“Really good milk tea!! The mocha mochi donut, the oreo Mochi donut, and the ube Mochi donuts were the best! I wish I could've tried the Black Sesame flavor but they were all out.
Parking: We went on a Sunday, but it's always hard to find parking in Hillcrest. We got lucky and found street parking a couple blocks away.“

“We were walking around the plaza and decided to try out this place. I'm so glad we did. It may not appeal to many people, but it is delicious. I am also glad that it is very healthy. I think this is a great alternative to bubble tea. It has a similar vibe. I would definitely recommend everyone try this. Please ssupport this business!“

“One of the best, consistently good boba places I’ve been to. Not too sweet. Boba is just the right texture to me, and I love their grass jelly. I always get the Thai tea or a fruit tea. Good açaí bowl too. Welcoming place to hang out with couches and tables. It is across the street from high school and next to stronghold, so it can get busy with kids after school, but service is still fast.“

“First Happy Lemon I've tried in San Diego!
Coming from Norcal, I was pleased that my rewards card traveled down to Socal.
Surprisingly though, they don't have the same menus. I was looking for my usual passion fruit green tea, but they didn't have it. I opted to get the strawberry green tea (sub the topping for boba) for $6.75. Similar to Norcal prices.
Boba here is quite good. I came another time in the evening on my trip and they definitely get really busy. Huge plus is that they open late (which is why they do so well).
Parking in the lot hasn't been an issue for me yet!
A ton of seating inside which was nice. No Norcal Happy Lemon has as much seating as this location.
Perfect boba spot to satisfy your boba needs!“

“Don’t order with your eyes because you won’t finish… trust me, it’s that good! They have to have the “best” Viet BANH CUON (steamed rice rolls) in town! Also the best BANH Mi Chao (Beef, sausage, meatball, eggs, and French roll skillet) for a great value too! I will most definitely come back again …and I live 30 minutes away in East Chula Vista! I highly recommend. 5 STARS!!!“
“great quality tea!
you can smell the sweet tea aroma the second you walk into the shop
this is a busy plaza and hard to get to from the san diego area because del mar isn’t really connected to the MTS system
for runners, i love to start out in la jolla, near UCSD campus, run along torrey pines trail all the way to the state beach (nice downhill), and then climb 700+ feet alongside the pacific coast highway and then turn up the extreme incline of del mar heights rd, then the omomo will taste phenomenal and you don’t have to worry about parking“

“Very impressive Banh Mi sandwich here at Bale French Sandwiches! Their price is unbeatable, all the Banh mi are under $6.5, and their size aren’t too small. It’s like a 6 inch sandwich, perfect for one person. The sandwich has a lot of stuff inside, it’s filled with veggies and meat. I ordered a BBQ pork and a beef Banh mi, both are awesome. I highly recommend this place, plus their service is so friendly!“

“Certainly my favorite restaurant in San Diego! The food is fresh, healthy and bursting with flavor! My daughter loves the chicken rice bowl and purple taro milk tea. My personal favorite is the lychee ice tea. It is the perfect thirst quencher on a hot summer day! The staff is truly wonderful. They are always so friendly, courteous and go out of their way to make you feel welcomed. They are definitely the type of people you call family.“

“Daboba is located in a classic abg spot in kearny mesa and has a huge store with lots of seating. They have a vast menu with variety of drinks ranging from teas, to fruit drinks, to smoothies. We got the oolong milk tea with boba 50% sweet, 50% ice, and it was pretty sweet still with the boba.Boba was a lil too chewy but drinks came out pretty fast.Parking is okay but might get busy.Overall would recommend!“

“Check this place out, lots of great bubble tea options. I personally enjoy the jungle coffee and sea salt coffee flavors with boba or coffee jellies. Wife swears by the avocado smoothie with crystal boba. This is a hidden gem for sure! Support this exceptional business when you get the chance, you will be happy you did!“

“i got a sea salt caramel coffee with boba and i enjoyed it! i think the wait was a little too long for one drink and being the only person in the store but i’d return if i find myself in the area again.
i’m surprised it was a bit empty!
Dietary restrictions: offers non-dairy creamer and oatmilk!“

