“First visit, I had the Chimichurri Tri-Tip plate ($20.95).
The tri-tip was very good, nicely done. Good flavor and good serving size. Chimicurri sauce was also very good. The fries were served hot and crisp, mixed grilled veg serving was very small, focaccia bread (not shown) was fresh.
The counter service was slow, we were ignored for too long, with no acknowledgement.
We sat on outside patio area, staff was slow to clean tables (there were crows feeding off the leftover plates).“

“It’s our annual place to be every August for the last 17 years: celebrating 50 years of marriage! The food, service and atmosphere right on the beach is heavenly. Our bartender Steve congratulated us and we talked for a short time. Everyone is so friendly, can’t beat the quality of their meals ! We drive out from Phoenix to have their specialty. Well worth the ride❤️❤️❤️“

“Amazing view, but the place was so incredibly loud inside. Luckily, they also have a self service deck on the side of the restaurant and my party just moved out there. I got the happy hour burger and Mac and cheese. Unfortunately, the burger was very salty and the Mac and cheese didn’t really have much cheese on it. Someone else in my party got the fish sandwich and it was amazing!

Update:
Went back for happy hour and got the fish sandwich, unfortunately there really wasn’t much fish at all in my sandwich, this photo was only after a couple of bites. However, the sandwich was really yummy. I also tried the bean dip, it was ok, pretty lemony and not really my thing. They also only gave 3 tiny slices of bread and a couple of chips to eat the dip, which was not enough to eat the dip. I also got the fries and they were amazing. Overall, I really like this place, I just wish they were a little bit more consistent.“

Great vegetable crudités that looks like you are pulling vegies out of a garden but taste delicious (just don’t eat the stems, they are a little bitter) ? My meal was simple—a single patty cheeseburger with nothing on it. The first mess-up was the fries—they were burnt. Then the second mess-up: a burnt burger. Like, crispy burnt. Then my last and final straw—they served me a moldy burger that I thought was flour. Even my friends saw it and agreed after I sent them a picture. I ended up in the hospital. I called the manager, and he didn’t even offer a refund—said I was lying. I told him I’d send proof, and then he said no and hung up in my face. Not only is the manager rude and disrespectful, he cares little for his kitchen’s mistakes—and it cost me a day in the hospital. Cost me the only day I have with my son. All because his chefs are lazy and don’t care what they serve.“

“We had an amazing stay at L'Auberge Del Mar. The hotel was stunning—beautifully updated with modern finishes and stylish furnishings. Our room was exceptional, featuring an incredibly comfortable bed, luxurious bedding, a marble bathroom, and a breathtaking ocean view from the balcony. The hot tub was a perfect temperature for the cool May evening. On Saturday night, there was a gorgeous wedding on the rooftop, and we enjoyed listening to the music from the hot tub. It wrapped up around 10:30 p.m., allowing for a peaceful and restful night’s sleep. The staff was extremely courteous, and the valet service was top-notch. We will absolutely return to this beautiful hotel and highly recommend it to anyone considering a stay—don’t hesitate to book your room!“
