“My husband had a company party and I called the night before if there was an option to do catering for 8 people. One of the employees there answered and did her best to answer everything. I ended up getting in touch with the manager (Joyce) and she was extremely helpful. She made sure everything went smoothly. My husband's party was going to be in Encinitas but we live in Santee so Joyce said she could have everything ready in Del Mar where they have another restaurant called Xin Chao Eatery. It was super nice for them to accommodate for us and make things easier so we wouldn't have to stress about the company party. Thank you so much Joyce and Justin for being the best!! “I first spotted Kung Fu Tea after dining on sushi in the same mini mall. So I went in and saw they had a matcha red bean slush. I'm embarrassed to say that every time I've gone in there, I've ordered the matcha red bean slush. Dang it, I keep saying to myself that I'll try some of their other drinks - there are MANY. But I have found no other tea shop that serves the red beans which I dearly love.“

“Very impressive Banh Mi sandwich here at Bale French Sandwiches! Their price is unbeatable, all the Banh mi are under $6.5, and their size aren’t too small. It’s like a 6 inch sandwich, perfect for one person. The sandwich has a lot of stuff inside, it’s filled with veggies and meat. I ordered a BBQ pork and a beef Banh mi, both are awesome. I highly recommend this place, plus their service is so friendly!“

“We went here because it was the only place open before 11 AM in the area and we really wanted Boba. however, we were pleasantly surprised by their large selection of drinks, kind, staff, and calm ambience. Their service was quick, and they had some unique drink selections. I personally got the kiwi basil, green tea and added lychee coconut jelly, which was delicious and very refreshing. They said that this was a popular pick and I can see why. Overall, I would definitely come here again!“
“First time visiting. At first I was like where is the parking then I went through the back and found ample parking. You can’t tell from the outside but the inside is absolutely relaxing! Because of the white interior of your entry area, it looks like the doors are papered over from a short distance. “Delicious food with a really nice atmosphere. It's not fancy, but it's relaxed and comfortable and best of all, not noisy. We were looking for a place where you can hold a conversation (as opposed to the concrete-floored noise chambers most restaurants have become), and this was perfect. “I have to knock a star off because they don't have any plant milk options, only that "non-dairy creamer" which has milk proteins in it. They do have a "fresh tea" drink selection so I ordered a rose oolong tea with boba, 70% sweet. It was really good! The tea flavor was strong but properly brewed with no bitterness, and the rose was deliciously aromatic but not overwhelming. Boba were cooked perfectly. It's a shame they have no plant milk options because that eliminates most of the menu for people with milk sensitivity/allergy (and vegans). But it's so great to find a tea place that actually brews good tea. Would do again next time I'm in this area of the country.“

“Randomly stumbled upon this spot when picking up some dinner, and I am very glad I did! This place is pretty hidden away in a shopping center, and I believe you have to park a bit far away from it, but I can be wrong. They have a bunch of flavors to choose from which is super cool and there is a lot of seating which is perfect if you are going with a big group. The people running the shop were very sweet and helped accommodate my drink since I don't drink whole milk. I tried the Coconut Ice Blend with Almond Milk and Boba, and it was very yummy. It was the perfect amount of sweetness and I love the creamy coconut flavor. I can't wait to go back and try more drinks!“

“It's an unassuming shop that has a good variety of banh mis (sandwhiches) among other typical Vietnamese Deli selections. The sandwhiches were pretty good and fairly priced. They definitely hit the spot when you've got that craving! The staff is very friendly, if a little bit sparse. They do work quickly to get yoru order prepared. I liked their selection of banh mis, they've got the classics and few others for the uninitiated. The bread was great, crunchy exterior and soft on the inside. The shop isn't much, but if you're there for a quick bite it's not that much of a factor - cause all you want is that banh mi flavor! Would return to grab another bite!“

“This has become one of my regular spots since moving to the area. Often, you have to choose between good food and good boba, but here you get both! I got a latte with boba and was surprised how good the coffee tasted. Highly recommend the chicken and the cream cheese wontons. We got our drinks 10 or so minutes after the scheduled time.The actual drink flavor was really good! The pink beauty is a grapefruit drink with aloe and aiyu jelly. If you want a lighter drink, this is it. I got it with less ice and 30% sugar which was perfect. Strong grapefruit flavor. Other than that everything else about what I got was really good! It was a little softer than usual this time around but still good. I also love that you can substitute for Stevia as a healthier option.