“Hey Chakaa y’all the best boba in the town ?
I used to went there at least once a week, but after they raised the price 1$ more I stopped going. But this is still the best and favorite boba in San Diego :)
Hope sometimes store owner can offer some BOGO or promotion or points redemption(like buy 10 get 1 free)“

“This place is a great stop if you like boba and appreciate a variety of options. You can do the basic boba milk tea, but what I really enjoyed was the smashed avocado. My son like the strawberry matcha. They also have smoothies and many other varieties.“

“TLDR:
Great variety, great drinks, nice space, free parking, worth the trip! (Have headphones if you are very sensitive to sound)
We went here 3x over the course of my short visit with family. Highly recommend coming here drinks, atmosphere and service were all great!
The staff were friendly and knowledgeable for making recommendations for some in our group newer to trying Milk Tea and Bobba. I prefer a tea forward option while my niece is all about the sugar. The menu was diverse enough that everyone was able to find something they really enjoyed. They did match from scratch (amazing ❤️)instead of a premade mix with sugar. Definitely worth the cost per drink which I can't say about many places these days.
We tried and really enjoyed the:
Chocolate Oreo Stormy w/ Brown Sugar Bobba
Matcha Milk Tea w/ Brown Sugar Bobba
Mango Matcha latte w/ Brown Sugar Bobba
Hokkaido Milk Tea w/ Custard
Coconut Stormy w/ Brown Sugar Bobba
Parking: Busy but easy enough to find parking may walk a little to find a spot.
Kid-friendliness: A fair amount of room to move around easily and there are lots of anime references on the walls that keep people of any age distracted for some time.“
“Was looking for better boba spots in the SDSU area and found this place and it is by far the best one. Service was quick and amazing and the quality of drinks are outstanding. Definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a fun drink at SDSU and I'll definitely be coming back soon.“

“Perfect icy treat on a hot day!
I’ve missed out on Meet Fresh and having just tasted this for the first time this weekend makes me feel so late in the game lol.
We were out here visiting family and my niece treated us to have Meet Fresh. This Taiwanese chain is located on Mira Mesa Blvd near Daiso and H Mart.
We shared a “Mangoberry”, which was half Strawberry and half Mango shaved ice (like a Japanese Kakigori) with topped with a vanilla ice cream. This reminded me of Guppy Tea House that I used to visit 20 years ago in the OC. I liked the ice because it had a “fine” texture (not as fine or sharp as snow cones but a delicate-for-your-tongue and stays-icy texture).
My niece ordered one of their Icy Grass Jelly with taro balls, mochi and sesame balls. Unfortunately, I was not a fan of it as the grass jelly had a slightly bitter aftertaste.
There were plenty of seats when we came.
Orders were done via the kiosk. And it was super packed inside this shop.
They also had drinks like iced teas, smoothies, and egg waffles available.
Definitely worth a visit and thankful my niece took us here! Looking forward to my next visit!
Parking: The plaza is busy and parking can be difficult during peak hours“

“Excellent value for what you get. Also generally the atmosphere is very laid back which is great for hangouts. I have came by a few nights lately though and whoever is in charge of music puts on really obnoxious and loud rock music... where I can't hear my friends talking over.Note to employees: Please keep the music volume at a level where we can hear the person across from us at. Also please reevaluate the night music.. some of the rock songs are straight up obnoxious and the language in some of the songs are highly inappropriate not suitable for kids. I see a lot of families coming here.. and obviously I can't recommend any to join me when music like that is on.“

“Okay…..So here’s the rub as they say.Great spot. They were very helpful in creating an adventurous drink that I enjoyed. I don’t get boba very often as I’ve found that sometimes it’s not worth the hype, but it was on the better side.I found the staff to be helpful, the establishment was clean, and they had tables outside to enjoy the summer. Overall, I would say it’s best than most spots and I would actually come back. It’s in the corner of a little shopping center though meaning parking is tight.“

