“i stop by to get a snack here relatively often. fairly quick service + nice selection! even though they mainly do drinks, i actually typically get their food. one of the only spots on campus open later at night so it can be a LIFESAVER 😭😭 please keep it that way !! ton of students r awake and need something to eat at these times, i can’t believe other places on campus close so early“

“Super stoked they finally opened up a boba place in this center. The place is located in a shared unit (same owner I think) as Crispy Burger. Nothing better than a double smashed burger, some salty fries and power that down with an Ice cold boba!“

“Love this place!!!! Wasn’t sure what to expect when I first walked in off spec, but it’s now my new fav. I am not a fan of yoghurt, but this is more milky yumminess rather than Yoplait. They make their yoghurt fresh in store. They even have a coconut yoghurt for the vegan among you. The many toppings are super fun too. Try one you would never think to add and you’ll probably really enjoy it. The purple rice or oats add a nice chew to your drink. I like the mango pomelo sago with extra sago. My husband likes the avocado add banana and oats. Super clean and always friendly. Try something different today.“

“The place has a pretty good space, a lot of seating compared to other cafes. Parking was pretty easy as well since it’s in a plaza.

Staff overall was nice and helpful but minus 1 star because we got total of 5 drinks and there was only 2 of us. And it threw me off when they weren’t gonna give us a bag or drink carrier and when we asked, the guy was so confused and lost. He gave us a little cup holder that holds 2 drinks💀 Not two of those, just 1. Don’t even wanna bother asking for another one at that point.“

“There were two extremely patient and kind girls working the counter today and they made this place worth talking about. We are from Orlando, FL and we have been itching to find a good Boba spot for the last 4 days. As soon as I walked in, I felt like I already won the lottery. Their churro donut is phenomenal and light, but what really impressed me was when we went off menu and I asked for a taro coconut item. One of the girls said that she likes those two best when they are mixed together in a smoothie and...she did not disappoint. The taro coconut smoothie is better than anything I have tried in Orlando. In addition, I decided to try something new and asked for the pink coconut milk tea (essentially it was strawberry and coconut). Once again, I LOVED the drink. I hope I do come back to San Diego soon and bring family along with me because I loved the atmosphere, employees/customer service, and menu items.

“The boba here is bomb!! It’s reasonably priced for the size you get and they offer different sweetness levels which is so nice! I’ve tried the roasted oolong and strawberry milk tea with boba and definitely recommend when in the area. The staff are also very friendly snd always do a good job with the drinks.“

“reminds me of Taiwan, specifically a typical cafe in Gaoxiong, which is the most comparable place to SD in the US. It's spacious, comfortable (cushion for butts without cushion), family-friendly, pet-friendly, games for kids, a piano: it's basically a day-care center. The decoration is very DIY and neat, which is what really gave me Taiwan vibes. Yellow lights (I don't know why other shops use bright white office lights..) They know how to decorate on a budget. Clean bathroom. Clearly a family business. The owners are from Guangdong, but theyre quite different from the city people. Maybe San Diego slowed them down.. If this is the vibe of SD, I'm def lovin' it!

drinks are pricey, $6+ with boba. Boba isn't free. Standard milk tea is solid, but even at 30% sweetness, it's quite sweet. Egg puff for $5 is cute.

only downside is the location is on a random busy street corner, and you might have to look for parking.“

You can customize your drink - no ice, less sugar,etc at no extra charge. It’s dangerous for my waistline but worth it. It’s a small shop and there’s not really an area to sit down to hang out. “Something that stands out is they offer brown sugar milk TEA, not just a milk based drink. There are many choices and drinks come out fast. Even with 0% sugar, the brown sugar milk tea tends to be sweet. On first glance the prices are on the higher end, but the size of the drink is quite big and shareable. Wushiland is a decent alternative if you don’t want to wait for HeyTea.“

“I've been a fan of Wong Fu for years and since we were visiting SD, I was excited to visit Bopomofo!

I tried their Spring menu and got the High Mountain Paradise drink with tapioca. It featured fresh mango and peach. I really enjoyed how refreshing the drink was and how it wasn't overwhelmingly sweet (I opted for 0% sweetness level, so the fruit was the only source of sweetness).

The staff was friendly. Lots of people were studying, but we found a spot on the counter and even had enough space for my baby in his stroller.
