“This is a really special restaurant. Their waiting staff is very attentive and deals quite well with children. They also go beyond with regulars in treating them as close friends. It’s quite unique and very special. I’ve also never had a meal here that wasn’t fantastic. I highly recommend any steak dish on the menu. The bread is real good as well. I recommend this restaurant for an upscale family gathering.“

“We had an outstanding, fun lunch at The Tavern last Saturday. The outdoor seating by the bustling Cedros Avenue reminds us of Euro cafes. Joy was our server and bartender - she is really pleasant and certainly helped make our experience a great one. She also makes a wonderful Bloody Mary! We enjoyed the guacamole/chips which were both fresh and homemade. Additionally, we had the lobster dumplings - the port wine sauce is superb. Thanks again for a great time and we will continue to come back.“

“We wanted açaí bowls and found some really fun treats here. I loved that they had some great toppings: pollen, hemp seeds, ashwaganda, chia, etc.

My preference is less sweet, and it tasted like the açaí was sweetened as well as the granola… so that’s why 4 stars for me instead of 5. If you like sweet… you’ll love it.

We also wanted a green drink and the number of green ingredients was a little limited.

“Another great meal! We went to brunch today and it was excellent. We had the corn and lobster soup which was amazing. We also had the halibut and the chicken salad sandwich and both were very good. The quality keeps up time after time and the setting is classy and upscale.“

Came here for three days in a row on this trip and cannot race enough about the staff, Caitlin (sorry if I’m not spelling your name right girl!) is by far one of the best bartenders I’ve ever encountered. “Here visiting from NC. I by chance stumbled upon 7 Mile Kitchen. The food was absolutely amazing and the service was just as wonderful. Henry greeted me with such an amazing smile and made me feel so welcome. He gave great suggestions of his favorite dishes when I asked. He made sure I had everything I could possibly need, loved the personal touches. I also, met Lindsey and she was very welcoming as well. They both were very engaging in conversation and I appreciated it very much seeing as though I am traveling for work. At no time did I feel like a stranger. The rest of the staff were proactive and friendly, and our server had some truly perfect recommendations when it came to cocktails and food. The Ali’i Pau is one of the best drinks I’ve had in San Diego!

The food was great as well, from the Cacio E Pepe, to the Scallops, and the mushroom in the dishes really popped.

And then the dessert! Loved the banana cake, but the chocolate sounded just as amazing, definitely something we’ll be back to try, along side the rest of the menu ?“

They offered a variety of food for everyone’s liking. My cheeseburger was the black and blue, and it was heavenly. Next time we’re in Carlsbad, will be sure to eat there again Great spot!!!“
