff to be helpful, the establishment was clean, and they had tables outside to enjoy the summer. Overall, I would say it’s best than most spots and I would actually come back. It’s in the corner of a little shopping center though meaning parking is tight.“

“Overall, good experience. Boba was average, the drink was good. Unless you are a toppings fan, not worth it. I did not try the fries, which looked fantastic! I regret that now. I’m not sure if I would go again, but it was definitely cool to make my own boba! “

“After my hubby and I went to cvs we decided to drop by Tastea and try it out. We ordered avocado avalanche & lychee freeze. I knew once I saw the avocado that it was my drink. The cashier Emily was really polite to us. Emily asked us if we have the app I told her no, afterwards I download it. She told us just scan the QR code on the app. The avocado and lychee were really good. We will definitely come back in the future.“

“This is my favorite boba spot in San Diego! I try to go to boba places that use authentic ingredients such as real tea and milk (no powdered milk or artificial flavoring). Camellia Rd uses honey to sweeten their boba and cane sugar syrup for their milk teas. Their tea selection is fantastic with great flavor so if you are a tea person this is the place for you. They also have boardgames available in shop so my husband and I love to come here for a quick date and bring our baby. it can get crowded and there are often lots of people studying. Coming in the evening or at an off time is recommended. When it’s not crowded it is a nice open space with room for strollers if you’re a mom out there! Board games too if you have older kids. They have alternative milk options and rotating seasonal flavors. They also dont accept cash. There is a free parking lot outside but again can get crowded and be difficult to find parking but it is a large lot so if you are persistent you’ll find a spot eventually. 10/10 would recommend as a great family spot, place to hangout, or study.“