“This is my favorite boba shop in San Diego. The flavor of the teas and juices is excellent.
The brown sugar boba is fantastic and their boba has the perfect texture or “Q”. I took my friend here and he said after trying this boba other places feel like you’re chewing on plastic balls. For me perfect boba is soft yet has the perfect amount of slight spring and chewiness, like a perfectly done al denté pasta. At this place the boba texture and flavor is always on point.
Now onto the teas. The teas here are high quality and freshly brewed, they are not made from cheap powdered mixes. I am a fan of the TGY tea Tie Guan Yuan, the roasted oolong, the classic milk tea and the Thai style tea. Love the flavor and that you can customize sweetness here. The coffee boba is also excellent.
Finally, the fresh fruits and juices. I am a huge fan of the kumquat citrus fruit which is native to Southeast Asia, from my travels to Vietnam and Taiwan. I have tried drinks made with this fruit at other boba shops in San Diego and they were absolutely terrible - they tasted like they were made from some sort of concentrate or artificial flavor that did not taste like the real fruit at all. I asked the owner of Me Me Tea and Desserts how they make their citrus kumquat green tea and where the kumquat in the drink comes from, and she explained that they order the kumquat fruit as a frozen paste from Taiwan. I will tell you, this drink is the real deal and absolutely delicious. I recommend it ordered 30% sweet and add aloe chunks or lychee.
Everything on the menu here is so high quality and I am very pleased to have found a boba shop here in San Diego that is as good as the ones I frequented during my travels through Taiwan. The staff is also super nice and everything is run efficiently“

“The GuanYin Latte has a nice tea flavor. I got it with 30% sugar and less ice. Boba texture not too soft or too hard. Next time I will try it with the milk foam. Cute decorations inside, but it's more a place to pick up good boba rather than sit down. There's a bench for waiting.“

“$8 for a large Thai tea boba blend. Good size. Tea is good. Atmosphere, lol I thought everyone took lunch break or something. Cafe looked empty, lighting is dark, maybe paint too. Some chairs and tables stacked up by the side. Y’all need new color interior and more lights. It looked kinda sketch. But the person who helped me was nice. Cute little place, just make it more lively, add some music, add more art stuff on the wall.“

“One of my favorite late night boba spots!!!! It does get a little crowded in the evening, especially on weekends but the boba and food is delicious. Although the space is small, there are lots of seating, we have never had an issue. When busy be prepared for a bit of a wait but overall the food and drinks are good and the dining space is great. There’s a small parking lot but might have to find street parking.“

“This is a very well known place for milk tea fanatics in San Diego. Located at UTC, which is one of the most beautiful shopping mall in the heart of LA Jolla, thus there are so many things to do with friends around, not just drinking boba. However, their drink formula is TOO sweet, even with half sugar adjusted. Parking is only 2 hrs free, and if you want just to go for boba, walking and parking could be a hassle.
Parking: First 2 hrs free“

“Overall, good experience. Boba was average, the drink was good. Unless you are a toppings fan, not worth it. I did not try the fries, which looked fantastic! I regret that now. I’m not sure if I would go again, but it was definitely cool to make my own boba! “

“Teaspoon catered my cousin’s baby shower this past weekend and their boba drinks were perfectly milky. I love a milk tea that actually tastes like milk rather than watered- or iced-down milk tea. The boba balls, however, were overcooked and too soft for my liking. I prefer them to be chewy that soft.Sadly, I didn’t get photos of just the drink (or setup) since I only have photos of family and other guests with their boba drinks. My cousin had custom-named drinks that were close to their names and flavors, which I thought were so cute! The flavors they offered were Thai Tea, Mango Milk Tea, and Taro Milk Tea. I chose the Mango Milk Tea and enjoyed it.Overall, the two employees did a really great job handling the Boba Bar and all of the guests (there was a long line). It was a hit at the boba-themed event!Good job, Teaspoon!“

“The Thai tea was not my favorite, but this is a great place to hang out with friends! My friend and I got so much homework done, and I also saw some couples on dates and friends just chilling. They have some board games and lots of indoor seating. The music playing was also great, not too loud and lots of great songs. Bathroom is clean.“

“After my hubby and I went to cvs we decided to drop by Tastea and try it out. We ordered avocado avalanche & lychee freeze. I knew once I saw the avocado that it was my drink. The cashier Emily was really polite to us. Emily asked us if we have the app I told her no, afterwards I download it. She told us just scan the QR code on the app. The avocado and lychee were really good. We will definitely come back in the future.“
