“Love the regular Matcha! So good, not too bitter and not too sweet. I also tried the PARU Milk Tea which was too milky for me and the flavor of the tea was not very strong which I would have preferred. Not really a place to sit and drink more like a grab and go place. LOVE THAT it’s made with oatmilk as I am vegan.“
“This place was a big of a hidden gem - the service was incredible for fast casual and the empanadas and beans and rice were probably the best we have had - cooked perfectly and so well seasoned. We also loved the Ropa Vieja. Also don't miss the Cuban coffee and a cinnamon roll!“
“We got the fish sandwich and it was incredible - truth be told it was so good that we have been trying to recreate it at home and nothing comes close! You have to head out to Cafe Vahik to try the real thing! We also got an omelette which was also really good. Cafe Vahik is a lovely place to get your breakfast or lunch. They have plenty of healthy options, large portions, and good food. It's more of a casual dining place where you order and pick up your meal at the counter and pay as you leave. They have both indoor and outdoor seating options. Lovely place that we would love to go back to!“
“Came here to do work and have a drink and the atmosphere is perfect for a beautiful day in lj to do laptop work.Great coffee and amazing matcha on tap which I was surprised how good it was! I also had their soyrizo bowl and it was pretty tasty! They have lots of breakfast and lunch options, more than any coffee shop I've been to“
“I took my 5 year old daughter here after school. We loved it. Its close to many schools in the Village. You can tell when school gets out. There's a nice front corner table with a fun view. We sat with the owner and talked for a while. He's very nice and I can tell he loves this place. We loved everything. Sweet and savory crepes. They have some creative crepes. Thier frozen yogurts are also great.“
“Best Ice cream spot in La Jolla! Cute shop down by the beach, with an exceptional variety of choices. Got the Cafe Latte Swirl and it was amazing. Friendly staff, with great patience in trying flavors. Would recommend for anyone visiting the “
“This place is wonderful!! Great neighborhood friendly vibe and fun and relaxing morning atmosphere. Lisa is an absolute delight and we came back the second day just to see her and another delicious breakfast! (Not to mention the store inside that also has everything a person needs!)“
“Went to PB Farmers Market yesterday and what a delightful surprise to find this coffee truck! The cortado was perfect and the blueberry lime cookies divine!! We will be back soon to their Garnet location! Well Done!Parking: Street parking and lots nearby“
“I'll admit, I'm still unsure about the pronunciation of this place, but it's become my favorite hidden Italian gem nestled in La Jolla. Saturday mornings here are my little escape - a cappuccino with oat milk and a pistachio croissant. The vibes are spot-on - a perfect blend of beachy, chill, and romantic. While I've had better croissants elsewhere, this one holds its own, landing on the better end of the spectrum. The cute cappuccino cup, complete with a little dried flower on top, adds a delightful touch. The food selection, in my opinion, is decent - nothing mind-blowing, but pretty good. If I had to choose, the salmon toast gets my vote over the avocado toast. However, it's the vibes, cappuccino, and croissants that keep drawing me back. I've already made this my go-to spot for those lazy Saturday mornings.“
“My son found this diner online, I love diners!Especially when they have been around since 1960, that speaks volumes! Our breakfast was delicious…. Hash browns were crispy but tender inside! Food rocked, and I’ll be coming back again!Cheers to the staff that were so super nice!?“
“Super cute cafe. Glad I found it. It's got a coffee menu and a few food options. I got really good avocado toast. There is a decent amount of seating but it does seem busy so I had to wait for a spot. But it's a great view and the service is friendly.“
“Subterranean is amazing!! I’m so happy they opened this location, I’ve been going to the north park and South Park locations for years but this one is much closer. They have the best acai bowls I’ve ever had and their coffee is delicious. I love the different flavor combinations they create too. Check them out!“
“Great location, staff, and coffee. I enjoy stopping here on longer bike rides for an energy boost and I’m always greeted warmly with a lovely place to take a rest. There is ample outdoor seating which seamlessly blends into the café, such a great atmosphere.I love the coffee here. I recently sampled a matcha donut and it was delicious. I look forward to trying more pastries.“
“Great service, first time there and I got their Vietnamese coffee half sweetened with an egg salad sandwich. (It will now be my go to) It was busy, but I received my drink and food quickly. Will be going there again! Lots of chairs and seating areas as well to sit at and perfect do some studying.“
“The coffee and bakery tastes pretty good. Barista was friendly. I bought some whole beans, although they don’t mark the date when the beans were roasted or an expiration date. To have the best of coffee a fresh roast and consumption in a month or so is a must.“
“Everything I've had from here is amazingly delicious! Great flavor and wonderful combinations of ingredients. The prices are a little high and portions on the smaller side, but I assume it's all high-qualify, organic, so it's understandable.“
“This place has some thing for everyone. I particularly like the Hawaiian Punch smoothie and will drive 20 mins just for it. No other smoothie I've had at other juice places come close to how good this drink is. My son loves the Raspberry macaroons. If you want a drink less thick than a smoothies but still fruity, try the watermelon slush add strawberries.“
“Amanda and Gloria have such a delightful personality and are always hard at work making their customers feel at home with their beautiful friendly smiles. The food is beyound delicious and the atmosphere is very unique. I have been eating here many times and have brought in family/friends too. Everyone has been happy and thankful to have eaten here as well as meeting Amanda and Gloria ? A must visit spot!“
“Carlos, the owner, was our host and was playing some very cool/hip music which we loved. He introduced himself and told us all about this new venture for him and his partner and wife. The smoothie I got was delicious (mango) and so was the one my wife got (coconut). Make sure to stop by and have some samples and then pick the one you like best. Que Dios Los bendiga! And why not…it’s JC….“
“Incredible and affordable breakfast spot with only limited outdoor seating. Very cute and country theme. I had a bagel sandwich which was great. They have a decent but small coffee bar for creamer, chocolate, or cinnamon. Good and fresh coffee. Scones looked incredible but u didn't buy any. Next time!!“
“I'll start by saying I never leave reviews, just not my jam typically. But I really appreciated the barista checking in as he was making my half caf americano. I cut down the caffeine intake as it gets later in the day and he let me know their version would still be equivalent to a full at most other cafes, then offered to customize it unprompted. Excellent service, above and beyond the job description. I'll be back for sure.“
“Tasty coffee. Not expensive! This coffee shop is inside the Jcc, and because of the crazy world we live in, you need to be able to pass through security and get in the building. But if you are here for a performance or event, or are a JCC member, The coffee is quite tasty. And there is a great patio outside.“
“i love coming here for shows because i know it’s a place cares a lot about the safety of the attendees. on top of that the people who work there are super nice and the shows there are always wild and fun.this is a sober space so keep that in mind when coming here. this is a great venue and i can’t wait to come here again. long love che cafe!“
“Ordered the bagel with the spicy spread , mocha & cinnamon roll( from the French bakery )- outstanding. From the east coast, I was a bit shocked by how good the squaw bagel was. The base was not soggy , perfect toast and crunch. I’m back and still thinking about it.“
