“I've been here twice now and great food both times. Very flavorful dishes, with a good level of spice but not over the top spicy. Last time I asked what their mocktail was and they made it custom for me based on what types of drinks I described, and it was delicious! One time I brough my 4 year-old and it was hard to find many dishes for him to eat since he doesn't like spicy food. He mostly ate coconut rice and then got ice cream down the road after.“

“A good morning when you start your day at this local breakfast spot. This is my third visit and haven't been disappointed. I truly enjoy this establishment for the home vibe to the bloody Mary's. No alcohol today but I highly recommend their drinks. Today I enjoyed a Denver omelette with hash browns. By far the best in town, large portions, and very fluffy. The dinning room was bouncing with conversations and everyone seems happy and content. Today's service as always was professional and attentive! An Oceanside staple, I highly recommend a visit.“
“We hit up the Lab on our last night in Oceanside, and were quickly greeted and sat outside on the beautiful patio. The only negative I have, which was clearly just a mix up and resolved as soon as it was realized, was that we sat for nearly 25 minutes before someone came over. We didn't say anything for a while as we were exploring the menu, chatting and just taking in the scene, but once we did, the manager apologized and sent someone right over.The house white pasta was fantastic, and while there are other, more exciting things on the menu, I was just craving pasta and it was perfect! My husband got the jerk chicken sandwich and literally inhaled it; he loved it! The tater tots, too. Kids meals were great portions and enjoyed. One of the best meals we had in Oceanside!“

The pecan crusted salmon with brussel sprouts and sweet potato mash was incredible. Never have I ever had such delicious b sprouts and I was worried the sweet potatoes would be too sweet but they were perfect. The salmon was equally delicious and all around the dish was full of perfect bites.“

“Wow, I was blown away by my first visit here. The dishes I tried (a cauliflower and a protein cup apps) were so far beyond brewpub food it blew my mind. “Went here yesterday after doing a venue tour. It's been on my list of places to try. I got the classic eggs Benedict with a hazelnut oat milk latte and my boyfriend got their classic breakfast. I like the fact that we can go to the counter first to order and pay before seating. Less time waiting for someone to come and take our order. I think the place is a pretty nice place to go to when you're in Oceanside and just want a quick lunch. Parking is not that great. It's a great area with waterfront views so definitely a place to check out.“

“We've visited PCS multiple times in the past month alone because we appreciate the quality service (including table service), excellent happy hour, and some pretty great cocktails. In an era of counter service only and automated menus, PCS is a great throwback spot for beer, whiskey, food, and service. The building has an indoor/outdoor concept, with a big outside patio wrapping around from the main entrance to the Pacific Coast Highway. Multiple indoor seating options with a view into the distillery. Excellent whiskey.“

There are a ton of different dinner / menu options and working through details was easy and very engaging. We had a party of about 45 people head from WI to CA for our ceremony; everyone was impressed with the night!Some highlights:-We had the whole facility to ourselves for the scheduled hours (which includes on-site bathrooms)-Food was excellent; they worked with us on food priority as we had a bunch of small kiddos who were hungry-Specialty drinks were excellent; they put together a "bride" and "groom's" take on our suggested drinks-Staff was very professional and very upbeat-Great music selection and sound system.-You can watch the kitchen staff work; food is served family style as it's needed (people can eat when they want).Overall: This was our gift to those that came out to see our wedding and it did not disappoint. Anyway, too much of that going on with 3.5% inflation currently and a plate costing 22.00 in cardboard. For the staff blaming the beach- YOU don't have another option for customers so that is totally ON YOU, not the beach. The beach are the bees and birds home. Provide better accommodations, tent...screened indoor eating...as an option. THEN, if people choose to be out in the elements that beg for their food then you can state such an absurd statement that, "its the ocean, not our fault". Definitely stop providing a closing transaction of a page for a tip. Offer a plastic jar and let people choose to do so without being quilted into tipping in such an environment. Goodness great fried fish tho. Work on the attitude too before your business goes south. It always starts with that upturned face of an attitude... ?Like I said, see the Owners response and invalidating of a customer's review. If you want to lie and say there are No Birds or bees at the beach, please customers- reading reviews, check out the pictures of bees others have posted and if you don't know about birds at the beach then yeh... I'm going to predict this place goes downhill within a yr. The attitude of places like this brings its establishment down. We've seen it on restaurant and bar review tv shows. And I had a good day. Why would you imply I had a bad day because of an honest review? Place a plastic jar that says tip. But having somebody pay and showing them a screen and telling them to finish the screen is an air of entitlement in a world where inflation is 3.5%. Chill. And good luck. “What's not to love about this place? Talk about a hidden gem. You can tell the staff enjoy being there as much as the patrons who are always laughing and sharing stories. They have a great selection of beers and other drinks to choose from, DO NOT eat elsewhere as their menu has made from scratch hand crafted options. “Captains is the best local coffee spot around. It's kid friendly and in a walkable location. Close to the beach so we can swing by and get a view of the water after grabbing our coffee and morning snack. The vibe and service are great and it's really affordable. If you bring a cup with you, coffee is only a dollar.“

The design is just interesting because the counter is right when you walk in so everyone has to line up outside to order. It makes it seem like there's a huge wait but really it might just be a few people in front of your to order. Just something to keep in mind. Cute ambiance and atmosphere - half indoor and outdoor. Large menu with lots of choices. I got the turkey croissant sandwich with sweet potato fries. I took a star off because the person I was with ordered sweet potato fries as well and got regular fries. Also thought he was getting an actual tuna sandwich when he ordered the albacore tuna sandwich but it turned out to be a tuna SALAD sandwich. Other than that - great casual lunch spot!“
