“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Candor in La Jolla, and it's safe to say that I found a hidden gem. Chef Giuseppe's culinary skills are truly impressive. The arancini were crispy and packed with flavor, while the short ribs were incredibly tender and delicious. The fisherman stew was a delightful medley of fresh seafood, and even the burger exceeded my expectations. The cozy ambiance and friendly staff added to the overall relaxed and enjoyable experience. If you're looking for a memorable dining experience in La Jolla, Candor is definitely worth a visit.“

“I am getting on a plane to leave San Diego and I already miss cove house! Came here for three days in a row on this trip and cannot race enough about the staff, Caitlin (sorry if I’m not spelling your name right girl!) is by far one of the best bartenders I’ve ever encountered. Which is saying a lot for me considering I’m a former bartender who has been in bars coast to coast. She was so attentive, welcoming and all around a day of sunshine. We also had the pleasure of having Carl at the bar as well. I cannot not wait to come back and wish Caitlin was at the bar across the street from my home! The food was also excellent! We had the Crab BLAT, steak frites, salad and candied bacon. All made with care and extremely fresh. This is worth a stop in La Jolla, especially if you’re going up that hill.“

“Chef Felix and family put together an excellent meal. Every. Single. Day.I've been going here for 4+ years and am still going back. Everytime Chef curates, weekly, a menu and will even still make you almost anything you can cook on a skillet. From flatbreads, to home made soups, and a Cubano I would fight you for, they make a bit of everything.¡Provecho!“

“This place has good food, good drinks, and great staff. Sarie was there the first night I went and good god that woman is amazing at her job. She was bussing tables, slinging drinks, taking orders, and serving food. On a busy Sunday night she was everywhere and was kind, efficient, and doing great in a stressful situation. Whatever you pay here, she deserves double at least. That kind of effort is rare and valuable. She needs to be payed accordingly. The second night Cassidy was there along with Sarie and they are the actual dream team. Once again the food was great, the drinks were exactly right and the vibes were great. Cassidy was very good at bartending and serving and the two of them made a full house feel like light work. Keep those two as long as you possibly can!“

“Very reasonable price, especially considering it is "venue food." Chicken Cesar sandwich was amazing, but definitely takes a bit longer to cook then the other menu item. It is outside the aquarium, but the parking is the same space.“
“I love this spot. Definitely a hidden gem on campus; I try to get there every time I'm booked to work at UCSD. The menu, from starters to desserts, is impeccable; far beyond that of which you'd expect to find on a university campus. The service is so good that I'm actually disappointed every time I'm reminded that the wait staff doesn't accept tips! Recommended items - The toasts appetizer and the steak entree. Stellar!!!“

“We had breakfast at the restaurant. The prices seemed high for the offering and quality: About $30 for the meal with coffee or juice. Pancakes were unavailable unless you spent $35 for a gourmet version. Oatmeal was watery. Avocado toast didn't use fresh avocadoes but a premade guacamole. The tomato jam was tasty.
Dietary restrictions: Make this known upfront.
Wheelchair accessibility: Restaurant can be reached by drop-off at the front desk area and then taking the sidewalk to the right.“
“My favorite place for breakfast & lunch in La Jolla! The freshest food & yummiest freshly baked goods. My favorites: cornmeal pancakes, basil & Parmesan chicken salad sandwich, arugula salad, chicken Caesar wrap, almond cake & banana cake! Everything is delicious!“

“Another great meal! We went to brunch today and it was excellent. We had the corn and lobster soup which was amazing. We also had the halibut and the chicken salad sandwich and both were very good. The quality keeps up time after time and the setting is classy and upscale.“
